My Sim Is Supposed To Write a Review …

I have a Sim in the Critic Career. He chose to work from home and one of the two things he must do is review a music performance in the Art Center. I send him there. he catches a violinist. I keep him there until the circle is full on his queue and disappears. Then I send him home to 'review' what he saw. The only thing that comes up is 'write a column'. So, I have him do that, but it doesn't tick off his list. I took a look at the Carl's Guide, but it doesn't say anything more than at level 5 working from home review a performance or write a column.

Well, my Sim has done both. The day is ebbing quickly, and he's also supposed to write a book! That's insane. I defy anybody who can write a book in just a few hours. What am I doing wrong?

Please, and thank you, in advance, for any and all help on this. :)

When you click on a performer, is one of the choices "review performance"?

And what exactly does it say where it tells him to write a book?

Oh, I'm supposed to click on the performer? :open_mouth: Yikes. If I click on the icon for his job, since I chose for him to work at home, there are two tasks listed: review performance at the Art Center and write a book. Thank you for the tip!

You need to click on the sim performing and choose Review Performance. Then the task is done.
If you sim writes a column after reviewing a performance, art ect, they'll earn some extra cash. Try it out!

@EgonVM and @PinkPaws66 THANK YOU. As you can see I haven't played this career before. The in game lessons don't even give you a clue. And Carl's Guide did no better. I miss the guides they had for Sims 2.

No, I sent a Sim to the lounge but no one was telling joke so wanted to know if it worked there. I have only been to visit the art center once in CL.

Just to clarify things, the job-order sent him specifically to the Art Center.

Oh, o.k. I thought the job duty could be achieved anywhere. I think I haven't played that household in a few months so I was thinking it didn't say go here or there to complete it. I guess I forgot.

That's one reason I like having two Arts Centers in my game -- actually the one I built is more of an arts/science center. I can go to either one and hopefully catch a performer.

I think if your sim works on writing a book they will get credit for the "write book" chore the next day - even if they don't finish writing the book and the chore doesn't ever show as completed. BUT, it been awhile, so I may be misremembering. My Art Critic was also a bad poet - so he always had a couple of books in the works.
