Can't Buy or Write Comic Books at Uni

Hello,

I'm having an issue with Sims University. When I go to the comic book shop the register is empty, can't buy anything. So I've tried to write a comic book and as soon as i try the sim immediately stops after a second. I've googled the issue but no one else seems to have this problem unless they had a certain speed read mod. I don't have that mod so i don't know what's causing the issue. The only mods i have are nraas. I had Faster/Slower and/or Hidden Skills, but took that one out to see if that caused it.

Could someone possibly help me with this?

I've never heard of this issue. Is it only in one ongoing game or does it persist across all of them? Have you tried bulldozing and replacing the comic book register and/or the comic book store? Does anything change if you remove all mods and clear caches?

What patch level are you on? If 1.67, you might want to re-apply by way of the SuperPatch (don't do this if on 1.69 or a Steam install).

Or you might consider uninstalling and reinstalling the Uni EP.

If none of that helps and you don't get a better answer here, perhaps a post at NRaas to see if anyone else has seen this.

It affected all of my games. I replaced the lot, removed all mods and cleared cache. Apparently I had the wrong version of Written Word/Register Installed; I can now buy Comics again.
