My sims ex won't leave

Is this a bug or something?

One of the sims in my family, married and moved in Kash Hills. They had a son together. They then split up. I've filled my household to 8 since then. Locked the door so only household members can get in and travelled twice with Kash but he still hangs around in the house like he lives there, he sleeps in the beds, uses the shower and even spends the money.

How can I get rid of him for good? I still want him in the sim world as I often send his son Declan over to visit him at his actual house but I'd like him to leave my house alone.

How can I get rid?

I've been having the same issue. First unlock the front door because he might not be able to get out then put some like a table or bonfire pit outside of you don't already have one and have one of your household sims sit down and call him over. Once he's out of the house lock the door for everyone besides household members again and he should eventually get the point and stop standing in your yard

Is Declan a toddler? There have been a few threads about parents of a toddler who keep showing up to the toddler's lot even though that parent doesn't live there.

It's a toddler bug. My guess is that it has something to do with the parents being coded as a caregiver for the toddler. They are programmed to constantly check on toddlers whether they need it or not.

Thanks guys, fixed itself when I aged Declan up. Will remember about the caregiver thing if I split parents up again

Really? I have a single mother with a toddler in my game and the father never shows up, not once. Tsk, bad dads in my game.

So basically if you don't want to age your toddler up then you have to deal with this. Unacceptable.

Have they found a fix to this issue yet? It happens to me every time I have a toddler as a single mom, which is my favorite family type and something I do frequently. My sim also ended the relationship and is dating someone else now, and it's supper weird that her ex is just hanging around sleeping in her bed.

One the toddler ages up, you won’t have the issue.

In my 100 Baby challenge I used to get this ALL the time. You can download MC Command Center and there's an option to force Sims to leave. But MCCC makes my game lag so I don't really use it. I will typically form a group with the sim and then I believe you can ask them to leave after that. You might have to disband the group first, I'm not sure. That's worked every time for me, though!
