Cheers @chesterbigbird - so you would recommend the Mwave option over the Predator because the parts are better quality? I might pop in there and have a chat about what might suit my needs best.

@chesterbigbird - Another friend recommended a place called MSY... Have you heard of them? I could get an ASUS PRIME H270-Plus Motherboard, 16GB, Intel Core i7-7700 3.60GHz / 4.20GHz, with upgrade to 4GB NVidia GTX1050Ti, for $1,669 (including monitor)... seems like a pretty good deal?

Yeah, I only play PC games. My current computer does not good with gaming. I live in Ireland.

@chesterbigbird - It was just from a "build your own" price list (which I can't link to because I'm too new). Those service ratings have pretty well turned me off that option though! Looks like Mwave it is. Would rather pay a little bit more to know I'm going to people who know what they're talking about. :)

I debated allot on who to get my pc from, I know how to build from scratch however really did not have the patience to do so this time around, So i looked for places who did custom desktops, There were allot that did and Mwave was on the more expensive side. But when you factor in reviews and the fact i had brought from them several times before it was a easy choice to choose Mwave.. I'm glad i did.
They do complete custom desktops, so you can choose any hardware you like and they will build it. There hardware is no more expensive then other places but they do charge $150 to build. (they do a good job.) https://www.mwave.com.au/cpc/dreampcx

@chesterbigbird - Zip Money! Amazing. I'm thinking of going in there this weekend to purchase. I don't think I'm at the level where I need to build my own.
I was wondering whether you can explain why you'd recommend the one you linked me to over the Mwave E31a Gaming PC - GTX 1050 Ti Edition (Intel Core i5 7500 4 Cores up to 3.8GHz Processor - Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB Video Card - 8GB (2x 4GB) DDR4 Memory up to 2400MHz - Primary 240GB SSD - Secondary 2TB HDD Gigabit LAN - 7.1 CH HD Audio - RGB lighting kit with Remote - Windows 10 Home 64-Bit - Assembled & Tested - 2 Years Return to Base Warranty)?

Again, thanks for all your help.
In general Intel "was better" then AMD. However the i5 7500 is intels last generation cpu and the Ryzen is AMD's latest cpu. The Ryzen has more cores and will perform almost the same in gaming as the intel but when it comes to Multi tasking and using programs that use all the cpu cores.. then AMD will win hands down because of the extra cores.
So it performs the same in gaming but has the added bonus of performing better at multi core programs. So I would choose the Ryzen.
Intel has their latest cpu in the 8TH generation but it's going to set you back more $$ and it's something you probably do not really need.
Hi all! I want to play the sims games with the best possible graphics and performance and I'm wondering which computer would be better to play it on cause I don't really know much about that kinda stuff. So I have a 2013 macbook pro which I have for school on which I've been running bootcamp to play the sims games ever since I got the computer but I am now starting to wonder if maybe my old laptop (an acer aspire) would run the game better? My boyfriend also offered to let me have his old laptop to use which is a Lenovo so basically I'm wondering out of the three which one would run the game best because I want to have the best performance and graphics I can. Here is the dxdiag for the Lenovo:
(I'm aware the systems may not be updated or have up to date drivers but I'll fix that when I choose the best one to play on)

So basically I'm wondering of those 3 which will run the game the best, I know it depends on things like RAM, processor and graphics card but I don't know enough about what's what to figure out which is best so any help would be super appreciated!! :)
@ali1123 Both the Acer and Lenovo laptops are below requirements to run the game. I suspect you will have issues running the game on both if your playing more than the base game. As for Mac, you would have to ask the Mac section. They have their own version of the game

Yes I know but I am playing the game on Windows 10 through bootcamp
@lrnblsm Do you play on Mac OS or bootcamp? I've been playing on bootcamp since sims 4 came out as it was not initially released for mac and kept at it on bootcamp because I've heard that it runs better that way but it doesn't run great (runs sluggishly, no crashing and not too much lag but doesn't run fast in general), meanwhile the sims 3 and 2 run really well (which is odd) so does running it in Mac mode actually work better?
If I were to build/buy a gaming pc what specs would you recommend to be able to run all sims games on highest settings and also be able to run other PC games as well so if I ever decide to switch off of console I won't need to build another PC

I can't tell you if the sims 4 would play better on windows or directly on Mac. You would have to ask the Mac section that question. The sims 3 plays better through bootcamp windows. I have seen people with lower end hardware be able to play the mac version better than PC version.

Your welcome. You might have to test out the sims 4 yourself to see if it runs better for you directly on Mac rather than bootcamp windows. From what I have seen the Mac version of the sims 4 might be more stable than the PC version of the game

So basically I'm wondering of those 3 which will run the game the best, I know it depends on things like RAM, processor and graphics card but I don't know enough about what's what to figure out which is best so any help would be super appreciated!! :)

Yes I know but I am playing the game on Windows 10 through bootcamp
Do you play on Mac OS or bootcamp? I've been playing on bootcamp since sims 4 came out as it was not initially released for mac and kept at it on bootcamp because I've heard that it runs better that way but it doesn't run great (runs sluggishly, no crashing and not too much lag but doesn't run fast in general), meanwhile the sims 3 and 2 run really well (which is odd) so does running it in Mac mode actually work better?
I can't tell you if the sims 4 would play better on windows or directly on Mac. You would have to ask the Mac section that question. The sims 3 plays better through bootcamp windows. I have seen people with lower end hardware be able to play the mac version better than PC version.
If you want to build a desktop PC, you can speak to @chesterbigbird . She would need your budget and country and will help you with a partpicker list

Okay thank you for your help, I'll try posting there! :)
Your welcome. You might have to test out the sims 4 yourself to see if it runs better for you directly on Mac rather than bootcamp windows. From what I have seen the Mac version of the sims 4 might be more stable than the PC version of the game
Your Welcome!
