Didn't realize until recently that sims act as tourists in San Myshuno!

I had yet another "durrr" moment in this game recently. I didn't realize that sims who turned up at the Old Salt House in Hawaiian shirts, khakis and a baseball cap were really tourists. It was only when one of the sims opened a map when I went, "Ohhhhh!"
And then I realized that he was dressed like that because of the "Ugly American" stereotype, which was a joke from the old days about how all American tourists tended to dress up in Hawaiian shirts, khakis and baseball caps whenever they went on vacation:
