Genetics Completely Change in Dark Form

One of my Sim's vampire children just aged up into a teen, so I took him into CAS to fix him up. I switched to his dark form, and his face completely changed. He wasn't even the same Sim anymore, more like a long-lost brother.

Regular form.

I had mods (just MCCC) and CC in at the time, so I exited out and took out my folder. He was still like that when I reloaded the game, but could this really be caused by a mod? Has this ever happened to anyone before? It's not a huge deal because I was on the fence about whether to keep him as a vampire anyway, so this just cemented the decision to cure him.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to test this on his sisters because I cured them before going into CAS. Both his parents are vampires, if that makes any difference.

I have toddlers with different looking dark forms that I can't edit because toddlers aren't suppose to have a dark form. But for your sim, in CAS you can copy his regular appearance over to his dark form so he will look the same.

its normal, their dark forms never really look like them unless youve copied them over. one of my super pale vampires who normally has black hair was purple and had blonde hair in his dark form

The dark form can look different than the normal form. You can change his dark form appearance in cas if you would prefer.

I understand hair color, even eye color changing, but for his eye shape, nose, and mouth to completely change? I thought that was strange. I guess if it happens again then I'll just do as @LiaRose1435 said and copy the light form. Thanks.
