Here are my suggestions. Can't post links since I don't qualify as an actual member yet, so I'm just breaking them as someone suggested to me in one of the newbie threads. Just remove the spaces when putting them in to your address bar. (I'd also really appreciate it if someone else wouldn't mind fixing the links for me ). If I get member status before this thread is closed...I'll update this w/ pictures.
I'd like a lot of Reused Items turned into furniture type stuff, like this:

Other than that, lots of reclaimed wood stuff in general!!
Also maybe some windows and stuff to make a cute shabby little greenhouse??

Screen windows/doors would be great as well!! I'd love my sims to have a screened in porch without CC. Maybe an old, shabby looking porch swing?? If it'd just be a normal chair....No qualms with a working porch swing tho lol
These are the things that @Cruelhumanbean would like to see in the game...
The main reason why I voted for option B instead of A is because it reminded me modern provence style of living.
One of the cafe near my home (Central Europe btw), called PS Café really brings these vibes to me. Yes, I agree.. there is a lot going on in the pictures. Little overkill with all that decorations but it's great for an inspiration.
Another reason - herbs and flowers.
When it comes to clothing and hairstyles in B.. I'm not really feeling it. It's like from the modern farm or something. I would rather save it for more outdoor/country themed pack.
I'm not trying to sound basic but just look what people are wearing at Coachella. It's called boheamian style (but you already know that I guess). It's not that far from what you showed us. It's just better fitting.
Type "boho outfit" to Google search and you'll get thousands of pics.
This hanging plant thing (the idea not actual soda bottles)
These lights
Spool tables with slots
Everything in this picture including the wallpaper - Bench seating at table (the booths are a bench and the firepit can take a bench so a table should be able too without a new anim)
I love this look - again with bench seating, a nice tall mirror, a shelf thingie divider, beams on the ceiling, a mix of rustic and industrial
New woodpile, the one we have has a very particular look which is hard to disguise
Masonry, we need more for the walls pretty please.
Bamboo Paneling, bamboo me!
Wood Paneling
Painted Wood Paneling
Big square window (not floor to ceiling, just big and square, also floor pillows decorative or otherwise)
What I would give for windows like this:
Beams, for the ceiling or w/e I want to put them.
A fatter solid "spandrel" so we can make (kitchen or otherwise) soffits instead of using backwards cabinets.
Clothing - boho chic for me with a little country/indie mixed in
Girls: Loose fitting clothing, sundresses, vests, flowy skirts, overalls, cute boots, cute flat sandals
Boys: Vests, loose fitting clothing, suspenders, cool shirts
Spiral stairs for smaller homes, maybe a sewing, quilting or other crafting skill to make our own clothes and curtains. More gardening options like greenhouses, more plants and food, herb drying rack, maybe smaller pots for growing herbs on a counter or window sill. Laundry with a clothes line for drying clothes, maybe a way to wash clothes by hand.
Think "living off the grid"... smaller appliances (for tiny living spaces), bookshelves that double as stairs, ladders for climbing to the loft, wood stoves, foundations that looks like trailer beds, solar panels, water collection bins, composting toilets, etc.
Think "living off the grid"... smaller appliances (for tiny living spaces), bookshelves that double as stairs, ladders for climbing to the loft, wood stoves, foundations that looks like trailer beds, solar panels, water collection bins, composting toilets, etc.
Yes and more yes to smaller appliances for smaller homes and living off grid! Smaller book cases, desks, closets, dressers.
I'm so glad concept B was chosen. I really loved the Appaloosa Plains and Riverview worlds in the Sims 3, and feel like this concept has a similar feel. I've taken the liberty of poking around pinterest, furniture sites, and clothing stores to come up with some ideas that seem to fit this theme and would make great additions to the Sims 4. I hope you like the ideas I've come up with!
Buy Mode:
A few things I really love in this image and that stand out specifically as befitting of the country theme are:
The upholstered couch with pillows. The closest ones to this currently in game are the "Trash or Treasure Sofa" and "The Hipster Hugger," but I'd love an option with more colors available as well as the added throw pillows-- perhaps even one recolor with a quilt draped over the back. This couch seems homey, comfy, and inviting which are all things I think of when I think of "country-style."
I love the look of the coffee table because I love the combination of the variety of woods. I think there could be some really cool pieces done for this pack that incorporate the idea of multiple woods-- dressers, coffee tables, dining tables, etc. that would give that weathered, hand-made look.
Speaking of sofas, this pack could be a perfect place to introduce a sectional to the game. I've noticed a lot of country/farm style houses incorporating sectionals and, again, throw pillows, into their living rooms and it's a great, warm look.
I love this tv stand, but more than that I really love the look of the reclaimed wood. Similar to using a variety of different wood types in one piece, I feel like the reclaimed wood would also add that country dimension to the pack.
This gorgeous combination of leather and wood works beautiful for an ottoman. Similar styles incorporating the wood and leather idea could work beautifully for dining chairs.
Two things stand out to be about this country fireplace: The stonework, which is stunning, and the fact that it is a corner fireplace. All of the fireplaces currently in-game must be placed against one wall-- a corner fireplace would be a great addition that would open up the room and
allow us to do more in those pesky corners that would allow greater variety in interior design with furniture set-up, etc.
This pack would also allow for some great wooden bed additions. I love the idea of multiple wood stains but would love to see even more simple white wood beds. Currently, we don't have a lot of simple wooden beds-- a lot have intricate designs on the bedspreads, etc. I'd love to see wooden beds with simple bedding, perhaps some gingham and patchwork quilts. I think they'd add a lot to the game. Loft beds and/or bunk beds would be another great way to introduce more variety in this pack. I often think of big families or space-saving when I think of country houses, so bunk and loft beds would fit really well for kids' rooms.
A few other buy-mode ideas:
Braided rugs-- these would definitely give a country vibe and would look hand-made. Round braided rugs would look lovely in a country-style kitchen and against wood floors.
Quilted wall-hangings
Neutral rugs- I think of a lot of neutral colors and 'clean' colors when I think of a farmhouse or a country house.
I didn't focus as much on kitchen items in my searches, but I would love to see some country-style counters (varied wood/reclaimed wood?) as well as showers. I'd love a plain shower/tub combo along the lines of the current "Under the Sea clawfoot tub and shower" but maybe with gingham shower curtains or something a little more simple/rustic looking.
Build Mode
Sliding barn doors, both single and double. Sliding doors are a great interior design trend we're seeing a lot of in real life right now, and bringing them into the game would add so much to this kind of gamepack. They're classy and rustic, a combination of simplicity and loveliness that would work in a variety of sim homes and would be a welcome addition to the game.
Split stairs. We wouldn't have to build them ourselves so it wouldn't require anything other than purchasing them this way, with the 'split-level' floor already in there, if that makes sense. This would add so much realism to houses in the sims.
Other Build Mode thoughts:
Ladders that can be used instead of stairs. I'm imagining with a country-themed pack that we could see a lot of upcycled barns and lofts, and ladders would be a great addition to so we could use them in place of stairs if we wanted to do so.
More wooden siding, particularly weathered wood siding
Because this has already gotten pretty long, I'll save clothing for a separate post!
i will give u guys some ideas!!!
here's the imgur url with all the images together: imgur.com/a/Zn0Te
please saw the images, i have some AWESOME ideas!!
Please oh please can you find a way to fit in a big comfy couch with throw pillows and maybe even a throw blanket to hang on the end with lots of neutral color options. All the sofas we have look so uncomfortable. I would love this pack to include comfortable living items. Also, spiral and L-shaped stairs.
Hair- I echo the ideas of flower crowns, kerchiefs, ribbons, and loose braids. I imagine loose curls and face-framing pieces from hair that's tousled after working or gardening all day. Simple, sweet, lovely styles, such as:
I love this simple side-ponytail with a ribbon. I'd love to see it for all ages, hanging over the shoulder so we can see the ponytail coming down front
I also really love the idea of a braided headband with loose curls for all ages
Additionally, some longer hairstyles for girls and toddlers, especially some with loose curls.
Clothing-
Adults:
I think of simple but sweet, with eyelet, lace, a few ruffles, chambray, etc.
Some ideas:
Children & Toddlers:
Nightgowns for children and adults would be wonderful!
One final thought: not a CAS mode item, but one for buy mode: dolls and toys that look hand-made
Again, long post, so I'll do another later with ideas for men.
Long hair styles, CAS options for toddlers, an oven looks like the AGA's above, new small plants to put everywhere, a comfy regular couch/loveseat (like the hipster couch in the game but with more color options) and lots of clutter.
Those would be awesome!
I would love to see mix and match pots with plants. Empty pots with different plant options that we can fill.
I would also love more hanging type pots, like with macrame, wall plants, and small ones for shelves. And generally more items that fit on shelves.
Basically - clutter.
Hello sims team can I just say as a general complaint that forum doesn't seem to me as the best way of collecting what is really wanted by the community, at least I think it would be better if people used spoiler tags for pictures and describe what part of the picture contains an item they would like to see in the game?
I love the idea of eco country pack although laundry seems a bit random addition to the theme, so I guess as far as the game play objects go we can't realistically expect more that a washer, a dryer and a clothing line, an ironing desk would be a new addition and maybe some new overlays on the sims to show that clothes really are dirty, the mechanics of having clothes piles appear every time a sim changes clothes just seem as more annoying to me, I don't wash all of my clothes every time I change... but enough about that lets go to the possible items that could appear;
I will go through each category and paste some pictures I think would go with the theme and also be something I would love to see in the game;
male cas;
some proper man buns
and some distressed denim stuff, like jackets and shirts maybe overalls
female cas;
we could definatelly get some flowery embroiled jeans
they can be cut like boyfriend jeans or maybe shorts or like overalls
but mainly I would love some proper high waisted loose jeans (that would also look nice on elders on swatches with more muted colors!) and maybe some loose crop tops is this stuff pretty trendy? yes, but does it also somewhat fists the theme? also yes, another thing could be smock dresses
and I agree with the poster above that we need some messy curly hair it could be really long or maybe some bob length but it has to be curly and in a messy way, flowers would be nice but they would limit the way the hair can be used, so I am only for the flowers if they come as an accessory
children cas;
I don't think I have to include pictures here but there has to be some new TODDLER clothes, like short overalls, flowery summer dresses, plaid shirts and also the messy curly hair that will match the adults like a shorter version, and the same hair for older kids of course
furniture;
I think here I just love everything in the concept art just more of it, I like the idea of having a lot of mudroom clutter
and pantry clutter
a comfy sofa and a fluffy carpet, perhaps a wall murals like were the ones from the vampire pack, but maybe more in the line of flowery ones
also I would love some colourful bouquets made with wild flowers
and as the last thing grass roofs, because what is more eco than that
ok I can't be asked to wait to become a full member so someone will have to fix the broken links, ahh I made this post hours ago and I tried desperately to became a full member but now I just can't be bothered
Edit; I've just became a full member, now that was some hard work
I believe these are all Florence Welch's house hahaha Something about the theme, the eco living, the contact with nature in a cosy way, threw me right back to her "Lungs" phase. There is indeed a lot of pre-raphaelite references and some pagan vibes in it, but fashion is always revisiting itself, and some stuff like the hairs, the flow of the clothers, I can see as a trend right now.
Also, I would thank a lot if some industrialized items like metal and plastic could be avoided the most possible, unless in a reused/recycled form or with a eco purpose, since there is nothing more aseptic and far from nature than that. Glass is fine, though, it looks awesome in contact with natural elements.
Eco-friendly implies renewable energy, and renewable resources.
Reclaimed wood is great for furniture, and as accent-walls.
I agree we need more stuff to do on the wood-crafting bench; could we at least have swatches of new wood-tones added to what we can already carve? It wouldn't require added functionality, just more textures to choose from.
Assorted currently in-game trash cans recolored with the recycling symbol on them, maybe symbols of aluminum cans and plastic bottles. When we use those trash cans instead the option in the bubble could be "recycle" instead of "throw away". Then we could pretend that we are recycling paper plates instead of trashing them.
Neutral, muted, and warm earth-tone palettes (sp?) for CAS and Build/Buy. No neons!
Those daisy crowns are adorable, maybe a braided hair with flowers woven in too?
Cleaning clutter with eco-safe logos, like the RL cleaner Simple Green.
Mason jars and soup cans that sit on the counter or a window shelf for harvestable, usable kitchen herbs (maybe only grows 3 rather than 10?). Mint would be a nice addition.
A simple, much less elaborate looking birdseed thing like from Backyard Stuff. Softer, earthier colors, made from repurposed parts. Maybe remeshed to look like a birdhouse & feeder?
Maybe a few new bird skins, and a stray squirrel to ninja your seeds? 8D ?
And the number one way to get me to buy a new pack: New Harvestables, like Orange trees and Plum trees! Come on guys, Plum trees! How do we not have these yet?! ;D
*** In a patch near the time when this SP comes out, would you guys consider a few fixes that require the appropriate harvestables for a bunch of recipes missing them? Like strawberries for strawberry cake and strawberry ice cream, lemons for lemon ice cream, roses for rose ice cream (you get the idea) ...carrots for carrot cake?
- And an extra option in the cooking menu to choose "Ingredients Required". It would make gardening that much more relevant, and our cooking more challenging if we wish it.
