Back again with another Build-n-Share Challenge, but with a little twist. The full brief can be found here. The mini brief is below:
Requirements:
- Budget 45k.
- 2 or more bedrooms
- Nice master suite
- Get away room for Journye
- Work room for Rosie
When I do a Build-n-Share Challenge, I usually leave it as that, but I really loved the direction of this brief, so I continued to build upon it; adding in a third bedroom and putting in high end furniture. While I did complete the challenge to the above brief, I wanted to continue to build it to its full potential. From the brief, I envisioned a feminine home with modern updates. I wanted to use ivy on the house, so I thought a great backstory would be an old pub converted into a home where an athletic musician and girly fashion designer could live in cohesion.
Note: The roof trim is CC that I got from MTS.
Features:
- 3 bedrooms
- 4 bathrooms
- Guest suite on main level
- High end kitchen
- Music studio
- Gym equipment
- Fashion Design Studio
- Small garden
- Outdoor firepit
- Golf putting green
@aricarai - I am blown away by how you have built upon the @BuildnShare brief!! The finished build is amazing!! The exteriors are wonderful and the interiors are so well thought out and put together!! Good luck with the challenge xx
The Ivy House looks very nice! Very nice exterior design of the home! The roofing looks great! The ivy looks nice on the exterior walls and the brick wall texture both on the exterior and indoors looks very nice! The outdoors areas look very nice ! Very pretty sitting nook with the seat bench for sims to enjoy resting there with the pretty flowers nearby. The floral greenery trellis covered pergola looks very nice! Sims will enjoy sittiing on the seating in the pergola, enjoying being outdoors in the sunshine.Very nice furnishing of each of the rooms in the home! The fashion design studio is very creatively designed! The clothes rack and mannequins are nice touches there. Sims will enjoy designing clothes on the drafting table. The basement music studio and gym looks great! Sims will enjoy playing the keyboard there, or enjoy using the fitness equipment to keep fit. The design and layout of the kitchen and eat in dining room looks very nice! The hats are a nice touch on the dining area wall.
It is a very nice home!

@rosemow - I don't know how you do it - getting around to everyone to leave such in depth nice comments, but they are so incredibly appreciated. You are so sweet to take the time to write such detailed feedback! Thank you so very much
@aricarai - nope, can't take credit for that one! That was all @ISHTARJMD She writes some pretty awesome briefs!
I absolutely luuurve BuildnShare Challenges. I appreciate you all taking the time to create them and bring the community together with them. Super stoked that ya'll have continued with TS3 challenges too! *big hugs* to you both!
What a great creation @aricarai . Love the landscaping. Some very interesting wall treatments inside. Such cool ideas to arrange the paintings around the post and add the walls hanging behind the clothing rack. Well done on the whole build. Rec'd

Aww thank you so much m'dear! I appreciate the rec!
ETA: Just realized it is on the Exchange! I am so downloading this and know exactly which sim will be living here.
@simgirl1010 - I'm so glad that you will enjoy The Ivy House in game! I hope your little Simmies will be very happy there!
I'd only gotten as far as reinstalling my base game so this gives me the motivation to finish installing the packs and store stuff.
So thankful for players like you who provide us building-challenged players such lovely homes for our sims.
I'm back with something a little different today. MiaSkywalker came up with a cool concept called the Round Robin Build Exchange and although I didn't originally sign up to be involved (because I'm the slowest builder ever), I've been lurking since the beginning. A few weeks ago, lurkers were called upon to unlurk and step up to help out. I volunteered as tribute and had the immense pleasure of being able to build for the lovely ADWilson. The awesome thing about RR Build Exchange is that was a very collaborative process whereby I got feedback and suggestions on my build as I went along, so the it was something that Addy would really enjoy.
Originally, Addy asked for a starter home for two single Sims (§33k) built in Auroa Skies. One main Sim was to be a scientist and the other a nectar maker. Everything was going fabulous well until I completely blew the budget out of the water (surprise, surprise!) and the walk-out basement flooded! I learned that different worlds had different water levels and because of this walk-outs in Aurora Skies are a NO NO! Instead of starting the build over, Addy and I decided to up sticks and move the home to Sunlit Tides. With a different lick of exterior paint (bright red doesn't really suit Sunlit Tides), the home now perfectly suits the surroundings and the Sims.
Features:
- 2 bedrooms
- 2 bathrooms
- Laboratory
- Nectar Cellar
- Bar/Tasting Area
- Garden
- BBQ Gazebo
- Hot tub
- Bonfire
Price: §128, 199 (Oopsy Addy, sorry!)
Built on 60 Paradise Circle in Sunlit Tides, The Aruba Square boasts tranquil views surrounded by serene tropical nature. Purpose built for a scientist (mad or eccentric - you decide) and nectar maker, the laboratory and nectar areas are the focus of this home. Each Sims' area has its own level - the laboratory taking up the upper level, along with an office and the nectar areas along with access to the garden taking up two basement levels. Without triangles or Bermuda in sight, The Aruba Square is an oasis boasting stunning views of the island, giving the feeling of serenity and tranquillity.
Excessive amounts of exterior shots because I luuuuuuuuurve them
Aruba Squared is a very nice home! Very nice exterior of the home! The wall textures and colour give a restful look to the home. Very nice outdoors loungers sitting nook! Sims will have very nice views whilst sitting relaxing there! The outdoors dining pergola is very nice! The greenery covered roofing looks pretty! Sims will enjoy cooiking on the BBQ and eating meals outdoors in the air. The plants, flowers and rocks either sides of the steps in walk in basement area looks very nice! Nice harvestable gsrden nook for sims to enjoy growing plants to use in experiments and for nectar. Very nice furnishing of each of the levels of the home! The blue and white colour of the walls in the kitchen, dining and living rooms looks calming. Very nice tv watching nook! Sims will enjoy relaxing on the L shaped sofa watching tv or reading a book in front of fire and lisfening to stereo music. The green , orange , white and grey colour scheme of the nectar maker's bedroom looks very nice! Very nice patterned walls and bed. The plants are nice touches of nature on the wall. Sims will enjoy relaxing in the hanging chair. The basement nectar machine cellarbroom and taste testing room look great! The brick wall texture is a nice touch in the cellar, . Sims will enjoy making and taste testing nectars there! The green colour of the nectar bar stool counter room is very nice. Very nice wall pattern! The design and furnishing of the science lab and office for the scientist looks very great! Sims will enjoy using the science machine or making potions on the chemistry table. The green sunflowers picture is a nice touch on the wall.
It is a very nice gift home for Addy!

Thank you so much @rosemow! I really appreciate the time you take to comment on every little detail. Nothing escapes your eyes!
Apologies for taking so long to respond, but I had trouble uploading to the Exchange. All fixed now! Thank you very much
I was trawling through tumblr the other day and I discovered...properly...BERRY SIMS! i-heart-pudding (as well as others) was asking for berry sim spouses for the Megalos Bachelorette Challenge so I thought I'd throw my ring in the hat and create one!
The only rules were that the Sim needed to be a two-color berry Sim - choosing either yellow or a slate blue color provided plus another color of my choosing. CC was allowed, so I admit, I went on a bit of a downloading spree (my God, there are some amazing creators out there!).
Prim Rose is a private download until the challenge is over, but I'll be back with a link should anyone want her trouncing around in their game.
At school, Prim Rose was known as the shy bookworm. She could usually be found in the library with her nose in a steamy romance novel or scribbling in her journal, hoping that she could be penning the next bestseller.
Though quiet by nature, Prim longs for a partner to fall hopelessly in love with; blame her books or call her childish if you wish, but Prim believes in fairy tales. She may not be a social butterfly and she may need to be coaxed out of her shell with some good humour and multiple friendly interactions, but Prim is loyal and kindhearted.
If Prim could achieve her dream of becoming a Professional Author while having the love and support of a doting partner (or maybe a cat), all her wants and needs would be fulfilled.
Can she find this all encompassing love and achieve her dream in the Megalos Bachelorette Challenge?
Prim Rose is a very nice berry sim! The colours that you have used for her look very nice! Very nice outfits and hair styles for each of the outfit categories. Her yellow eyes are very nice!
I hope that she goes well in the challenge!

Thank you @rosemow! Lovely of you to stop by and comment on Prim!
Caeruleus Moss is a private download, but I will likely release him at some point!
Caeruleus Moss | latin version of Cerulean | Monster Maker | Twill Aficionado
Although Caeruleus was born in the 20th century, when his parents looked into his eyes, they could tell that he was an old soul. Growing up, he was always told that he was wise beyond his years; in the ways he thought, acted, and dressed.
Caeruleus is a proper gentleman with a penchant for bow ties and manners. There’s only two things he wants in life; a family and his monsters to be a part of that family!
Caereleus Moss looks a very stylishly nice Berry sim! The green colour scheme of his clothing and his hair looks very nice! The photos that you have taken of him look great! It looks great the poses and his facial expressions ! Very nice clothing outfits that you have designed for him to wear.
He looks and sounds like a very nice sim
Those two berry Sims are absolutely adorable. Exactly what CC did you use on them?
I think I would like to place them in DV (that whole town teems of berries), but I would use Cleaner to remove the CC. Just wondering how much of a difference removing that CC will make.
