I went into build/buy mode to toggle daylight so the pictures were better. Most of the sims silly enough to stay and watch the meteor were singed. (My sim went off to swim in the ocean.)
Here is the meteor impact and a few more singed sims.
Way off in the back on a park bench is a sim who stayed focused and studied throughout the entire impact and explosion. Most serious student sim ever. He is a little stinky; I don't know whether that's from academic dedication or a result of the meteor impact.

My SS getting abducted yet again but this time @CravenLestat decides to ride his bike through the alien spaceship beam which makes it look like he's about to get abducted...lol...
My husband just asked, "Is that the Sims 3 you're playing?" I said "Yes... Why do you ask?" and he said "Because it looks so good." This is just a goofy sim I was making in CAS. That comment made my night. I have to agree Sims 3 looks great for a 8 yr old game.

Lol! Only 4 pieces though. Not many destructible items around the stadium/annex. One of the sims has mastered sculpting so that's one sculpture.
