Sims 3 Shutting down while loading town

I've been having a issue with the sims for a few months now. The launcher opens fine, once you pick the family you want to play it will load about half way then my laptop will completely shut down. EVERY SINGLE TIME! Updated Origin a few times but that never seems to fix the problem. I have a HP Probook 6550b with 140 GB free of 221 GB. Only run the game with two expansion packs at a time. I have know idea what requirement my laptop isn't meeting. If anyone has any idea how to fix this problem Please lend a hand! Really miss playing the Sims 3

The laptop is shutting down, as in suddenly powering off, completely?

We've already covered this, I believe, and we already have your dxdiag report... http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/925377/laptop-shuts-down-help-please

Your laptop is not strong enough to play TS3 very well, I'm afraid. Forcing the game on it will possibly burn the laptop out to the point where it becomes unusable for anything as it's just not designed for games like this.

Laptops, under-powered or otherwise, do not improve with age. Given that this one is tight on RAM and has no dedicated graphics card, there likely isn't much one can do with it other than hopefully find a stronger computer on which to play the game. Or perhaps give TS2 a try, it's much less demanding on hardware.
