I've been trying to do a roof for the front of a house but kept going inside the house but i've kinda done the roof but there's still a little bit inside, would you just leave and ignore it or keep trying untl it's not inside the house (the green bits)?

Rooves clip inside houses when the room the roof butts up against is not considered a fully enclosed room. This can happen when using fences in place of internal walls or when going for an open space above. It is difficult to see where the roof is clipping in your picture, it looks like the pink room where the stairs are but I'm not sure. You need to ensure each room is fully enclosed ie. can be selected as a room. If necessary redraw the external walls as a continuous line. If you page up, generally any room that is not considered enclosed will not have a ceiling.

This can also happen if you haven't placed the higher floor's roof yet. As in the roof that will sit on top of the walls the roof is clipping through. From how bright that floor is in your picture I'm guessing you haven't placed it yet.

I hadn't put a higher roof on at that point no, it seems to have stopped the roof clipping through, The room was enclosed as that was my first thought as well but never gave it a thought that it might be to do with not putting a higher roof on. Thank you!

How you can solve this problem is by using the flat porch on top of the other room (beside the sinking roof) then place your roof. It shouldn't drop into the room without a roof at that point. It makes the game bouncy but that is exactly how Maxis does it. ETA: Place the flat box/porch over the stair case room and the others if you want the other real roof not to drop into those areas.
