Exceptions? I remember years ago when I tried to load sims 3 for mac, I kept getting an error message saying exception raised every time. I had to manually patch the game to stop that from happening. Is this what is happening to you?
An exception isn't something to get rid of. "An exception has been raised, would you like to debug it?" is a fancy way to say "the game has crashed, bye bye, see ya." If offered a choice of what to do next, it doesn't matter how the question is answered because by then the program has already crashed.
Are you indeed playing on a Mac?
TS3 for Mac is a mess. Because of the awful way EA arranged it, the program can only utilize 2 GB of RAM no matter how much the player has installed or what kind of Mac they have, which is a bit more than half of what the Windows version can use. Making things worse are the newer integrated graphics chips that the game does not run well on (if at all), those with dedicated Nvidia or AMD graphics cards do fare better but only a little.
To keep RAM usage below 2 GB, one has to purge RAM constantly throughout play or once games progress beyond a certain point or have heavy loads of content they will get crashes and Error 12s upon trying to save, which are just as bad -- who wants to play a game that cannot be saved? https://bluebellflora.com/resetting-ram-during-gameplay
But that only works up to a point. The way I and many others got passed this was to Bootcamp Windows onto our Macs and play TS3 for Windows instead. Which only makes sense if you have the hardware and drive space to support a Bootcamp partition and are willing to purchase a full retail version of Windows to put on it.

But sounds like none of us are getting what you mean. What is it you are doing and what exactly is the error that is being produced and at what point?
