Andrew's Pose Player - Can't get objects to work with poses?

I'm making a picture story with my Sims so I downloaded a pregnancy test pose pack as I needed to create that "scene" for the storyline. I did the pose in game and it worked fine, except for the fact that there was no sign of the pregnancy test (I downloaded the exact one that the pose creator said to use). I had to use Alt+9 to put the test in her hands and take the screenshot, which was annoying because whenever I moved the test to make it look more accurate my Sim would "reset" and I'd have to teleport her there and set up the pose again.

This is happening with all poses that require a build/buy object.
