The Booker Family

Something I have only recently noticed, at a particular lot in Nearest, as soon as I place a community building there (such as a cafe) all of a sudden it seems The Booker Family own it? I am hoping it will not effect that lot, and does not seem to matter if I click on "sell lot", they go back to owning the property!
Is anyone else dealing with this?

Is the Booker Family a Household that you play? Does the lot have the build type residential or another lot type? When you place the community venue on the lot, does the lot type change to the new lot type?

They are an npc family so I have zero control over them. The build lot type is under cafe.
And yes it changes when the building is placed and I have it set to cafe.

If you place a community venue such as a gym or a library on it, does it still say that they own it?

Yes. I have changed it twice now and no matter what, they still own it.

Repairing the game may help. To do that, right click on the sims 4 picture in Origin and click repair.

Try resetting your sims 4 folder and see if that helps. To do that, move your sims 4 folder ( that is in Documents -Electronic Arts - then the sims 4 folder is there ) to the desktop. Then start the game, and a new sims 4 folder will be generated. Exit the game and then copy back the "options.ini" or " options " file and the "saves" , "screenshots" "tray" "custom music " and "mods" folders from the desktop sims 4 folder to the new sims 4 folder, replacing the new generated file/ folders with the old file/folders from the desktop sims 4 folder.
