According to the comments there, they can't be shared if the bed is standing against the wall. To fix it you have to have one free tile on each side of the bed.
Yes we definitely need bunk beds and family beds, parents on top bunk a child or another double bed underneath, or single on top and double underneath. for really poor sims who live in one room or a one bedroom apartment.
hopefully they're actually thinking of adding these in eventually, i know they might have had it on the potential list of things to let us vote on for the eco stuff pack under tiny home furniture or whatever.
Lots of rooms are too small for two beds, so bunk beds would be a good way to save space and kids love bunk beds. So why not have them. they should have been in the game from the start. 3 necessary things to raise a good Sims family. 1) Bunks beds 2) Laundry 3) A Car to take late kids to school. like in sims2. way back, we could do that why not now???
