Canceled interactions

Since this newest patch, my game is having a horrible time with canceling interactions. It seems nearly impossible to get a sim to do the simplest task. I find myself having to spam eat interactions just to get them to stay at their plates long enough to actually not die of starvation because they just keep getting back up and going off to do something they don't need at the time. Its not just food but every interaction I try to get them to do! Its not a mods issue as I've taken them all out and done a game repair but it just keeps happening.

I am sorry that you are having these issues,
Try resetting your sims 4 folder and see if that helps. To do that, move your sims 4 folder ( that is in Documents -Electronic Arts - then the sims 4 folder is there ) to the desktop. Then start the game, and a new sims 4 folder will be generated.
Start a new game and test to see if the issue is in that new save game.
Exit the game and then copy back the "options.ini" or "options" file and the "saves" , "screenshots" "tray" "custom music " and "mods" folders from the desktop sims 4 folder to the new sims 4 folder, replacing the new generated file/ folders with the old file/folders from the desktop sims 4 folder

I found the problem and after testing things, it is certainly seeming like the issue. The canceled interactions have to do with the basketball hoop from CL. When it is on the lot, sims will cancel every other interaction in order to go play. Removing it stops the canceled actions every time in my game. So if anyone else is having problems with this, try removing it. Until whatever about the basketball goal is fixed I think it will keep happening when your family has one on the lot with them.

Ooh. I hadn't noticed that part. Now that you mention it, every sim that has the issue has the active trait. The father, daughter and grandson all cancel for basketball but I'm noticing that none of the ones without it do. I'm fine with removing the basketball goal for now! So nice to finally know what and why!
