Sim not going to work/school when joining a worker <resolved>

I'm having a problem joining one sim at work (she works at the hospital) and having the others go to their own jobs or going to school.

They are all supposed to leave at 8am. I select join and as soon as the one sim gets to her workplace the other's sims boxes are flashing red, and the teen/child says they're late for school with the option to accept a call from the principle while the adult sim is late for work (a non joinable job) and his boss is calling. Swapping to control them (only tried that once) causes the entire game to freeze and I can't get anywhere either.

I have no custom content. I've emptied out their inventories (thought maybe it was a weird bug with a school project or something), they weren't carrying sack lunches.

I am sorry that you are having this issue.

Repairing the game may help. To do that, right click on the sims 4 picture in Origin and click repair.

Try resetting your sims 4 folder and see if that helps. To do that, move your sims 4 folder ( that is in Documents -Electronic Arts - then the sims 4 folder is there ) to the desktop. Then start the game, and a new sims 4 folder will be generated. Exit the game and then copy back the "options.ini" or " options " file and the "saves" , "screenshots" "tray" "custom music " and "mods" folders from the desktop sims 4 folder to the new sims 4 folder, replacing the new generated file/ folders with the old file/folders from the desktop sims 4 folder.
