With the laptop it has a very small ssd for booting windows quicker. You can not game on it.You would have to install the game on the second hard drive and move your documents folder to your second hard drive

I’ve seen a few gaming desktops around £400-£570 with pretty much same specs as the ones you’ve linked. Only problem with desktops I don’t have much room but if they are going be better for running sims 3 and other games in general I’ll try and go for one them. Also would I be able to transfer my game saves from my old computer to new one using a usb stick?
You need to be careful when buying a desktop. You should have a good power supply at least 500 watt. Also the case should have room for upgrades or able to switch out hardware. It should also have good cooling too. Not all desktops can be upgraded. If the desktop has a small case you may have bad cooling. Can you link the desktops your looking at?
Yes you can transfer by copping your sims 3 folder in documents to a usb flash drive . You install the sims 3 from scratch on a new computer. Start the game and exit. This will create a new sims 3 folder in documents. you can then switch out the new sims 3 folder for your old sims 3 folder you saved on flash drive

and this comes with windows 10 installed again has an older processor and does not list power supply https://www.amazon.co.uk/Fierce-Gaming-PC-Desktop-Computer/dp/B0725WN733/ref=sr_1_16?ie=UTF8&qid=1506079433&sr=8-16&keywords=fierce+pc
Here are a few I’ve seen im quite tight on budget so can’t pay to much for one at the moment.

All these say they are gaming pc so they will probably be able to run sims 3 alright I hope
You have a low budget and your not going to get great hardware. Something in the computer may be lacking or have old hardware
The one you posted seems quite good for the price will this be able to run most games? Is this also upgradable I might have to go with this one if it’s able to run other games.
I found the same computer for 484 pounds so that will save you.https://www.amazon.co.uk/Fierce-Gaming-PC-Desktop-Computer/dp/B071LMTYMR/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1506080206&sr=8-4&keywords=fierce+pc+rx+460+fx6300
You would have to ask fierce about upgrades. They give you a 3 year warranty. You may not be able to upgrade while under warranty. The RX 460 is a good video card but it only has two gb vram. That is enough for the sims but you may have some issues running a game like GTA V . You really need a 4gb vram card for that game. The processor is also older and fine for the sims 3. Most heavier games require an AMD FX 8000 series, intel i5 or i7 but again your looking at more money for a better video card and processor
What other games on you playing?
I was also hoping to run GTA V as well as sims 3 as well and wasn’t really sure if this pc would run it very well. With you saying that it requires 4GB ram card to run it.
GTA V requires a 4gb vram card. It uses a little under 4gb. It also requires a higher card and processor especially if your planning on modding GTA V. I have a GTX 960 4gb card with an i5 intel processor. It will run gta on ultra as long as I don't mod the game. I will also get really low fps drops if near an explosion. If you intend on playing GTA on PC rather than console I would save up for a better PC.
Would something like this run both sims 3 & GTA V? It has a intel i5 processor 3.4GHz x4, GTX 1050Ti 4GB. I wanna make sure I get the right pc before I decide on making a purchase.
I forgot to put the link on.

That is really cheap for the hardware they are giving you . I would worry about power supply and warranty. It will run GTA but you may have to lower your settings if you mod the game. if it has a low power supply you my have more trouble. That pc only has slightly better specs than I have. Also my hardware is certified custom not generic. This seller is giving you generic hardware. Certified custom hardware costs more
I also found this one, I’m quite limited to space so I can’t buy anything to big. I’ve looked at the specs and they seem pretty much the same as the ones you have listed.
Gaming PC HP 8300 Elite Quad Core i5-3470, 16GB RAM, 1TB HDD, GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB, WiFi, Windows 10 64Bit Desktop PC Computer With Antivirus https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B071NHBRW9/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_xqtXzb1D3W8MH
That case is horrible. Has bad cooling and HP's are very hard to upgrade. I would never recommend HP for gaming. I also would not recommend refurbished unless they are giving you a good warranty
You need a good case with good cooling and room for upgrades or switching out hardware. The case is just as important as the hardware inside.

My current pc is a HP at the moment which used to run sims 3 smoothly but now I get quite a bit of lag. I only picked out that one cause it wouldn’t take up to much room, and I don’t really have to much space to store one.
No offence but you need good cooling while gaming. Buying a desktop that has no cooling or room for upgrades would not be wise and a waste of money. If you don't have the room than I suggest saving up for a laptop that meets requirements. They are more expensive than a desktop. You pay for being mobile and portable. You would also need a better laptop than the one I posted for the sims 3 if your going to play GTA. Laptop hardware is weaker than desktop hardware and all PC games require desktop
