Ghost Hunter -Profession

So I went back to playing the Sims 3, decided on the ghost hunter career, and well, level 2 starts acting up of the career, sim freezes, then also went to the police station to fulfill the challenge, and low and behold, it never goes away even after I full filled the challenge. Is there any fix yet for this glitch.. or has EA stopped all updates and glitch fixes for this game to as they did for Sims 2?

There hasn't been any development or any kinds of fixes for TS3 since Patch 1.66 was released over three years ago in Jan 2014. The game's development team was disbanded/put to other uses at that time. The patch that came out just after it was trivial and the more recent 1.69 is only concerned with the Origin tie-in and how the game starts up, not how it plays.

There is an ongoing problem with challenges not fulfilling whenever combo rabbit hole lots are involved (ex: police/city hall) and many find that using standalone rabbit holes work out much better. The other fix for misbehaving combo lots, for those not averse to using mods, is in NRaas Overwatch v122 or higher. There are probably a few other things going wrong with that career so am not saying this is a total solution, but the combo lot can't be helping if you happen to have one in your current world.
