Shell House TS4 Building Challenge

I'm just learning Ts4 Building and videos, so I need to practice and I"m looking for inspiration and ideas. I originally created this house in TS2. (The idea for a shell house isn't mine. I think it's LoflyH's from the Guid Morrow Club but I can't remember exactly.)

The completed lot(s) will be used as backgrounds for a Sim Vid featuring inspiring quotes but with Sim screen shots. If you build a venue with the packs I have, I'll be able to do an in-game walk-through for photos/videos.

Here's an example of how I am using the lots for quotes on my "I

Quotes" page:

Here are the rules:

1. Exterior walls/shape has to remain the same shape.
2. You can change doors.
3. You can add windows.
4. Walls need to stay double height as they are now.
5. This can be changed to any kind of lot - commercial or residential.
6. Landscaping: as much or as little as you like.
7. Outside stairs can be any color or design but need to remain in place.
8. Any railings you want.
9. There are no interior stairs so you can place those any way you like.
10. Interior rooms can be anything you like but looking for space as much as possible if a commercial lot.
11. Anyone who enters, if I have your same packs I'll do a walk-through video. (Jazztizz2 / Niki Flow on YouTube). I want to get better at making TS4 videos.
12. This is my first TS4 building challenge here so if you have ideas for more rules or if you have any questions, please let me know. I'm still learning.

Night Club - dressed to the nines for dancing
Park for a barbecue
Park for a bonfire dance (
Park for fishing
National park for hiking
National park for bird watching / collecting
Library to study with friends
Library to read / hang with friends
Library for story time with the kids
Museum - school class trip
Museum - date (only need 2 sims for this)
Museum - budding artists looking for inspiration
Air and Space Museum - a geek group
Lounge - probably not for kids
Pool - definitely for kids of any ages
Gym - adults unless someone submits a gym with a play area which would be awesome. @Laebeth
Shopping - bridal party going shopping for shoes
Shopping - back-to-school with the kids
Shopping - friends shopping for prom dresses (formal can include their choices)

Corresponding CAS Shell House Challenge
If you build a specific type of venue, I'm also looking for sims to be featured that fit the venue so there's a corresponding CAS challenge.

I made a gym! Sims of all ages can use it, as there are monkey bars downstairs (with a safety mat, of course) and a pool on the roof.

It is very nice that you have used the shell to create a gym! @phantasmkiss

Very nice exterior of the build! The type of large glass windows used looks very nice, creating a nice light filled gym. Sims will enjoy looking out through the windows at the outside views whilst training indoors. The corner water fountain nooks on the outside of the building are very nice.It is great that there is a rooftop pool for sims to enjoy swimming in. The gym sign is a nice touch, placed amidst the plants and flowers. The kids will have fun playing on the monkey bars, whilst other sims enjoy using the fitness equipment in the bulld areas to keep fit.
It is a very nice gym!

I'm so excited! It was great seeing my gym in use (by someone besides me)! I love that you took time to point out some of your favorite details and that you switched camera angles to show wider views of the small areas. If you could figure out how to add music, it would be perfect. ;)

Would I be hogging the thread if I made a nightclub too? Would I get another video?

Now, I may go out on a limb here on @Jazztizz behalf, but I don't see anything in the rules saying you can't build more if you want to

I'd love to see a nightclub. Make as many as you like. I'll do my best to make videos of everything. Music would be cool but often it's copyrighted and gets pulled so I didn't want to risk it.
