I normally play for up to 6 hours so if it's midnight, I won't start up the game. I go to bed around 3-4am and like to wind down watching Twitch TV, YouTube, or Netflix at least an hour before that.
When is it too late for you to fire up sims or any other game?
For me, it depends on the game and what time I have to be up the following morning. If it's a work night, I have to be up around 6:15 or so. If it's The Sims 4, 9:30pm is the latest I'll fire it up. I can't play less than two hours at a time.
Project CARS is more physically demanding, so that one I'll start no later than 10pm. It's rare I'll race or practice more than 90 minutes at a time.

I hate going to bed when it's late, which means my latest is 10pm. Call me a grandma all you want! I have trouble being in focus with the game if I'm on any later than that, since I'm so used to a strict schedule that my eyes start drooping.
