Patch not installing - how can I access my game?

I'm getting angry with this monthly patch thing. The March patch could not be installed, it failed at finalizing and told me the ts4 touchup exe crashed. Retrying did nothing good, and I reinstalled both Origin and the entire game to make it work. Now the April patch does the same, crashing at finilazing, telling me Touchup crashed, and then when I try to repair the game, it also stops at finalizing "The Sims 4 Limited Edition" (I'm still waiting for a popup telling me about the touchup thing)

So - am I the only gamer in the entire world having this problem? Installing patches obviously was not a problem for me until the March patch. I have no mods except a handfull CC for clothing and make-up, but I would thing the game turns them off during the patching process. I have no idea why I have problems with this now, as I changed nothing in my game or PC. I played the game fine few days ago.

Is there a way to unsubscribe from those patches? Or does EA expect me to waste my limited gaming time on reinstalling monthly? How can I solve this?

You can't ignore the patches. Just reinstall your game and Origin again. And place your mod folder somewhere else.

I am sorry that you are having these issues. There has been other simmers who have has issues with installing patches, and have found reinstalling origin helps. You shouldn’t need to uninstall /reinstall the game,
Go to Windows update and make sure that your computer is uptodate with patches, before patching the game, Sometimes issues can arise if both the computer ( windows update ) and the game are trying to patch at the same time.

Thanks for feedback. But they can't seriously expect that we reinstall Origin + the game every month??? It takes up to 45 minutes... Even if only reinstalling Origin, it's plunder that should not be needed to do twelve times a year. It was not us the gamers who decided to run TS4 through Origin.

Windows was updated yesterday, and is set to not run updates without my approval, so that will not be a problem.

Try reinstalling origin without uninstalling /reinstalling the whole sims 4 game and see if that helps the issue.
Also , logging out of origin, closing down your computer completely, then restarting the computer and logging back into Origin, can help when this issue occurs.
