Welcome to my very first Challenge in the Sims 4. Let your creativity break out and have some fun with this challenge, and the winner could end up on the Heart & Home Magazine Cover (not a real one lol).
Challenge #2: Fixer Upper - Pyramid Style -
Download Link
A Young Adult with his/her ailing parent and young toddler have moved to Oasis Springs to begin a new life. The only house they could afford was a run down pyramid style home. The current lot value is $59,396. It needs a major update, both the outside and inside, as the pool in the backyard is a muddy brown and bubbling. There are only two bedrooms, one for the ailing parent and one for the toddler. The third floor is an art studio that the YA wants to make use of, but also needs a more private bathroom and a bed. They are on a very tight budget, so choose carefully how you wish to proceed.
Criteria:- The total lot value has to be $70,000, it can not go over.
- Only one item in each room can get an upgrade or new item (must be done), everything else has to stay as is (this is Buy Mode only)
- Unwanted clutter can be removed, but the core pieces of each room need to stay (like if it's a living room, the furniture that makes the living room need to stay).
- The third floor needs to be an art studio, slash bedroom with a small bathroom.
- The Pool area needs some TLC. Which means the fence needs an update as well as the entire enclosed area.
- All interior and exterior walls need to be changed. (as well as all water marks, cobwebs, ripped wallpaper need to be patched and fixed).
- All doors and windows need to be replaced (not moved or resized).
- Can not expand the rooms or tear down walls. Rooms can't be rearranged either.
- All columns have to stay where they are, but can be replaced or repainted. The one in the kitchen can be removed.
- In place of all the grass, dead plants, dead trees or overgrown plants must have new plants planted in a more manicured sense.
- A Winning Shot will be needed (be creative) that shows off the best of the home. Front of house shot. (So it could be night time lit up, on an angle.)
- Please use the hashtag(s) provided.
- It does not need to be on a 20x15 lot, but no more than 30x20

Comments: You did a really nice job with the home, I love the upper deck and the amount of space it gave to the home, and how spacious you made it look, even adding in a pool. What I would say is the lack of repainting/paneling two of the shipping containers' interior and exterior to give it a more homey feel. Overall, Nice Job!

Comments: I love the green space you put in outside where the couple that can live there, wow, double bed, can enjoy smelling the flowers while having a nice romantic meal outside. The arrangement of the shipping containers do lend to quite a bit of space for the couple. Although, I am not sure if it was by design or if you forgot, but the kitchen and bathroom only have drywall. It makes me think of it as unfinished, especially as the interior of the other two shipping containers is the same metal (and I do realize one of them had to be). Overall, nice job!

Comments: Wow, this looks homey, and two bedrooms (WOW!) and the outside is gorgeous. I definitely think you nailed it on this one and I do love the metal and wood combo, but maybe a bit of paint on some of the walls or carpet in the bedrooms at least. Or even bringing in some of that wood floor inside. Overall, great job!

Only one shipping container can't be recolored, so the black one is not recolored, but the other too are. Just like one interior can't be changed. Of course looking at it now, I forgot to recolor the green one lol.
It's a fairly open challenge as long as you meet the criteria that was given. Hope that answers your questions
Thanks Rose

Oh and I'm a new member so I can't post pictures :( It's too bad I put so much effort into my wining shot! (Tried different time of day and all...). Is there anyway I can post it?
Thanks for the challenge, it was lots of fun!

I hope I respected the criteria: I didn't change neither the exterior nor the interior of the black container, and tried to give it that "eco-friendly" touch :)

Sorry! I'm new and it took me a little bit to figure out how this all works! Can you delete the second and redondant post I left (I guess you're not supposed to post twice, I apologize...)
Here's the link to my shots: http://imgur.com/gallery/m1V9U
Thank you so much!
