This is such a cute and clever idea, CK. I've been lowkey following this thread and some of your old ones from the TS3 day back when I was around them, so I love seeing Meadow and Melonie again! And this is a wonderful way to watch them grow all over again.
Hi!
I have so much playing ahead of me.
I stopped back in an old save to try out Jungle Adventures and it was great seeing them walking around San Myshuno. I wonder how different their YAs years are going to be with all the new content we are getting.
Great update! I love your cute little addition to the household.
I may be in for a surprise with Gamma.
Messing around with aliens in CAS seems to mess them up. I was concerned about losing her YA human form.
If that changes she won't feel like Gamma anymore to me.
This was her when I first went into the game.
I discovered she had a green alien form instead of her purple, so I changed it, but decided to go with blue to make it fit better with the new scenario I am playing. Unfortunately doing that reset her human form to a really odd looking one. So I messed around in CAS a bit to get the something that looked like the toddler I first had.
I don't know what she will look like when she grows up.
I could age her up to find out, but It's just going to bug me. I'll find out later.
I still have not played the Sims 4 very much. Always get started on the game but then I just stop. Need to really try to play it more. Just not sure how much money to put into it. I love your thread because I think that it showcases the new things for the game. Will try to start a new game today and see what I want to do.

That has happened a lot with TS4 and myself as well.
I will open up the game wanting to play and then close it because making it fun just seems like work.
I think I am lucky with my current scenario. I am interested in seeing these sims develop and grow.
There is nothing angry about this child.
It's true. Things were sweet when it was just her and her mom.
But it's time to get Angry Girl's origin story rolling.
Linda is feeling lonely and is looking for love.
And she is making it almost impossible to not to be noticed in a crowd.
Yep, you're smokin' hot.
There is no crowd here, so Don is attracted instantly:
Oh, she's trying too hard.
Don is a bit confused.
He is not used to being blatantly pursued.
They go on to having quite the conversation.
But I don't think Don is quite the person for this part.
He had commitment issues in my TS2 games and was a womanizer, but he wasn't a real 🐸🐸🐸🐸 and I don't want to make him into one.
Linda loses interest in him. Ironically, Don would have been the better choice in hindsight.
Good, the nanny is cleaning up.
They share a few stories before she leaves.
Wow, that nanny was scandalous in her younger days.
Someone is up and needs a bath.
Linda is a mixologist and needs to practice before going to work.
This is eating into quality time with Michelle.
I have gotten used to two parent households.
It's kind of tough seeing her go.
Aww...
Linda is trying her best.
Her birthday has finally arrived.
She didn't get the full training that my other toddlers have.
It's so funny seeing my YAs as children.
She's a happy imaginative child.
Until mom has to leave.
This just seems sad to me.
She's also resourceful.
Homework don't she goes out and adds to the household funds.
Maybe she will breed frogs too.
Time to go home, get cleaned up, and have something to eat.
Cute! I was at Target this last week and they were having a sale on all Sims games. The only thing that I think that I did not have is the Sims 4 Pets. Did not buy it though. Not that it does not seem fun but I just do not play the Sims 4. Your gameplay thread here makes the game seem very fun. Maybe I will try it again. If I like it then maybe I will change my mind and buy pets. Right now it is spring break for my boys and they have taken over my computer once again. Just as I have gotten a bunch of new games too. It is a good thing that I have my books to read and my 3ds to play.

This game is still very doll house instead of simulation.
it depends too much on imagination to make things happen.
I am mainly enjoying it because of this scenario and setting.
In past sims games, when I loaded it up, there was usually the wondering of "what's going to happen today?"
In TS4 it's more like what happens is exactly what I decide to do, other than a surprise fire and maybe a visiting sim.
More content is helping, but it's like tools for my story making.
This thread has been very helpful in immersing me into the game and that's the main reason why I am doing it.
I am much further ahead than this thread indicates.
I still have a lot of pictures to post. Zane can use his vampire powers now, which I think will make things more interesting.
Well, the other shoe has finally dropped from Dr. Von Orotund's experiments.
A new child has arrived. An alien child: Gamma Vareen, and it turns out that her family was the DNA source that helped create Hecate, Ceridwen, and Bastet. Her parents died when their spaceship crashed on the planet. Gamma was the sole survivor.
"Dr. Von Orotund was one of the investigating scientists, and he took the opportunity to steal DNA for his side experiments.
So, In a peculiar fashion, all four of them are related. It shows up most in Hecate, with her blue skin.
My main concern is still keeping their unique attributes hidden until they are old enough to handle society at large.
That should be easy with Gamma, as long as she can resist revealing herself to people. You would never know she was an alien."
"I am afraid that will not be the case with the other three. In addition to cat eyes, their ears and tails are growing.
It will probably be obvious what they are when they are teens."
"Apparently stray cats already know!
I've seen them start to hangout on the property, coming closer and closer out of curiosity."
"We also have another new arrival: A young Mr. Cedric Dortz.
He's not as peculiar as my other charges, other than showing signs of genius. He was transferred from another orphanage because it was felt Windenburg's school, and this island, would be better for his development."
"Speaking of 'development' I would like to expose the children to more of the world and other cultures.
I am about to embark on an information gathering adventure in Selvadorada."
"It should be educational, but could also be dangerous. I will see for myself before exposing the children to the place.
What kind of teacher would I be if I were learning along side my students?
However, I will be taking Meadow with me on this trial run, to see how she feels about it."
Actually I (CK213) am looking for any excuse to go off on a jungle adventure and this is the best one:
Selvadorada!
They arrived a bit late in the day.
Miss Peregrine buys up all the supplies she can get.
The cultural center seems the best place to start.
She will bring the other children here first.
They can practice excavation on the property surrounding the cultural center before heading off to the deep jungle.
It's hot and late, they had better get back to rental house.
Miss Peregrine brews up some insect repellent before making dinner.
I didn't know she had that.
Good, at least she can keep herself amused.
"Can I have a machete, Miss Peregrine?"
Well obviously she can't have a machete.
We will leave the machete swinging to Miss Peregrine as they get an early start the next day.
"Get it in gear, Meadow, and keep up!"
I had my doubts about this game pack, but I have to admit the jungle is beautiful and immersive.
The main point is to get Miss Peregrine some skills so they have more options on the next trip.
"Do I get to do anything?"
"Yes. You get to watch and learn."
I love this flower branch thing.
This tree stands out. What is it?
Those look tasty.
Miss Peregrine will want to collect those for the garden back home.
That crocodile probably thinks Meadow would be quite tasty.
Oh, Miss Peregrine got herself cursed.
Meadow can't let this pass without some teasing.
They have gone much deeper into the jungle than I had planned.
It's probably a good time to end this trip.
Just a few more relics to take back home.
And besides...
...I think Meadow has had enough Jungle adventuring.
Pack it up!
Home sweet home.
The pack isn't quite as fulfilling as World Adventures was to me, but it's something to do and a way to earn cash for sims who need money fast, other than Motherlode.
Miss Peregrine can get the remaining skill points she needs by uncovering and authenticating artifacts.
Although, there will not be a new Sims Quarterly Teaser, stay tuned as we have some exciting news to share with you soon. The good news: we’re working on some great stuff!
Thank you for your patience and keep an eye on the forums and other official Sims channels for more info as it becomes available.
Whaaaaat?
No quarterly teasers?
Well, I hope this means they are going to stop teasing us and just spit out what they are going to make.
Phase 1: Fixes, OPs, Utils, and UI
Phase 2: Environments
Phase 3: Game Play Immersion
Phase 4: Homes Phase 5: Clothing and Equipment
Phase 6: Character
Phase 7: Followers
Phase 8: Quests and New Lands
Up until Phase 5, it probably looked like I was preparing to mod the heck out of TS4,
but nope!
I have gone way tooooooo long without Skyrim since building my current computer.
The game was in an awesome state and I never finished the play through.
It's time to fix that.
Seasons and University seem so far away.
I need some Skyrim as a distraction and I can play TS4 when I need Skyrim Breaks.
I will probably get back into Mass Effect as well.
I am only up to Phase 3 in the modding process though.
[UPDATED] Now at Phase 5!
I hope to have it done by Sunday.
I gotta get the old team back together and kick some dragon-scaled tail.
Yes, I'm heading back into Skyrim tomorrow too! TS4 just isn't keeping my attention at the moment... I need something game-changing *coughseasonscough*
Totally addicted to Skyrim now.
I do believe my Sims 4 game is going to be on hold until the next pack comes out, or I need a break from Skyrim.
And I have said it before, I am in no rush to advance my sims because I want them to experience Seasons and University.
The game is beautiful. This is the best I've seen it on any computer I have built.
(this will probably be the last I report on it here. I might create a thread in the Off-Topic forum)
All my mods are in place along with player created homes.
These two homes don't cost any money, so I am delaying access to them until certain game milestones are met.
Jenassa, still #1 sidekick.
Yeah... warning understood.
It's not time yet, but that airship will be mine.
Die, dragon, die!
The Deadly Dragons mod has made these creatures worth being feared.
This one was nearly the end of my character. Whenever I hear a dragon roar, I am looking around.
"Where is it? Where is it?"
I am a bit annoyed that they want simmers to download a mobile game just to get this.
This is a valuable feature that simmers want. To make them jump through hoops to get it shows where their priorities are.
I really like this and helps since the photo studio object does not allow family portraits.
Any possible chance you might be able to post a list somewhere of the mods you are using for Skyrim? It looks breathtakingly gorgeous
@becca_wrecca
This was a huge project as Skyrim was never the greatest looking game for me.
This isn't even a quarter of the mods I used for looks and game play, but these have a major impact on how the game looks.
You have to search for the following as there are nude pictures for these mods. UNP BLESSED BODY- UNPB REDUX PROJECT SG Female Textures Renewal Better males - Beautiful nudes and faces - New hairstyles
Bijin Warmaidens https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/40038
Warmaidens modifies the same characters as Skyrim Beautiful Followers, but you can choose what characters you want from the Bijin mods in Nexus Mod Manager. I only wanted a few characters from this mod, so I had it overwrite Aela from Beautiful followers. I mainly wanted Delphine, pictured at the bottom.
I'm back!
With pictures taken before I got caught up in Skyrim again.
I am still loving this house, but it's reminding me that I haven't built anything in a long time.
I used to build like crazy in The Sims 2 and 3.
Alrighty then!
Toddlers trained, children well on their way to character values, Meadow... becoming the new selfie-queen--it's time to advance this household. The portrait photo posted days earilier has already given it away.
Gamma Vareen, I will be so glad when she grows up and gets back her alien powers.
Wow, she's really skinny.
But she's an alien, so it's fine.
But have plenty of cake anyway.
Meadow dance skills, I got to send this girl to the dance clubs.
We are not done.
It's Zane's turn.
Whoa!
Yeah, Hecate, that's still a big jump.
I should get rid of the beard stubble.
Zane, I think you are looking like their favorite teen idols.
Be prepared for some crushing.
We are still not done.
Cedric is next.
I did get in some play time with him, but not much was documented here.
He is almost as brainy as Gamma.
Perfect.
I predict you will be best chums with Alexander Goth.
Ah, finally a solution for Zane's plasma cravings.
Aging him down to a toddler was problematic since sims tend to keep their traits and abilities from being a young adult.
Zane kept getting thirst moodlets that couldn't be resolved, so I had to cheat them away.
Now he can finally drink plasma packs.
Garlic now bothers him.
Meadow Thayer, care-free should be your middle name.
Zane is a reluctant vampire and Miss Peregrine aims to help him with not being a predator.
This is why she is lurking about Forgotten Hollow at night.
Plasma fruit trees are easy to spot at night.
No fruit--bummer.
Well she can take clippings.
They will have to wait a while, but at least they can grow their own fruit.
There has to be fruit around here somewhere.
I haven't had much desire to visit Forgotten Hollow--probably why it's forgotten.
But I have to admit the place is delightfully creepy at night.
There is a story here.
Okay, if I make another vampire, she's going to look like the younger doll.
The older doll is the master vampire who is buried here. She is the one who turned the younger sim.
She never played with these dolls. She made them later, after the master vampire died.
So dark and spooky.
I need another reason to come here besides plasma fruit.
Ah!
There you are.
And again, no fruit.
Okay, take more clippings.
We are done here.
I wish there were more reasons for non-vampire sims to come here at night, and an actual risk of being attacked by a vampire.
Just splice them to a basil bush and we should have fruit in no time.

Hi!
I have so much playing ahead of me.
I stopped back in an old save to try out Jungle Adventures and it was great seeing them walking around San Myshuno. I wonder how different their YAs years are going to be with all the new content we are getting.
We have some catching up tp do before we can even think about going on a Jungle Adventure.
NEW ARRIVAL!
"Well look at you!
People are going to start calling this place the home for adorable children."
Miss Peregrine puts Gamma down.
Whereupon the child suddenly transforms:
"Miss Peregrine...
What is she?"
"She's blue like Hecate.
Is she like us?"
Miss Peregrine is more concerned about this suddenly transformation.
"Gamma, change back. Please change back."
"Is she like us Miss Peregrine? Can we change like that too?"
"No, Ceridwen. Gamma is... something else."
Bastet was lost in her own thoughts as Gamma changed back to human form.
Her subconscious mind however, did not miss a thing.
"Great cats! What was that?
How did she do that?"
"Bastet, this is Gamma. She will be living with us."
"Excellent! If someone gets too annoying about my cat eyes, I can say, 'Oh, this is nothing compared to my changeling sister.'"
"You will say no such thing!"
"Are you hungry, Gamma?"
"Welcome to Freak Club, kid."
It's going to be great having my alien back in the game.
Welcome back, Gamma.
Bastet shifts into angry mood swings once in awhile.
She works through it with an oversized stuffed friend.
Better now?
Zane lost his room to Gamma.
Not a bad trade really.
I was admiring the house this night.
This ghost must have been a lush while she was alive.
The still of morning was awakened by very loud music.
Bastet has now entered the loud music phase.
This was quite cool actually.
Especially since it's Bastet.
I'm sure Miss Peregrine is happy to see them off to school.
I may be in for a surprise with Gamma.
Messing around with aliens in CAS seems to mess them up. I was concerned about losing her YA human form.

Oh, she's trying too hard.
Don is a bit confused.
He is not used to being blatantly pursued.
They go on to having quite the conversation.

Cake for dinner?
The kid is exhausted.
Good night.
I guess I should play her values toward responsibility.
She's going to have low emotional control though.
I haven't forgotten my other sims.
Stepping over to Willowcreek, we find some drama going on.
The Firenza family is having trouble with vampires.
As dapper as Vlad is looking these days, his presence is unwanted in this household.
As Vlad leaves, another vampire steps up to do the door:
They have been really annoying.
They keep coming by and knocking at the door.
None have attacked, but Devon decides to attack first.
Yeah, we are not fooled by his preppy look, and if you come back, you will get more of the same.
Anyway, I have been playing my other sims to advance my toddlers.
Cairo is finally aging up to a child.
He will grow up to be as big a flirt as his dad.
Homework done, as well as a lesson in flirtation, go out and play.
Three of my families are in Brindleton Bay.
Ok, time spent on making falling Autumn leaves?
Seasons is the next Expansion Pack.
Yup!
Olivia has her own ball pit.
Oh, and I am so happy to have custom grass for Brindleton Bay.
Money, money, money, Olivia's upwardly mobile parents are on the business track.
I left her still a child, but she will be aging up when I get back to them.
I noticed this stray digging up gift boxes while checking out The Brindleton Bay beaches.
Ling's dad can't pass up this opportunity.
Free Stuff!
Thanks, pooch!
I should use the money to landscape the property.
We have to show Ling some love before guitar practice.
I love the small local airfield.
But this farm and cattle...
Dare I hope for a farming game pack this year?
I started a new family in Brindleton Bay and in this nice little tucked away location.
Little Vaughn Noble and family.
I like this lot.
So simple after playing the Peregrine house.
You're still going to pursue Medicine, future Dr. Noble.
Aww, I forgot about these pictures on the wall.
They're growing up.
Which I am glad.
They are certainly keeping Miss Peregrine busy.
With bear phases...
Constant asking for advice...
Tons of laundry...
And toddler training...
I still love the ol' swimming hole.
Even though my sims don't use it much.
However, Meadow is approaching her age stage day and I am concerned about her aging up overweight.
Get to swimmin', Missy.
Jungle Adventures brought some nice 3-dimensional lillie pads.
Bastet is still going through angry mood swings.
I gave her a sparkler which didn't help much.
She took out her anger on the doll house, of course.
Miss Peregrine couldn't allow that to pass unpunished.
Take a time out.
Maybe music will soothe the savage beast?
Speaking of soothing, they are going to need soothing for second degree burns.
Miss Peregrine had to put Meadow out first before turning to the dryer.
It was a hassle trying to keep the children away from the fire.
Unfortunately "once burned, twice shy," is a foreign concept to sims.
NEW ARRIVAL!
Cedrick Dortz, the final resident to the Peregrine home.
A peculiarly bright little tyke, I think he and Gamma will get on well.
Yeah, yeah, abdorbs.
It's good to have another male in the house.
Zane was the only one.
The lamps must have been misplaced.
I thought the monster under the bed had been banished.
Nope!
Run for it.
The spray bottle is so funny.
Miss Peregrine always saves the day.
This game is still very doll house instead of simulation.

I am on vacation.
The orphanage has been invaded by cats.
They are being attracted by Hecate, Ceridwen. and Bastet.
With a little help from the Cat Hangout lot trait for the sake of immersion.
They are always into something.
It approves of Meadow's birthday cake.
This is a big day.
The first of my time warped YAs is about to become a teen.
Transformation time!
"Hey, I'm not dressed in oddball clothes!"
"Wait a minute..."
"You edited me in CAS, didn't you?"
Yes I did!
[Cue groovy Meadow Thayer dance music.]
Plus you were a little chunky too.
"My little one is practically grown up!"
Practically. She looks so close to young adult Meadow.
"You have your own room again.
It's already set up."
It looks like Winston, the hamster, isn't happy.
We will see to him later.
Let's check out the room.
Looks comfy.
A guitar.
She'll learn.
Her room could use a few more posters though.
So it's off to the city to swipe a few.
Snatch!
Snatch!
Perfect.
Hecate, Ceridwen, and Bastet all share the same room now.
The best thing about Meadow aging up?
She can finally do some real help around the house.
Practice makes perfect.
Oh the horror!
I'm glad I got a picture of it.
I think Meadow is going to delete her's.
Whaaaaat?

This one was nearly the end of my character. Whenever I hear a dragon roar, I am looking around.
"Where is it? Where is it?"
Still kicking around Skyrim and having a blast.
I did take time out to update TS4.
I am a bit annoyed that they want simmers to download a mobile game just to get this.
This is a valuable feature that simmers want. To make them jump through hoops to get it shows where their priorities are.
I really like this and helps since the photo studio object does not allow family portraits.
This was modded by Pegasys.
The link to the mod is in the creator's thread:

The Shadow at the bottom is a bit janky, but it's better than over-the-top picture frame that EA created.
The shadow clipping was bugging me though, so I went for the extracted version by:

I like Meadow's and Bastet's pose. In character for them.
And a less annoying color.
Not much choice there.

This was a huge project as Skyrim was never the greatest looking game for me.
This isn't even a quarter of the mods I used for looks and game play, but these have a major impact on how the game looks.
