My plantsim just died of ''hunger''...

Is it a bug? Or is it supposed to happen?
His sunlight need was very low, but it was night so his sunlight need couldn't go up. I thought to let him stand in the sun in the morning after he wakes up. But he woke up earlier and just died of hunger... Wasn't he supposed to revert to his original self??
Did anyone else had this too or is it just me?

I have no pictures because I panicked and closed the game without saving. He's technically still alive now. I just thought I'd report this.

EDIT: I repaired the game in origin, and started up the game to see if he would now revert to his original self. I changed all of the household to plantsims except one toddler. I noticed they ALL had very low sunlight and now they ALL died at once and the toddler was taken away...

I had also read that they would revert. But perhaps that happens only when they don't drink enough water ...

That's what I was thinking, that maybe it has to do with a combination of not getting enough water and sunlight.

Strange because his water need was all the way up.

What I wanted to guess was: If they don't get enough sun they die. If they don't drink enough they get grey hair in 2 steps and then probably revert. I don't think that there is a link between the 2 needs. My Sim had the grey hair.

Was your Sim also eating regular food? I saw where you said their Water/Thirst was full.

PlantSims have their Bladder Need replaced with “Water” and their Hunger Need is satisfied by being outside in the sun. PlantSims must have enough water in order to photosynthesize, so if their water need is low, they will not be able to satisfy their hunger need.
PlantSims who do not get enough water will eventually “dry out” (which causes their hair to turn grey) and after 24 hours, their hunger will begin to deplete. PlantSims who do not satisfy their water and hunger needs will receive the “Parched” and “Sun Starved” uncomfortable moodlets. This is the final warning to get them water. If PlantSims have not replenished their Water need within 24 hours, they will Wilt Away and become human.

The plantsim needs to have their water needs up , then they use the sun to keep alive. If they still don't get the sunlight that they need, they will die.

@rosemow @EuphorialQueen oh was it water?? I thought it was low sunlight that would revert them back to human... I must've read it wrong... So it wasn't a bug at all but just my carelessness :P Sorry!

No worries though, I didn't save and they're all alive. I used the cheat sims.remove_all_buffs to revert them back because I didn't want to be plantsims anymore haha

It is good that the sims are still alive
