Games lags outta nowhere

I dont know what happened but my sims 3 game started to lag really bad.
I havent played it for months and went to play it and boom it lags.
I have nearly all EPs and the game didnt but now it lags.
My sim freezes ingame, interaction take hella long and more.
I disabled university life and it got a bit better,I also deleted the cache.
I could do a factory reset, well i have a folder for factory reset.

Computer specks is huge part of The sims 3 lag. It depends on what worlds you are playing in. If you have Pets you should disable that. Pets makes a lot of lag in the game. Have you ever done Sims 3 Graphic fix?

@foussi - We could better be able to tell you what kind of performance to expect out of TS3 and what kinds of things can be adjusted (if any) if we knew the specs of your computer. If you could, please either provide them or run a full dxdiag report and either paste it into multiple responses here (it will be far too long to fit into one) or use pastebin.com.
    https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/pc/how-to-gather-dxdiag-information

Or let us know if you are playing on a Mac, as that would require a different conversation.

You can actually stop if you had more to post.

I'm sorry, but afraid that this laptop is woefully insufficient to run TS3 at all. Its processor is far too weak, as is its integrated graphics chip, and it is tight on memory (RAM). You may have been fortunate to get the game running in the past, but it was really a matter of time before it stopped running properly especially with all (or any) EPs.

The base game only, with no EPs, may have been a playable possibility before all of the patches that have been released, but I'm afraid even that might be too much for it now. If you force the game to run anyway, you run the risk of overheating this laptop and damaging it.

It might take to TS2 pretty well though, if that is an option for you.
