Maternal/ infant stuff pack

«1
So I really want a maternal stuff pack! I think it could include more cribs, maternal outfits, and maybe something similar to a Mommy and me class. I think there should be a place where the parents can a bring a toddler/ infant to teach them skills.
Maybe you could also add infant clothing options. Just an idea that popped into my head.

Infants are neglected. Also one family pack is hardly anything. I wouldn't call toddler stuff family play. We've gotten nothing. We all want more vacations. We want farms and cruises and casinos. Not all of us want all of them but I want my sims to gamble and vacay and he knew high in dirt. One stuff pack for babies and moms won't take away from that, because those ideas won't fit in a SP anyway.

No! We've gotten enough family play this year!

We NEED more vacation places and more venues for YA's and Adult sims to go have fun. We NEED more development in the way YA sims and Adult sims act.

    Where's my casino?
    Where's my beach?
    Where's my cruise holiday?
    Where's my farm?
    Where's my superstar?
    Where's my witch?

Enough with the babies and mamas and papas.

This last year was a year packed with family things. Kid's Room. Toddlers. Parenthood. Toddler Stuff. And those are just things DIRECTLY family related.

Family players did start at a disadvantage, but I'd say they've caught up somewhat by now. But they still want more things. And these things they're asking for are actually rather small things that don't add much.

People talk about University all the time and don't seem to realise that it was just a World in Sims 3 that you could import your Sim into for a while that had different things to do. Sure, it was fun, but it's really being hyped up, and it wouldn't work that way in Sims 4.

They also talk about Generations, not realising that Toddlers/Parenthood is Sims 4's version of Generations.
Prepping a list of mods to add after Infants are placed into the game. Because real life isn't 'nice'.

Where's my werewolves? My vampires need pets friends.

    Infants are neglected.
That would be because they are boring, and new outfits won't fix that. Age 'em up to toddlers, then they're a bit more fun.

I agree with the OP and personally think it's a great idea but I also want some of the other things mentioned above...I don't see why we can't have both as time comes. I'd love if infants could do more like crawl around and be put in those baby swings and have some maternity wear with nursery items. I would love it.

Some people are so rude. Yes, 3 out of the 21 packs we've received are aimed at family play, does that mean family players aren't allowed to want anything else for the rest of the series? No, it does not. The OP wasn't saying they needed this right now, they were saying it's something they would like to see in the game at some point down the line.

See I'm not just a family simmer. Before my sims have a family they usually go on A LOT of adventures. I'm talking camping, becoming a vampire, throwing epic parties. You may not like families or adventures but I think we should all respect how each other play.

I don't see a stuff pack themed around babies selling very well....because there's not much to do with them in game....and the other part of it sounds like the Parenthood pack. I wouldn't expect any parenting themed pack this next year after what has come out this year.

Yeah I think they should expand on babies to make them more interesting. They're kind of just. Crying furniture.

@friendlysimmers I think the stroller thing is a great idea. Also holding the baby around the house may be a small feature they add for free, since it doesn't feel right to include that in a pack. I think a Mommy and me class is still an awesome idea that they should give a try. I would love to see a class filled with toddlers playing and infants learning how to crawl.

@friendlysimmers that would be a little to similar to the parenting skill in parenthood.

Generations and parenthood and toddlers are completely different though

Generations was for for all ages.

Parenthood and toddlers are simply for
    Toddlers
    Kids
    Teens

The sims 3 generations and seasons are a good example for generational gameplay.
Parenting is only one element from a generational pack.
Stuff packs don't really count if you ask me.

@marcel21 exactly! I think this pack would be a great addition to the game.

Am surprised that maternity wear is not a default once the baby bump stage is reached. It is in Sims2, and makes much more sense than the current TS4 arrangement. Second the motion on Sims2 style babies, much more interesting than the current ones. Not to toot the Sims2 horn again, but it has a book to study so expectant parents can learn some basics before the kid arrives. Have found that one to be very useful.

Id like little baby play mats and cushy chairs so they don't have to stay in their crib they can still be objects just move them somewhere else.
