soccer practice object like they have in Sims Freeplay

Other hobbies they have in Freeplay that they don't in Sims 4:
Diving board for those of us who prefer them to diving platforms: both high dive and low dive
Chocolate making tray or option added to stove (with optional cocoa harvestable)
    Fingerpainting easel for toddlers
    Fashion designing hobby/sewing machine
Playhouse for toddlers/children - or a bouncy house
Karate practice/ballet practice for children (or add tweens)
Salsa dancing moves for teens/young adults/adults
Active movie career (or add this with a Fame EP/GP)
    Model catwalking hobby
Empty 64x64 lot to build malls, mansions, etc.
Drum set and bass guitar musical instruments - bring back ability to form a band from TS2

I have been playing The Sims since 2001, when Livin Large came out. My avatar deliberately looks like Chris Roomies from TS1.

Temporary hobbies they have had in City Girl Life (Facebook game) that they don't in Sims 4: (these are the ones that might have potential as opposed to the ones already in Sims 4)

Zumba dancing added with Fitness stuff pack
    Break dancing/hip hop music
Wax sculpting (this has potential if added with a Supernatural EP - bring figures to life)
Picnicking with blanket or tablecloth and picnic basket
    Gift wrapping
    Arts and crafts
    Cinco de Mayo
    Anime Convention (cosplay outfits/hairs)
    Origami
    Surfboard decorations
    Western themes
    Food judging contests
    Pottery sculpting
    Circuit board table/robotics designing
    Graduation/University EP
Horse show/training (also in Sims Freeplay)
    Weightlifting
    Knitting/crocheting
    Oktoberfest
    Cider press/nectar press
Hot chocolate (drinkable not just decoration)
Ticket booth (we already have the movie screen)
    Potluck event
    World culture studies
    St. Patricks Day stuff
    Floating candles decoration
    Medieval decorations
Superstitious decorations (Lucky horseshoe, four leaf clover)
Stepladder (usable please) - also please add a regular ladder usable by Sims like a stairs.

Sims 1 ideas that haven't made it into Sims 4:

    Skateboarding/snowboarding half-pipe
    Snow fort/snowball fight
    Beach/lawn volleyball
Lifeguard chair (seriously, where are the lifeguards at the pool)
Whack a mole/ticket rewards for carnival games
    Souvenir shelf/display cabinet
    Black rose bouquet
    Spinning wheel
    Nectar making
Canning (though there is a Sims 4 mod for this)
    Superstar/Fame activities: catwalk/posing/modelling, acting/fencing
    Fame trophies
Taxis/trolleys/Limos (at least they would stop for your Sim)
Build your own roller coaster (Makin Magic)
    Mini Golf
    Checkers game
Rent remote control boats (maybe add remote control vehicles too and even drones or remote control mini planes)
    Magic wands/spellbooks
    Magic duelling
    Recipe books
Set of encyclopedia books (even if only for decoration)
Landline phones: both the type that sit on a surface and wall-mounted (even if just for decoration)
Trash compactor (preferably fits under counter)

Sims 1 PG MODS that haven't been implemented in most Sims games yet:
Miniature cities the size of Sim dollhouses
    Hand dryer machine
    Water cooler
    Monopoly game (licensing probably required)
    Superhero costumes (may require licensing)
Ridable motorbikes that would work only on one lot (tends to drive around in a random pattern) - this would be ideal for trikes actually.
Kiddie pool (toddler sized) - this was decor only for Sims 1.
Wide variety of plants: different colors of rose bushes, many different species of decorative outdoor plants.

This is a BACKYARD HOBBIES thread, not an everything I want in the game thread. Please don't clutter it with ideas that don't apply to backyard stuff. If we want the devs to take note of our ideas, they should be focused, not a list of stuff from other games entirely.

I definitely want more backyard hobbies. Things my sims can do together without having to watch TV, movies, or play video games. Playing catch would be nice, as well as a lawn sprinkler. I would love a normal telescope as well. And I really like the idea of kids flying kites. That would be adorable.

Some of the stuff mentioned here could and should be added to a Seasons EP. The Seasons EP is usually the one that is filled with all kinds of outdoor activities for every time of year. I wouldn't be thrilled about having to buy them in a separate pack. Then, what would they add to Seasons?

But it's not an actual object sims can use, is it? I didn't even know this was a thing.

I've always liked the idea of skateboarding, but it's never been implemented. Still hoping. Love all these ideas.

no sims can't use it but the animation is already there so I think adding a kite would be easy

When I think of backyard hobbies I think of gardening... so some new gardening gameplay would be a lot of fun like creating greenhouses and conservatories. And then taking harvestables and using them at a canning station to make homemade jams, and collecting nectar at the nectary by purchasing something similar to the L'amour des Fruits Nectar Maker our sims had to purchase in order to make nectar at home.

but they don't add as many activities in eps as they use to so if we want these things they will have to be spread out @Cynna

Yes, I know. It's inevitable. The Sims Series is going to go down the same path as all the rest of the series that EA has nickel and dimed to death. Eventually, they're going to remove so much that the audience will rebel en masse. Though, by then, it will be too late. Like so many other wonderful series before it, the suits at EA will throw up their hands, insist that there is no longer an audience, and they will shut it all down.

Sure enough, everything does end. I just don't want to see the series killed out of pure greed and poor decisions.

By the way, thank you for the invitation to speak further. That was very kind of you. I extend the same offer as well. :)
