@bebasim , It was revealed in I think the update before last that VJ is the one with the obsession, and no stalkers in this story I do have one with Mortimer Goth being stalked by a wacko werewolf that I need to post here . L is just a sweet good guy. Yes, Light was very jealous and a bit controlling with Becky, he had his own set of issues (including secretly gay curious) that I wish I had explained a bit more in the story.
@Charlottesmom hehe but your cliff hangers twist in ways no one can predict and i love it, we never know L might be twisted... nahh he's too sweet and beautiful! I can see why we all love him... just options and thoughts after your last update
Ohhhhhhh that other story sounds interesting too... when you put it up do let me know, love me a good psycho story.
As for VJ he's a worry non the less.... for some reason i DO NOT trust him.... i got bad feelings about this crazy chap.
I thought i recall Meggie's father (Light) had some issues of jealousy... funny how Meggie is almost living a similar life to her mother.... I just hope she doesn't fall into his trap of disguise or professional victim attitude..... He does creep me out a little as a character, lol even as a sim through reading your story he was one i always shuddered when i seen him, just something non appealing about VJ.

I don’t know how to respond to this last update . It went a totally different direction than I was expecting it to. I thought Meggie had seen the light, although she is behaving like a true victim of abuse. I find it hard to believe that VJ will be able to change his ways, even if he feels guilty about the way he’s been treating her. He has clearly been involved in this relationship a lot longer than she has. I just hope that Ethan and Parker will keep an eye on VJ and watch for signs of his controlling behavior returning. I’m anxious to see how this plays out!
I did a bit of reading up on the behavior of abused women and why they sometimes stay in an abusive relationship, I want Meggie realistic. VJ’s behavior is realistic too, the abuser and victim will sometimes go through a honeymoon phase where the abuser will stop the abuse, thus making the victim believe the abuser is capable of change....he may or may not be.

Meggie really should NOT have kept the fact that VJ hit her to herself. The advice given to her would be totally different it everyone knew about it.
The fact that VJ burned his notebooks is a good sign but, I have to agree with everyone else I'm afraid that the "new VJ" will be sort lived and he will return to his controlling ways.
It was the morning of the Silent period, Meggie was looking forward to three days of some deep soul searching, and the quiet would do wonders for her and VJ she suspected.
She did sneak in one call to L right before everything was to go quiet...L was at the spa working on some paint choices for the lobby when she called.
"Gonna miss me for the three days?" she asked teasingly
"Yes of course I am, we haven't gone more than 24 hours of not talking or seeing each other ever since I met you seven years ago..."
"I'm so glad I met you L, I was really sad that day and you cheered me right up, I never forgot that.."
"I remember, it was right after your dad died, your mom just kept smiling at us when we were playing on the swings."
"I miss my mom, and dad..."
"I'm your family now, Lee would love to be your big brother, he really likes you. You also have Edward, and Connor and Jared are practically your fathers! We all love you Meggie, don't forget that.."
"I won't...L...I love you..." she whispered
"I love you too Meggie...I wish I could see you right now.."
"No you don't I'm in my undies..." she giggled..
'Oh good God'...he thought picturing her in her little white undies.....then mentally smacked himself for letting his per*vy male mind go there..
They agreed to talk Monday night after she saw VJ. Meggie hung up and sighed...
L got an instant migrane...'she's going to kill me' he thought to himself...
He sighed heavily and instantly texted Lee...
'Help!! Meet me at the diner'...he texted.
"What's up big bro?"
"Why the he*ck are you always so happy Lee?" L was somewhat jealous of his brother, he was such an upbeat guy, he barely ever saw him in any sort of bad mood.
"Clean living dude!" Lee replied..
"You used the emergency text so what's up, lady problems?" Lee snickered, he knew what was bugging his brother, it was always the same.
"Lee, I can't stop thinking about her, and she's going out with VJ, that kid popped a screw when his mother left them..not that I can blame him"
"Is he really messed up, do you think he would hurt her?" Lee look concerned.
"I'm not sure, she mentioned him hurting her before but I doubt he would ever get physical with her, and if he ever did I'd rip his head off!"
"She would tell you if he was hurting her so I'm sure she's fine...but add me to the ripping his head off list if he ever hurt her! Hey L this wouldn't have anything to do with her not talking to you for three days?"
"I shouldn't have told you about that, now you won't have any fun guessing why I'm depressed for the next three days.." L laughed.
"I'll be here for you..." Lee said seriously.
"You're the best little brother ever!" L said as he hugged his brother

I do wish Meggie would have told them and it's true that people don't always see what's happening right under their noses (although, to be fair, L is at a distance) and are often surprised when they finally learn that there was physical violence.
@Charlottesmom Another great update. Meggie is lucky to have supportive friends. Hopefully after her 3 days of quiet time she'll realize she missed L alot more than VJ and won't put up with the possessiveness any more. #teamL
It’s sweet to see Lee be truly concerned about Meggie. You can tell just how much she means to L, because of how much Lee cares about her. He seems like a genuinely good guy. I know he’s not a main character, but I hope we’ll get to see some of his life play out . Back to the story at hand though, I hope Meggie will be strong and truly stay away from VJ for these 72 hours. I think it will be good for her! Can VJ handle it though?
Well if she weakens and goes to him I will be very sad and disappointed! Now I am curious but guess I will be a good reader and not pester you and wait patiently for your next update
I don't trust the little bugger. Man up VJ, get real help, burning books doesn't mean you've changed. It has been going on too long to change because of one conversation, so yeah, I don't trust him. I hope Meggie realizes she needs to tell someone what really happened so he can get the help he needs. I think she does love him as a friend from growing up together, the rest is teenage hormones and the need to be loved since she has lost her parents and L is so far away and needs a youth elixir thrown at him to make him younger! (hehe, nevermind, that only works in my fantasy saves.)
This is either going to be tremendously long or broken into two parts...my laptop was against this part of the story from the get go and konked out 4 times over the course of the two days I needed for setting up and playing. It was going to be a very different chapter, but I decided to do VJ's backstory instead of what I originally had in mind, I like it much better.
Iqbal Alvi was the most eligible bachelor in town, he had no shortage of lady friends but the only lady who truly caught his eye was Marianna, she was young, cute and kind, he adored her from the get go..they got married a mere 3 month after their first meeting.
They moved into a cute little starter home that was affordable...Iqbal carried his beloved over the threshold...
They got to honeymooning right away..
9 months later little Vincent Joseph Alvi was born, named after Iqbal's grandfather..he was dubbed VJ for short.
They were very happy...
They both got jobs as teachers at the school, Iqbal was an English teacher and Marianna was the music teacher. VJ was happy to have both his parents working at his school, he loved seeing his mom and dad in the hallways. They all walked home together after school.
A surprise in the form of a second son showed up a few years later, they named him Miraj.
VJ adored his baby brother, he couldn't wait till he was old enough to play with.
Since Miraj's birth Marianna and Iqbal had started bickering about money, Iqbal was a saver, Marianna was a spender. After a heated exchange Marianna took Maraj and went for a walk.
They were sitting behind the school, Marianna was deep in thought.
A handsome stranger walked over and introduced himself as Devon Green.
Through their conversation Marianna found out he was to be her assistant music teacher, specializing in piano. Marianna loved piano, she had her grandmother's piano and told Devon he was welcome to come over and play it whenever he liked.
They talked until Miraj needed to be fed and was getting grumpy Marianna excused herself and headed home.
Devon took Marianna up on her offer frequently though out the next few years, he and Marianna were very good friends by that time, they were spending a lot of free time together.
Marianna put on a good show in front of VJ and Iqbal but something was brewing..
"Can I talk to you in the kitchen Marianna?"
"I've been laid off from my teaching job, they decided to combing the 9th and 10 grade English classes so they don't need me anymore, I'm going to get 6 months pay and am thinking about staying home and writing a book.."
"How will we make ends meet after the 6 months Iqbal?"
"I'll be done with the book by then and will get a job somewhere in town, don't worry, it will all work out."

'Cool! Can I have a copy when he's done?"
"Sure, I'll make sure he autographs it for you, it will be worth tons of money!"

5 years later...
"Iqbal, it's been 5 years, I've been carrying this family financially...get a job!!"
"But my book is almost done!"
"I'm so sick of your excuses, you never finish that book, 2 years ago you said you were almost done, I want a divorce!"
"Let's not get crazy Marianna, I will be done soon, I promise..."
"I'm sick to death of your empty promises, I'm going to leave you!"
"VJ, they're fighting again...Miraj whispered to VJ, he was getting very upset with all the yelling going on lately.
"Come her little buddy..." VJ embraced his little brother. "I'll take care of you..."
Iqbal rushed upstairs trying to get the finishing touches on the last 5 chapters of his book...he was determined to save his marriage.
Little did he know it was already ruined...
"Did you tell him?" Devon asked.
"Yes, I told him, I don't think he believed me though.."
"He'll believe you tomorrow when you're not there! Are you sure you're okay leaving the kids with him?"
"One thing Iqbal is great at is being a father, the kids adore him, VJ just got on the honor roll for the 15th time in a row because of Iqbal helping him with homework."
"Come here...." Devon pulled Marianna into a kiss. "I can't wait until you're officially mine!" he murmured.
"What are you doing?" Marianna asked Iqbal when she got home hours later..
"I'm finishing my book" Iqbal replied not looking back.
"It's too late Iqbal, I'm leaving in an hour!"
"No you're not, you're MY wife and you will stay by my side!" Iqbal was getting wound up..
"I refuse! You can have the kids though, you are a great father, I'll give you that.."
"You're abandoning your kids?"
"I'm not abandoning them I'm leaving them with their loving father.." she yelled.
"Fine leave but when they grow to hate you it's all on YOU!!" Iqbal screamed at her.

"VJ...." Miraj sniffed trying to hold back the tears...
"I know little buddy..." VJ said quietly, his heart was breaking too...
"Come here, I'll make it better.." He gathered his little brother in a nice warm hug.
"Don't let her leave.." Miraj sniffled..
VJ ran down the stairs when he heard the door slam...He made the mistake of looking out the front window..he felt sick to his stomach!
He ran outside and started screaming at his mother..
"Why mom, WHY? Dad has always been nothing but nice to you!"
"VJ, calm down, I know what I'm doing.."
"Yeah, cheating on dad and abandoning us! We both heard you and dad fighting..."
"VJ, I haven't been in love with your dad for awhile, it just fell apart, I'm in love with Devon, and we want a fresh start..."
"You mean you want to live without me and Miraj!!"
"I will come back to see you every summer vacation, I love you boys but your dad was always the better parent.."
"This royally su*cks mom..."
"I know VJ and I'm really sorry...but you can't help who you fall in love with...remember that."
He watched helplessly as his mother and her "boyfriend" climbed it his clunky broken down car and drove out of his life forever..his heart was slowly turning to stone, he could actually feel the clenching in his chest.
Everyone had a very long cry that night..
Sorrow filled the house...

Everyone was "dealing" with the divorce in their own ways, Miraj was very quiet, Iqbal had started drinking... ..and VJ sunk into his studies, he was already the golden child, strait A's for years on end, college looks very possible, he was popular and kind to all.
There was booze everywhere!
"Dad please stop drinking!" VJ begged after his dad has started drinking in the middle of the day and well into the night..
Iqbal stumbled into the living room..VJ followed.
"Leave me alone you stooped little sh*it!!" Iqbal slurred.
VJ was stunned, his father had never called him names before, he was the kindest man on the planet..
"Dad please, you need to stop drinking, it's not helping anything, it won't make mom come back!" VJ yelled at his dad, feeling anger well up, he had already lost his mother and his father was on a downward spiral, he couldn't bear it.
"You shut your da*mn mouth!!" Iqbal yelled..
He then hauled out and slapped VJ with all his might, VJ felt his cheek sting and his teeth rattle..
That was the day the sweet kind VJ died, he was angry, his dad was a drunk and his little brother was a mute, never wanting to even try to talk to VJ. VJ was alone except for his three best friends none of whom knew how bad things were at home, they had their own problems, they didn't want to hear how VJ's world was falling apart around him...he was 13 and all alone in the world.
He decided to change his looks and attitude to match how he was feeling inside...MAD!

Such a pity that so much love can just up and leave when money is concerned. Of course, it's totally understandable when the pressures of raising children is thrown into the mix. Having a dream is one thing, but being a dreamer is another altogether. Iqbal really should have found himself a job before now.

The three days of silence were finally FINALLY over, first thing Meggie did was call L...
They both expressed how happy they were to hear the other's voice..L sounded absolutely giddy.
Meggie told him she would chat with him on the computer later that night. They said their goodbyes..
Next she called VJ...she was actually nervous to talk to him.
VJ however sounded very excited to talk to Meggie, he said he had something very important to tell her and could he come over so they could talk..she said that would be fine.
He arrived 15 minutes later..
"God I missed you Meggie!" he reached for her and pulled her close..
Meggie was a bit taken aback as VJ was so gentle his hugs usually bordered on squishing. He then asked if they could talk.
VJ announced "I've started going to therapy Meggie, My dad started going a few weeks ago and asked if I would like to join him, I went yesterday, it was not where I wanted to be at first and didn't say anything." Miss Black, the therapist started talking to my dad and she asked if he wanted to say anything to me and...he actually apologized to me!"
"I couldn't believe it Meggie the man actually turned to me, looked me in the eyes and said he was sorry for how he had been treating me for the past 3 years!" VJ smiled and continued..."I forgave him immediately, it was freeing, it felt so good to get rid of all that hate, we stood up and hugged each other and cried for what had to be 5 minutes. Then when we got home we hugged for another 5 minutes...I missed hugging my dad Meggie, he hadn't hugged me for years!"
Meggie was just staring at VJ, he seemed so different, he seemed happy, but she knew better than to let down her guard too quickly with him. Meggie all of a sudden had a brainstorm..."Can I go to therapy with you and your dad?" VJ considered this, and said "Yes, I think that would be a great idea.."
Meggie leaned in and kissed him...it was sweet and gentle, she was going to have to get used to this new VJ, she hoped it would last.
They walked over to couch hand in hand..they sat and enjoyed the warmth from the fire, they occasionally chatted about his therapy session, he was very positive about it. Then all of a sudden he started talking, confessing really..."Meggie I'm so sorry for hurting you and treating you so poorly these past months, I was really angry with everyone and everything. My mother really messed our family up when she left, then my dad started drinking and took every hurt he was feeling out on me, he beat me for years, I never wanted to do that to another person, especially one I care for so deeply..."
He looked deeply into her eyes and continued, "I was so mad at you when I hit you, I was so jealous of L I couldn't see strait, I wanted the attention from you that you were always giving to him, it almost felt like he was your boyfriend..."
"VJ you have nothing to be jealous of I love L but I love him like a big brother, you are my boyfriend..." VJ was hoping to hear a little bit more added to that sentence but it never came..he decided to take whatever Meggie would offer him and be happy.
"Want to go upstairs, there is a good horror movie on tonight." Meggie said happily..
"We can go upstairs but I'm not a fan of horror movies, so if we could watch something else that would be good."
'How can anyone not like a good horror flick' Meggie thought to herself..as she and VJ went upstairs.
Vj was hoping the pictures had vanished, but there they were...Meggie was so attached to 'HIM'.....VJ felt himself tensing up and purposefully concentrated on his breathing as Miss Black had instructed when he started feeling tense.
Meggie let out a huge yawn she was a bit tired and asked if VJ wanted to watch the movie from the bed (knowing full well that was the only way to watch TV in her room)...
VJ leaned in for another kiss before they walked over to the bed.
They both sat on the bed...then laid down so they could see the movie better.
Meggie changed it to a romance film, VJ grinned and nodded a sign of approval. Meggie giggled under her breath she never knew VJ was into chick flicks!
They were both enjoying the movie..
VJ leaned in when the scene on the TV got all hot and se*xie...
He looked he in the eyes and whispered in a tiny little whisper.."Meggie I want you..." Meggie felt herself edge towards VJ, she wanted this too...
"Are you sure..." VJ questioned letting her have an out..."I'm positive..." Meggie answered a bit too quickly.
Things were getting hot and heavy then Meggie heard someone clear their throat...
You never saw a couple separate faster! Meggie was beyond embarrassed...VJ was just scared, very scared. He knew how protective Jared was of Meggie.
"What the he*ll were you doing to Meggie?" Jared used his best scare the little punk voice..
"Ummm, nothing, we weren't going to do anything we were just kissing.." VJ meekly voiced, the kid was scared!
"I suggest you get the He*ll out of here VJ, Meggie is too young for your groping!"
VJ smartly slunk out the door...
"I'm disappointed in you Meggie, he doesn't treat you well enough for such behavior"
"He's changed Jared, he goes to therapy now, he's trying..."
"Meggie, you don't have to tell me but has VJ....ever hit you?"
Meggie was stung by Jared's question...how did he know??
Meggie sighed.."He hit me once..but it was awhile ago and he never did it again, I deserved it, I was talking to L too much and it bothered VJ, he told me I couldn't talk to L anymore and it got me mad so I started yelling at him and he slapped me...."
"I had a feeling...Meggie you don't deserve that treatment from anyone you hear me, nobody should be hitting you in any shape or form!"
"You should look for someone who loves you just as you are, who can accept your quirks and silliness, and realize what a special girl you are, someone who will treat you with respect and never lay a hand on you in anger can you do that for me and Connor, he wants the best for you too."
"I think I can manage that..."I love you Jared!"
Meggie's mind wandered, she wondered who would fit the tall order Jared had in mind for her, she would be sure to discuss it with L when they chatted later..
Turns out L couldn't chat, his mom was visiting and was taking L and Lee out for supper so he said they would chat first thing in the morning.
Meggie went to bed wondering who her night in shining armor could possibly be...she dreamed about L again that night.

Firstly I'm sorry to hear your trouble with your updates too.. I know how painful this can be... and then setting up the characters for the photos when something else goes wrong... it is frustrating so i can completely sympathize with you.
I love Lee and L's relationship… I do hope Lee hangs about... he gives some support to L in a way only a brother can. It's great to have that. I think L will need it... for some reason.
isn't it funny how even in real life we have instincts and suspicions but sometimes we are oblivious to what is actually happening, despite it happening under our noses… I feel for L… he’s kind of on the right track.
Vj's back story... boy oh boy... that hit home very closely. I agree with @Mikezumi "It's one thing to fall in love with another man but I can never understand a woman who would willingly leave her children. That really breaks my heart " - Totally agree no real mother would do that to her children... couples may fight and break up but it's the little ones that hurt the most. Her excuses and reasons were non excusable in my eyes... I would love to head butt her.. seriously! GRRR in my mind she's a lousy mother to have left two young boys... even if she was going into poverty... which with the kind of car her new lover had i doubt she would have more money... can't say on here the word i'm thinking of but she's nothing short of it... *S*t, made me quiet angry and disgusted she would do that.
It was great to get a visual on VJ's back story and for a growing boy that can be extremely difficult especially when the only female abandons them... it leaves holes in growing up into a fine gentleman.
If it's taken Vj's dad this long to get help... it's a start and i believe some kind of start is better than nothing... the fact he considered VJ is excellent but it will be a harder hit for VJ now as he's getting therapy as it's not an over night fix. It's not to say he CANT change.. of course he can we all can... we are more powerful than we know.. but... it's not a quick fix, it will be a life time working progress. Question is will Meggie be able to be patient and wait??? AND will he be able to continue....?Hmm i wonder?
I hate to say it but i have a bad feeling... a broken heart is one thing, but a broken soul is another and personally i think VJ is a broken soul. I actually do feel for him.
I LOVE YOU TOOO JARED he is the best! Becky would be so proud of him too i bet she would. I love him and how he wasted no time in letting Meggie know..
However that outburst may have sparked some hurt in VJ. I don't not like him anymore.. but i don't trust him i still feel he's unstable.

I am glad that VJ is getting help but it's gonna take more than a couple days to sort out his problems! Although he is showing wonderful restraint so far.

Jared's talk with Meggie had a very big impact on her and she meant to discuss what he said with L the next morning but decided to keep it to herself for awhile, she had a feeling she knew exactly who Jared was hinting at. She had to admit the thought gave her tummy butterflies but she decided to not entertain those thoughts and try to work on her relationship with VJ.
VJ however was a bit perturbed about Jared walking on on him and Meggie last night and ruining everything, he had been waiting for that moment with Meggie since she was 15, it wasn't fair...
He had destroyed his notebooks but had recently started his "journaling" again only on the computer, he didn't mean to start up again but couldn't help himself. Looking back he wished he had scanned the notebooks before he burnt them but he had really wanted a fresh start at that point in time, now he just wanted his Meggie back, he wanted to plan out their happy life far away from this tiny little town. It was something he would never tell that Miss Black quack of a therapist. Speaking of which he was to meet Meggie and his dad at her office in an hour.
Miss Black's assistant Miss Chestington checked them in and told them to have a seat Miss Black would be with them shortly.
They were called into Miss Black's office where she motioned to the couch. She made her introductions to Meggie since she was the newcomer of the group. Meggie liked her she seemed almost motherly to her...
It was a very good session, everyone talked freely and Meggie told Miss Black how she had lost both of her parents very young but didn't go much past that, she listened to Mr. Alvi talk about his alcoholism and how he abused VJ for years and how sorry he was. She listened to VJ talk about his anger but he never mentioned his anger directed towards Meggie.
The hour flew by quickly and Meggie wanted to speak to Miss Black about coming back for a one on one session, Miss Black agreed that would be a wonderful idea.
Meggie's felt very comfortable and even gave Miss Black a hug before going out to the assistant to make her next appointment.

Meggie was to go over to VJ's after the session...When she got there VJ was taking a nap so she decided to check her email and maybe chat with L for a bit.
'Pfft, he doesn't even password protect it!' Meggie thought as she easily went into the browser to check her email, nothing good, she looked back he was still sleeping soundly she though she would check to see if L wanted to chat, they chatted for a few minutes but he was heading over to the spa so they said their goodbyes.
Just then a file caught her attention it was titled "Meggie" she checked again to make sure VJ was asleep then with shaky fingers clicked on the file, she breathed a sigh of relief it looked like a journal of sorts.
The more she read the more her eyes bugged out of her head and her head spun...VJ was basically stalking her, he had written things from when they weren't even together!
Just then VJ stirred, he thought he hears a gasp...
He saw Meggie on his computer..what the he*ll was she doing?? He prayed she hadn't found the file!
"Sh*it!!" VJ muttered, Meggie was looking at the file...
"Like what you see?" he asked and Meggie jumped a mile she hadn't heard him wake up.
"Why the hell are you on MY computer??" VJ screamed.
"Why the He*ll are you stalking me!!" Meggie screamed back..
Meggie was sick of VJ's wide range of cr*ap and decided to once again break up with him...
"Meggie please don't...I'll never do it again, I'll delete the file, please don't break up with me, we belong together...Meggie please!!"
All VJ's pleas fell on deaf ears, Meggie knew if VJ bothered her after today Jared would beat the snot out of him and she told him so...
She walked out of his room without a goodbye, she was done with VJ for good!
VJ opened his computer and checked the history...Meggie had been chatting with someone, he hacked her password 'She never even changes it' he thought to himself as he typed meggieandL123 his eyes hating the password but at least he knew it. It looked like they hadn't talked long as all they were chatting about was the weather, someone named Lee, he thought that might be that guy who was with L at Meggie's last Birthday. He closed his laptop fuming...he cried tears of both anger and frustration..
He needed to relax, he had been taking Martial arts classes and had a training dummy in the backyard that would help calm him down and plan out how to get Meggie back this time...

Meggie needed to get away from home for a few days, she told only Jared and Connor where she would be. She told them she broke up with VJ and to not let him know where she was if he happened to come over and ask to talk to her.
She had been planning a trip to Bridgeport this weekend anyways as it was L's 30th Birthday, she was glad VJ was out of the picture so she didn't have to try to sneak out to see L.
She and Lee celebrated his Birthday that afternoon, he was born at 3:35 in the afternoon and he and Lee always celebrated right when they were born...
Lee got him a dirty book!
He had to leave, his girlfriend was being needy..
"Have a very Happy Birthday Bro!!"
Meggie presented him with one of her paintings...
They decided to make the most of the warm day and went for a walk to see the butterflies..

When they got there Meggie blurted.."I broke up with VJ.."
L tried to keep a happy dance from slipping out and asked "Why what happened?"
Meggie stared bawling..."He was keeping a diary of everything I did during the day and was basically stalking me.."
"Come here"...he pulled her into a hug "If that as*shole goes anywhere near you ever again you tell me and Lee and I will come out there and beat him to a pulp!!" Meggie snuggled closer, L felt so good compared to VJ. She calmed down and noticed their breathing matched, she smiled at that.
They chatted more about her break up, L listened calmly...
Up until she mentioned that he had slapped her across the face once...then L lost his marbles, all calmness was gone.
"Meggie you should have told me about that earlier, I could have done something about it like rip that little *&^%$#*'s head off, no one should be laying a hand on you in anger!!"
Meggie hugged him hard and clung to him for a long time, hear heart was aching with love for him, she desperately wanted to kiss him, but she knew she was like a little sister to L , she had to shut down these thoughts. L was enjoying this tremendously but also trying to remember that Meggie only thought of him as a big brother.
"We should get going back it's going to get really dark and cold soon." L said only because it was sheer torture how huggy Meggie was being. He wished she felt like he did for her...
"Just a little while longer...we didn't even watch the stars yet!" She said while grabbing L's hands and swinging them, Meggie loved watching the stars with L, they had done it since she was a little kid.
"We should go find a good spot" L announced suddenly as he had caught himself staring deeply into Meggie's eyes, she was staring right back, he was getting those feeling again..as was she unbeknownst to L...
They found a great spot and had a ball picking out their favorite constellations.
"We should head back, it is getting cold.." Meggie voiced..breaking the silence.
They changed into their jammies and slept side by side. The snuggling of last time was wonderful but too guilt inducing for L, he wanted to be honorable to his best friend especially since she had such a hard time with her je*rk of a boyfriend L would make it his duty to keep the creeps away from Meggie, she needed and deserved to find a nice guy....even if it would break his heart to see her with someone else. Little did he know Meggie was thinking L was the perfect guy Jared had talked about for her at that very moment as she laid right next to him.
@Charlottesmom I knew it was too soon for VJ to have made any progress! He hasn't even opened up to Miss Black yet!
I think it will be good for Meggie to see her for one on one sessions. I don't think she has "issues" like VJ but she could certainly do with a mother-type figure to talk to and she has been through a lot of loss in her short life.
VJ certainly slipped back into his stalky ways quickly! I do think it is progress, and a sign that he wants to get better, that he didn't scan his old notebooks but I think he needs lots more therapy and probably should keep away from relationships for a while yet. Even if he and Meggie never get back together (which is my personal hope), I hope that, at the very least, he gets real closure with his past and forges a good relationship with his dad.
It was great that she went to Bridgeport for L's birthday and that L knows the whole truth now Age that girl up quick so that she and L can get together without L feeling bad about it!
I actually agree with MikeZumi i think Meggie getting some one on one sessions with Miss Black will be good for her, she has has a lot happen to her, talking to friends is one thing, but talking to an outsider is another.
Its is good to see VJ doing something physical to get his frustrations out, but down side is he could be doing that out of vengeance too. This is a big worry he clearly is emotionally and mental disturbed. I just hope someone helps him before he does something to ruin his own life or someone else. As much as i can't stand him my heart breaks for him too.
He is defiantly a broken soul - those kinds in my years of experience can flip one way or another...
It is good Meggie spoke out but i really think there is a hidden agenda here and she may not just have seen the end of VJ. I can see he might be young still, but youths have killed adults before.
I'm curious to see what events unfold next
My heart went all abuzz Meggie and L but somehow i don't see it happening just yet, if at all? He's defiantly more a brother to her and right now and i highly respect his restraint! Hurting oneself's needs or desires to help someone else is a power most don't posses. I Love L his eyes... those butterfly eyes.... ahh makes a woman's heart tingle.

As for VJ he's a worry non the less.... for some reason i DO NOT trust him.... i got bad feelings about this crazy chap.
I thought i recall Meggie's father (Light) had some issues of jealousy... funny how Meggie is almost living a similar life to her mother.... I just hope she doesn't fall into his trap of disguise or professional victim attitude..... He does creep me out a little as a character, lol even as a sim through reading your story he was one i always shuddered when i seen him, just something non appealing about VJ.
Either way loving your story and cannot wait for the next chapter and events..... oooohhh *rubs hands together in excitement*

Meggie really should NOT have kept the fact that VJ hit her to herself. The advice given to her would be totally different it everyone knew about it.
The fact that VJ burned his notebooks is a good sign but, I have to agree with everyone else I'm afraid that the "new VJ" will be sort lived and he will return to his controlling ways.

It was the morning of the Silent period, Meggie was looking forward to three days of some deep soul searching, and the quiet would do wonders for her and VJ she suspected.
She did sneak in one call to L right before everything was to go quiet...L was at the spa working on some paint choices for the lobby when she called.
"Gonna miss me for the three days?" she asked teasingly
"Yes of course I am, we haven't gone more than 24 hours of not talking or seeing each other ever since I met you seven years ago..."
"I'm so glad I met you L, I was really sad that day and you cheered me right up, I never forgot that.."
"I remember, it was right after your dad died, your mom just kept smiling at us when we were playing on the swings."
"I miss my mom, and dad..."
"I'm your family now, Lee would love to be your big brother, he really likes you. You also have Edward, and Connor and Jared are practically your fathers! We all love you Meggie, don't forget that.."
"I won't...L...I love you..." she whispered
"I love you too Meggie...I wish I could see you right now.."
"No you don't I'm in my undies..." she giggled..
'Oh good God'...he thought picturing her in her little white undies.....then mentally smacked himself for letting his per*vy male mind go there..
They agreed to talk Monday night after she saw VJ. Meggie hung up and sighed...
L got an instant migrane...'she's going to kill me' he thought to himself...
He sighed heavily and instantly texted Lee...
'Help!! Meet me at the diner'...he texted.

"Why the he*ck are you always so happy Lee?" L was somewhat jealous of his brother, he was such an upbeat guy, he barely ever saw him in any sort of bad mood.
"Clean living dude!" Lee replied..
"You used the emergency text so what's up, lady problems?" Lee snickered, he knew what was bugging his brother, it was always the same.
"Lee, I can't stop thinking about her, and she's going out with VJ, that kid popped a screw when his mother left them..not that I can blame him"
"Is he really messed up, do you think he would hurt her?" Lee look concerned.
"I'm not sure, she mentioned him hurting her before but I doubt he would ever get physical with her, and if he ever did I'd rip his head off!"
"She would tell you if he was hurting her so I'm sure she's fine...but add me to the ripping his head off list if he ever hurt her! Hey L this wouldn't have anything to do with her not talking to you for three days?"
"I shouldn't have told you about that, now you won't have any fun guessing why I'm depressed for the next three days.." L laughed.
"I'll be here for you..." Lee said seriously.
"You're the best little brother ever!" L said as he hugged his brother
"Yeah, I know!" Lee hugged him back

I do wish Meggie would have told them and it's true that people don't always see what's happening right under their noses (although, to be fair, L is at a distance) and are often surprised when they finally learn that there was physical violence.

This is either going to be tremendously long or broken into two parts...my laptop was against this part of the story from the get go and konked out 4 times over the course of the two days I needed for setting up and playing. It was going to be a very different chapter, but I decided to do VJ's backstory instead of what I originally had in mind, I like it much better.
Iqbal Alvi was the most eligible bachelor in town, he had no shortage of lady friends but the only lady who truly caught his eye was Marianna, she was young, cute and kind, he adored her from the get go..they got married a mere 3 month after their first meeting.
They moved into a cute little starter home that was affordable...Iqbal carried his beloved over the threshold...
They got to honeymooning right away..
9 months later little Vincent Joseph Alvi was born, named after Iqbal's grandfather..he was dubbed VJ for short.
They were very happy...
They both got jobs as teachers at the school, Iqbal was an English teacher and Marianna was the music teacher. VJ was happy to have both his parents working at his school, he loved seeing his mom and dad in the hallways. They all walked home together after school.
A surprise in the form of a second son showed up a few years later, they named him Miraj.
VJ adored his baby brother, he couldn't wait till he was old enough to play with.
Since Miraj's birth Marianna and Iqbal had started bickering about money, Iqbal was a saver, Marianna was a spender. After a heated exchange Marianna took Maraj and went for a walk.
They were sitting behind the school, Marianna was deep in thought.
A handsome stranger walked over and introduced himself as Devon Green.
Through their conversation Marianna found out he was to be her assistant music teacher, specializing in piano. Marianna loved piano, she had her grandmother's piano and told Devon he was welcome to come over and play it whenever he liked.
They talked until Miraj needed to be fed and was getting grumpy Marianna excused herself and headed home.
Devon took Marianna up on her offer frequently though out the next few years, he and Marianna were very good friends by that time, they were spending a lot of free time together.
Marianna put on a good show in front of VJ and Iqbal but something was brewing..
"Can I talk to you in the kitchen Marianna?"
"I've been laid off from my teaching job, they decided to combing the 9th and 10 grade English classes so they don't need me anymore, I'm going to get 6 months pay and am thinking about staying home and writing a book.."
"How will we make ends meet after the 6 months Iqbal?"
"I'll be done with the book by then and will get a job somewhere in town, don't worry, it will all work out."

"My dad's gonna write a book!" VJ bragged to Meggie...
'Cool! Can I have a copy when he's done?"
"Sure, I'll make sure he autographs it for you, it will be worth tons of money!"
"You're my best friend VJ..."

5 years later...
"Iqbal, it's been 5 years, I've been carrying this family financially...get a job!!"
"But my book is almost done!"
"I'm so sick of your excuses, you never finish that book, 2 years ago you said you were almost done, I want a divorce!"
"Let's not get crazy Marianna, I will be done soon, I promise..."
"I'm sick to death of your empty promises, I'm going to leave you!"
"VJ, they're fighting again...Miraj whispered to VJ, he was getting very upset with all the yelling going on lately.
"Come her little buddy..." VJ embraced his little brother. "I'll take care of you..."
Iqbal rushed upstairs trying to get the finishing touches on the last 5 chapters of his book...he was determined to save his marriage.
Little did he know it was already ruined...
"Did you tell him?" Devon asked.
"Yes, I told him, I don't think he believed me though.."
"He'll believe you tomorrow when you're not there! Are you sure you're okay leaving the kids with him?"
"One thing Iqbal is great at is being a father, the kids adore him, VJ just got on the honor roll for the 15th time in a row because of Iqbal helping him with homework."
"Come here...." Devon pulled Marianna into a kiss. "I can't wait until you're officially mine!" he murmured.

"What are you doing?" Marianna asked Iqbal when she got home hours later..
"I'm finishing my book" Iqbal replied not looking back.
"It's too late Iqbal, I'm leaving in an hour!"
"No you're not, you're MY wife and you will stay by my side!" Iqbal was getting wound up..
"I refuse! You can have the kids though, you are a great father, I'll give you that.."
"You're abandoning your kids?"
"I'm not abandoning them I'm leaving them with their loving father.." she yelled.
"Fine leave but when they grow to hate you it's all on YOU!!" Iqbal screamed at her.

"VJ...." Miraj sniffed trying to hold back the tears...
"I know little buddy..." VJ said quietly, his heart was breaking too...
"Come here, I'll make it better.." He gathered his little brother in a nice warm hug.
"Don't let her leave.." Miraj sniffled..
VJ ran down the stairs when he heard the door slam...He made the mistake of looking out the front window..he felt sick to his stomach!
He ran outside and started screaming at his mother..
"Why mom, WHY? Dad has always been nothing but nice to you!"
"VJ, calm down, I know what I'm doing.."
"Yeah, cheating on dad and abandoning us! We both heard you and dad fighting..."
"VJ, I haven't been in love with your dad for awhile, it just fell apart, I'm in love with Devon, and we want a fresh start..."
"You mean you want to live without me and Miraj!!"
"I will come back to see you every summer vacation, I love you boys but your dad was always the better parent.."
"This royally su*cks mom..."
"I know VJ and I'm really sorry...but you can't help who you fall in love with...remember that."
He watched helplessly as his mother and her "boyfriend" climbed it his clunky broken down car and drove out of his life forever..his heart was slowly turning to stone, he could actually feel the clenching in his chest.
Everyone had a very long cry that night..
Sorrow filled the house...

Everyone was "dealing" with the divorce in their own ways, Miraj was very quiet, Iqbal had started drinking... ..and VJ sunk into his studies, he was already the golden child, strait A's for years on end, college looks very possible, he was popular and kind to all.
There was booze everywhere!
"Dad please stop drinking!" VJ begged after his dad has started drinking in the middle of the day and well into the night..
Iqbal stumbled into the living room..VJ followed.
"Leave me alone you stooped little sh*it!!" Iqbal slurred.
VJ was stunned, his father had never called him names before, he was the kindest man on the planet..
"Dad please, you need to stop drinking, it's not helping anything, it won't make mom come back!" VJ yelled at his dad, feeling anger well up, he had already lost his mother and his father was on a downward spiral, he couldn't bear it.
"You shut your da*mn mouth!!" Iqbal yelled..
He then hauled out and slapped VJ with all his might, VJ felt his cheek sting and his teeth rattle..
That was the day the sweet kind VJ died, he was angry, his dad was a drunk and his little brother was a mute, never wanting to even try to talk to VJ. VJ was alone except for his three best friends none of whom knew how bad things were at home, they had their own problems, they didn't want to hear how VJ's world was falling apart around him...he was 13 and all alone in the world.
He decided to change his looks and attitude to match how he was feeling inside...MAD!

Such a pity that so much love can just up and leave when money is concerned. Of course, it's totally understandable when the pressures of raising children is thrown into the mix. Having a dream is one thing, but being a dreamer is another altogether. Iqbal really should have found himself a job before now.

What I was trying to say in my feedback on the other thread.
The three days of silence were finally FINALLY over, first thing Meggie did was call L...
They both expressed how happy they were to hear the other's voice..L sounded absolutely giddy.
Meggie told him she would chat with him on the computer later that night. They said their goodbyes..
Next she called VJ...she was actually nervous to talk to him.
VJ however sounded very excited to talk to Meggie, he said he had something very important to tell her and could he come over so they could talk..she said that would be fine.
He arrived 15 minutes later..
"God I missed you Meggie!" he reached for her and pulled her close..
Meggie was a bit taken aback as VJ was so gentle his hugs usually bordered on squishing. He then asked if they could talk.
VJ announced "I've started going to therapy Meggie, My dad started going a few weeks ago and asked if I would like to join him, I went yesterday, it was not where I wanted to be at first and didn't say anything." Miss Black, the therapist started talking to my dad and she asked if he wanted to say anything to me and...he actually apologized to me!"
"I couldn't believe it Meggie the man actually turned to me, looked me in the eyes and said he was sorry for how he had been treating me for the past 3 years!" VJ smiled and continued..."I forgave him immediately, it was freeing, it felt so good to get rid of all that hate, we stood up and hugged each other and cried for what had to be 5 minutes. Then when we got home we hugged for another 5 minutes...I missed hugging my dad Meggie, he hadn't hugged me for years!"
Meggie was just staring at VJ, he seemed so different, he seemed happy, but she knew better than to let down her guard too quickly with him. Meggie all of a sudden had a brainstorm..."Can I go to therapy with you and your dad?" VJ considered this, and said "Yes, I think that would be a great idea.."
Meggie leaned in and kissed him...it was sweet and gentle, she was going to have to get used to this new VJ, she hoped it would last.
They walked over to couch hand in hand..they sat and enjoyed the warmth from the fire, they occasionally chatted about his therapy session, he was very positive about it. Then all of a sudden he started talking, confessing really..."Meggie I'm so sorry for hurting you and treating you so poorly these past months, I was really angry with everyone and everything. My mother really messed our family up when she left, then my dad started drinking and took every hurt he was feeling out on me, he beat me for years, I never wanted to do that to another person, especially one I care for so deeply..."
He looked deeply into her eyes and continued, "I was so mad at you when I hit you, I was so jealous of L I couldn't see strait, I wanted the attention from you that you were always giving to him, it almost felt like he was your boyfriend..."
"VJ you have nothing to be jealous of I love L but I love him like a big brother, you are my boyfriend..." VJ was hoping to hear a little bit more added to that sentence but it never came..he decided to take whatever Meggie would offer him and be happy.
"Want to go upstairs, there is a good horror movie on tonight." Meggie said happily..
"We can go upstairs but I'm not a fan of horror movies, so if we could watch something else that would be good."
'How can anyone not like a good horror flick' Meggie thought to herself..as she and VJ went upstairs.
Vj was hoping the pictures had vanished, but there they were...Meggie was so attached to 'HIM'.....VJ felt himself tensing up and purposefully concentrated on his breathing as Miss Black had instructed when he started feeling tense.
Meggie let out a huge yawn she was a bit tired and asked if VJ wanted to watch the movie from the bed (knowing full well that was the only way to watch TV in her room)...
VJ leaned in for another kiss before they walked over to the bed.
They both sat on the bed...then laid down so they could see the movie better.
Meggie changed it to a romance film, VJ grinned and nodded a sign of approval. Meggie giggled under her breath she never knew VJ was into chick flicks!
They were both enjoying the movie..
VJ leaned in when the scene on the TV got all hot and se*xie...
He looked he in the eyes and whispered in a tiny little whisper.."Meggie I want you..." Meggie felt herself edge towards VJ, she wanted this too...
"Are you sure..." VJ questioned letting her have an out..."I'm positive..." Meggie answered a bit too quickly.
Things were getting hot and heavy then Meggie heard someone clear their throat...
You never saw a couple separate faster! Meggie was beyond embarrassed...VJ was just scared, very scared. He knew how protective Jared was of Meggie.
"What the he*ll were you doing to Meggie?" Jared used his best scare the little punk voice..
"Ummm, nothing, we weren't going to do anything we were just kissing.." VJ meekly voiced, the kid was scared!
"I suggest you get the He*ll out of here VJ, Meggie is too young for your groping!"
VJ smartly slunk out the door...
"I'm disappointed in you Meggie, he doesn't treat you well enough for such behavior"
"He's changed Jared, he goes to therapy now, he's trying..."
"Meggie, you don't have to tell me but has VJ....ever hit you?"
Meggie was stung by Jared's question...how did he know??
Meggie sighed.."He hit me once..but it was awhile ago and he never did it again, I deserved it, I was talking to L too much and it bothered VJ, he told me I couldn't talk to L anymore and it got me mad so I started yelling at him and he slapped me...."
"I had a feeling...Meggie you don't deserve that treatment from anyone you hear me, nobody should be hitting you in any shape or form!"
"You should look for someone who loves you just as you are, who can accept your quirks and silliness, and realize what a special girl you are, someone who will treat you with respect and never lay a hand on you in anger can you do that for me and Connor, he wants the best for you too."
"I think I can manage that..."I love you Jared!"
Meggie's mind wandered, she wondered who would fit the tall order Jared had in mind for her, she would be sure to discuss it with L when they chatted later..
Turns out L couldn't chat, his mom was visiting and was taking L and Lee out for supper so he said they would chat first thing in the morning.
Meggie went to bed wondering who her night in shining armor could possibly be...she dreamed about L again that night.

Firstly I'm sorry to hear your trouble with your updates too.. I know how painful this can be... and then setting up the characters for the photos when something else goes wrong... it is frustrating so i can completely sympathize with you.
I love Lee and L's relationship… I do hope Lee hangs about... he gives some support to L in a way only a brother can. It's great to have that. I think L will need it... for some reason.
isn't it funny how even in real life we have instincts and suspicions but sometimes we are oblivious to what is actually happening, despite it happening under our noses… I feel for L… he’s kind of on the right track.

It was great to get a visual on VJ's back story and for a growing boy that can be extremely difficult especially when the only female abandons them... it leaves holes in growing up into a fine gentleman.
If it's taken Vj's dad this long to get help... it's a start and i believe some kind of start is better than nothing... the fact he considered VJ is excellent but it will be a harder hit for VJ now as he's getting therapy as it's not an over night fix. It's not to say he CANT change.. of course he can we all can... we are more powerful than we know.. but... it's not a quick fix, it will be a life time working progress. Question is will Meggie be able to be patient and wait??? AND will he be able to continue....?Hmm i wonder?
I hate to say it but i have a bad feeling... a broken heart is one thing, but a broken soul is another and personally i think VJ is a broken soul. I actually do feel for him.
I LOVE YOU TOOO JARED he is the best! Becky would be so proud of him too i bet she would. I love him and how he wasted no time in letting Meggie know..
However that outburst may have sparked some hurt in VJ. I don't not like him anymore.. but i don't trust him i still feel he's unstable.

Jared's talk with Meggie had a very big impact on her and she meant to discuss what he said with L the next morning but decided to keep it to herself for awhile, she had a feeling she knew exactly who Jared was hinting at. She had to admit the thought gave her tummy butterflies but she decided to not entertain those thoughts and try to work on her relationship with VJ.
VJ however was a bit perturbed about Jared walking on on him and Meggie last night and ruining everything, he had been waiting for that moment with Meggie since she was 15, it wasn't fair...
He had destroyed his notebooks but had recently started his "journaling" again only on the computer, he didn't mean to start up again but couldn't help himself. Looking back he wished he had scanned the notebooks before he burnt them but he had really wanted a fresh start at that point in time, now he just wanted his Meggie back, he wanted to plan out their happy life far away from this tiny little town. It was something he would never tell that Miss Black quack of a therapist. Speaking of which he was to meet Meggie and his dad at her office in an hour.
Miss Black's assistant Miss Chestington checked them in and told them to have a seat Miss Black would be with them shortly.
They were called into Miss Black's office where she motioned to the couch. She made her introductions to Meggie since she was the newcomer of the group. Meggie liked her she seemed almost motherly to her...
It was a very good session, everyone talked freely and Meggie told Miss Black how she had lost both of her parents very young but didn't go much past that, she listened to Mr. Alvi talk about his alcoholism and how he abused VJ for years and how sorry he was. She listened to VJ talk about his anger but he never mentioned his anger directed towards Meggie.
The hour flew by quickly and Meggie wanted to speak to Miss Black about coming back for a one on one session, Miss Black agreed that would be a wonderful idea.
Meggie's felt very comfortable and even gave Miss Black a hug before going out to the assistant to make her next appointment.

Meggie was to go over to VJ's after the session...When she got there VJ was taking a nap so she decided to check her email and maybe chat with L for a bit.
'Pfft, he doesn't even password protect it!' Meggie thought as she easily went into the browser to check her email, nothing good, she looked back he was still sleeping soundly she though she would check to see if L wanted to chat, they chatted for a few minutes but he was heading over to the spa so they said their goodbyes.
Just then a file caught her attention it was titled "Meggie" she checked again to make sure VJ was asleep then with shaky fingers clicked on the file, she breathed a sigh of relief it looked like a journal of sorts.
The more she read the more her eyes bugged out of her head and her head spun...VJ was basically stalking her, he had written things from when they weren't even together!
Just then VJ stirred, he thought he hears a gasp...
He saw Meggie on his computer..what the he*ll was she doing?? He prayed she hadn't found the file!
"Sh*it!!" VJ muttered, Meggie was looking at the file...
"Like what you see?" he asked and Meggie jumped a mile she hadn't heard him wake up.
"Why the hell are you on MY computer??" VJ screamed.
"Why the He*ll are you stalking me!!" Meggie screamed back..
Meggie was sick of VJ's wide range of cr*ap and decided to once again break up with him...
"Meggie please don't...I'll never do it again, I'll delete the file, please don't break up with me, we belong together...Meggie please!!"
All VJ's pleas fell on deaf ears, Meggie knew if VJ bothered her after today Jared would beat the snot out of him and she told him so...
She walked out of his room without a goodbye, she was done with VJ for good!
VJ opened his computer and checked the history...Meggie had been chatting with someone, he hacked her password 'She never even changes it' he thought to himself as he typed meggieandL123 his eyes hating the password but at least he knew it. It looked like they hadn't talked long as all they were chatting about was the weather, someone named Lee, he thought that might be that guy who was with L at Meggie's last Birthday. He closed his laptop fuming...he cried tears of both anger and frustration..
He needed to relax, he had been taking Martial arts classes and had a training dummy in the backyard that would help calm him down and plan out how to get Meggie back this time...

Meggie needed to get away from home for a few days, she told only Jared and Connor where she would be. She told them she broke up with VJ and to not let him know where she was if he happened to come over and ask to talk to her.
She had been planning a trip to Bridgeport this weekend anyways as it was L's 30th Birthday, she was glad VJ was out of the picture so she didn't have to try to sneak out to see L.
She and Lee celebrated his Birthday that afternoon, he was born at 3:35 in the afternoon and he and Lee always celebrated right when they were born...
Lee got him a dirty book!
He had to leave, his girlfriend was being needy..
"Have a very Happy Birthday Bro!!"
Meggie presented him with one of her paintings...
They decided to make the most of the warm day and went for a walk to see the butterflies..

When they got there Meggie blurted.."I broke up with VJ.."
L tried to keep a happy dance from slipping out and asked "Why what happened?"
Meggie stared bawling..."He was keeping a diary of everything I did during the day and was basically stalking me.."
"Come here"...he pulled her into a hug "If that as*shole goes anywhere near you ever again you tell me and Lee and I will come out there and beat him to a pulp!!" Meggie snuggled closer, L felt so good compared to VJ. She calmed down and noticed their breathing matched, she smiled at that.
They chatted more about her break up, L listened calmly...
Up until she mentioned that he had slapped her across the face once...then L lost his marbles, all calmness was gone.
"Meggie you should have told me about that earlier, I could have done something about it like rip that little *&^%$#*'s head off, no one should be laying a hand on you in anger!!"
Meggie hugged him hard and clung to him for a long time, hear heart was aching with love for him, she desperately wanted to kiss him, but she knew she was like a little sister to L , she had to shut down these thoughts. L was enjoying this tremendously but also trying to remember that Meggie only thought of him as a big brother.
"We should get going back it's going to get really dark and cold soon." L said only because it was sheer torture how huggy Meggie was being. He wished she felt like he did for her...
"Just a little while longer...we didn't even watch the stars yet!" She said while grabbing L's hands and swinging them, Meggie loved watching the stars with L, they had done it since she was a little kid.
"We should go find a good spot" L announced suddenly as he had caught himself staring deeply into Meggie's eyes, she was staring right back, he was getting those feeling again..as was she unbeknownst to L...
They found a great spot and had a ball picking out their favorite constellations.
"We should head back, it is getting cold.." Meggie voiced..breaking the silence.
They changed into their jammies and slept side by side. The snuggling of last time was wonderful but too guilt inducing for L, he wanted to be honorable to his best friend especially since she had such a hard time with her je*rk of a boyfriend L would make it his duty to keep the creeps away from Meggie, she needed and deserved to find a nice guy....even if it would break his heart to see her with someone else. Little did he know Meggie was thinking L was the perfect guy Jared had talked about for her at that very moment as she laid right next to him.

I think it will be good for Meggie to see her for one on one sessions. I don't think she has "issues" like VJ but she could certainly do with a mother-type figure to talk to and she has been through a lot of loss in her short life.
VJ certainly slipped back into his stalky ways quickly! I do think it is progress, and a sign that he wants to get better, that he didn't scan his old notebooks but I think he needs lots more therapy and probably should keep away from relationships for a while yet. Even if he and Meggie never get back together (which is my personal hope), I hope that, at the very least, he gets real closure with his past and forges a good relationship with his dad.
It was great that she went to Bridgeport for L's birthday and that L knows the whole truth now

Its is good to see VJ doing something physical to get his frustrations out, but down side is he could be doing that out of vengeance too. This is a big worry he clearly is emotionally and mental disturbed. I just hope someone helps him before he does something to ruin his own life or someone else.
He is defiantly a broken soul - those kinds in my years of experience can flip one way or another...
It is good Meggie spoke out but i really think there is a hidden agenda here and she may not just have seen the end of VJ. I can see he might be young still, but youths have killed adults before.
I'm curious to see what events unfold next
My heart went all abuzz Meggie and L but somehow i don't see it happening just yet, if at all? He's defiantly more a brother to her and right now and i highly respect his restraint! Hurting oneself's needs or desires to help someone else is a power most don't posses. I Love L
