    I put this question already under "off topic chat" before I saw other forum bugs under this tab, so feel free to delete that one. Anyways, I'm having a bug where I'm now getting notifications for threads that were commented on when I have that ticker unchecked in my preferences. I'm not sure how to make it stop.

      You were most likely tagged directly at some point. That tag will keep notifying you every time someone reposts it using the quote option.
      Only thing you can do really is ask them to cut the chain.
