    Hello
When saving the game, don't use " save and exit " as that can cause issues. Use " save" or " save as" instead, then after saving exit the game. You may already be doing that.

Repairing the game may help with your issue, To do that, right click on the sims 4 picture in Origin and click repair.

Try resetting your sims 4 folder and see if that helps. To do that, move your sims 4 folder ( that is in Documents -Electronic Arts - then the sims 4 folder is there ) to the desktop. Then start the game, and a new sims 4 folder will be generated. Exit the game and then copy back the "options.ini" or " options " file and the "saves" , "screenshots" "tray" "custom music " and "mods" folders from the desktop sims 4 folder to the new sims 4 folder, replacing the new generated file/ folders with the old file/folders from the desktop sims 4 folder.

Sometimes having a large amount of items in the sims inventories and household inventory can cause issues. Try removing some of the items from the inventories and see if that helps.

Try lowering your graphics settings and see if that helps.

    Hello
I am sorry that you are having this issue :(
Try turning off origin in-game and see if that helps. To do that, go,to Game Library in Origin . Right click on The Sims 4 picture. Click on “Game Properties”. Then untick the box that enables origin in-game

Try seeing if you have the same issues occurring when playing in offline mode.

Deleting the origin cache files may help

If you have Avast anti-virus, try disabling the Game Mode component and restarting your PC. Recently Avast had an update, and it's been causing conflicts with World of Warcraft when trying to exit the game. So maybe it's also conflicting with TS4? Worth a shot.

@BlueOvale nope not the antivirus I use. I am just using Microsoft security Essentials but thanks for that info I'm sure it will help others who do use that antivirus program

    Hello @snootypatooty
If you are still having issues, try moving your sims to another home and test to see if the issue remains.
