When I go on vacation on the adventure it doesn’t let me go to the market or the temple?

Do I have to unlock something or is there a trick

You can't travel to the area you have to travel to a location within the area. For the market it's easiest to visit the Cantina since the market area is right outside of it. Alternatively you could travel to the museum and have your sim walk to the area where the market is (again right outside the Cantina lot)

For the temple you do have to unlock the path to get there. Travel to the Trail head park lot and the first gate you have to go through is located next to it. You'll need to hack through it and then continue to follow the locked gates until you reach the temple.
