But since this is their honeymoon after all, they have a slightly more luxurious lodging than usual. They've taken into a beautiful little villa at the edge of the jungle.
There are lots of collectibles in this very area, and Fridtjof has established a little authentication station on their front porch.
They have to admit it's nice to not spend every night in a small tent.
Pernille is with them this time, and she's found a comfortable couch to sleep on.
They've decided to enjoy the village more this time, and not spend all of their holiday in the depths of the jungle.
So after breakfast at the marketplace, Jonatan takes Pernille for a long walk around the area.
But they are heading up into the jungle eventually, to find rarer collectibles.
They take their time with excavating, and camp one night at the highest area.
Jonatan is helping out a lot more with the digging this time, so he's getting quite good at it too.
So when they come back to the villa the next evening, they have an insane amount of collected artifacts.
The following day they leave Pernille at the villa and travel to areas of the jungle they haven't been before. Jonatan finds a great fishing spot.
Then they go back to the temple, but it looks completely different this time. Jonatan tries to make sense of the traps while Fridtjof excavates some more piles.
They end up staying late, but they have all their camping gear with them.
Camping inside a temple full of ancient curses is maybe not the least risky thing they've done, but they seem to be fine so far.
wow loving this thread although I know want to go back a few pages to find the thread for the other family :) you have done such a great job I never do families more than 3 generations as I only like a maximum of 4 sims (and their needs etc) in a house or its chaos!
@foxybilly Thank you, I'm glad you enjoy it. There's a link to my other family (same original family tree) in my signature. And I agree it can get chaotic with many sims - I have seven at the most now, and I keep pausing the game a lot to not lose control of what's going on
But the rest of the exploration does not go as smoothly this time. When they finally get to the center of the temple, they're scorched, poisoned, stinky and exhausted. Time to find antidotes and go home!
Safely back home, they have tons of artifacts to uncover and authenticate. This will take some time.
One happy morning, Fridtjof can inform Jonatan that he's pregnant. They're going to have a baby!
And there's more exciting news, because they've finally managed to buy a retail store where they can sell their collectibles, herbal remedies and so on. It's small, but cute!
Fridtjof's belly is getting bigger, but he's working long days in the retail shop to earn money for the baby. This business could potentially be really profitable. They have some very valuable treasures for sale, stored safely behind glass, and they're getting quite a lot of customers already!
They're celebrating this great start by dining at their favorite restaurant. To the future!
The baby has arrived! It's a boy, and they've named him Sigurd Kauffmann. He has a beautiful nursery which has lots of toys already. The family soon arrive to greet him, and the grandparents are very proud.
Jonatan's teenage sister Johanne is not so interested in the baby, but she's very happy to get some homework help by her big brother.
There is a nice and quiet fishing spot right behind the house, where Jonatan is fishing a lot nowadays. They eat some of the fish themselves, and some of it is put up for sale on Jonatan's new business idea: A farmers market type yard sale where he offers garden produce and today's fresh catch.
He doesn't do this every day, but maybe once or twice a week. It brings in some extra money. They need to be creative and proactive with how they make a living, since none of them have regular jobs.
They probably don't need to worry though, since the retail business is going way past expectations.
They have been selling so many artifacts. And they still have lots of uncovered ones at home, so it will take a while before they need to go back to Selvadorada.
The cats are growing old at Jonatan's parents' house.
Aurora is clearly Yin's favorite family member, and her room the favorite hangout spot. Aurora spends most of her time working with programming or joining video game tournaments.
Johanne is a teenager who does what's expected of her. She has a very good relationship with her father, and their favorite activity is to sing karaoke together.
She's also started helping out in his restaurant, and lately they've started a decoration project together where they paint some murals around the restaurant building.
The restaurant has karaoke too, of course. Albert entertains his guests sometimes. And the business is going very well, he's made quite a bit of money with this restaurant now.
They've had food critics who've written great reviews about them, and so more and more people come to check it out.
The success has made it possible for Albert to open a second restaurant. A small, exclusive sushi place in the Windenburg harbor.
It's doing fine so far, but it seems like people haven't quite discovered it yet.
Johanne has a large group of friends who she hangs out with often. Either to watch movies, eat or just hang around and gossip.
The others see to her as the leader of the group, and she's enjoying the attention and status.
There's one of her club members in particular she enjoys attention from. His name is Karl Ove Blakstad, and he's from a wealthy family who lives nearby.
For now they are keeping their private dates a secret from their friends. They don't want to cause drama in the club.

Do you remember Mira and her son Lennart? They still live in the tiny apartment and are struggling quite a bit. Lennart is a school child now, and Mira have tried and tried to give them an easier and more comfortable life. But with the irresponsible trait she gained when growing up, it's been pretty much impossible for her to succeed at her job in catering. She's still stuck with dishwashing and keeps making mistakes that prevent her from advancing.
So the two of them have to live cramped up together in the tiny flat with no proper bedrooms. This is a constant problem whenever Mira has her neighbor/🐸🐸🐸🐸 call over.
Lennart is a good and patient kid, but the difficult living conditions is making them fight quite a lot.
Mira is now at a point where she sees no other solution than to swallow her pride and make contact with her parents again. She's terrified to do it, she hasn't spoken to them since she ran away as a teenager. But she's a parent herself now, and has to do what is best for her son.
Tara and Kimi are happy to learn that they have a grandson and to be able to reunite the family. They know their relationship with their daughter won't be fixed in a day, so they try to give her the space and time she needs to get used to living with them again.
But they try to bond with Lennart as much as possible.
Lennart also finds this new situation very strange at first. He can't believe he's now living in one of those huge penthouses he's barely spotted from their last apartment. And he has grandparents! Two perfectly fit and loving grandmothers who he never knew about - and who are incredibly rich. It's a lot for him to take in.
His favorite object in his new house is the grand piano. It's such a beautiful instrument, he longs to be able to play it.
Tara and Kimi have two small dogs in their penthouse, Winnie Mandela and Christina. Winnie is lazy and spends a lot of time sleeping or just laying around, but Christina is an active dog who loves to go jogging with Tara.
Kimi still keeps to the roof a lot, where she paints and practices yoga and meditation.
Lennart has his own room for the first time in his life, and it's even a big one. It's the room Mira used to have when she grew up.
At first he has a lot of nightmares here, even though he adores the room. It's just so very different from what he's used to.
But his grandparents are making a huge effort to make him feel at home, especially Kimi is giving him the very best of attention and love.
Children adapt easily, and it doesn't take too long before Lennart feels at home in the penthouse. He becomes good friends with Karim the butler and loves the good food that's always available in this house.
But Mira is struggling. She finally got fired from the kitchen and feels like a complete and utter failure.
She tries to get her energy back by exercising, but it takes a lot of time before she gets any confidence back.
It turns out that the butler is a great person to talk to. Since she can't really bring herself to talk to her parents or son about her problems right now, she finds Karima's company very encouraging.
And of course it helps to see her son fit and happy.
Sigurd is a lucky little toddler to have so much outdoor space to explore. But his parents don't appreciate messes on the lawn.
Since his parents are doing a lot of their work outside, they can easily keep track of him when he's toddling around everywhere.
The family has adopted a cat as well. Her name is Åse, and she's a very independent and free spirited cat who spends most of her time either exploring and hunting in the neighborhood or relaxing on top of high furniture where no one can reach her.
They want to have more children soon and properly renovate the barn, so they're working really hard in the shop to earn enough money.
