    Hello everyone,
    sorry if there is a thread like this already but I googled and could not find one.

    With this thread I am asking for the feature we had in TS3:
    We could put floor tiles on our ceilings and change the look of them. As far as I know we can not do that in TS4 at the moment.

    Here are pictures which show what I mean (from TS3):

    We could easily place floor tiles on the ceiling. Right now the ceilings in TS4 are always white and it really destorys the immersion when you are, for example, making a spooky crypt and then you have a pure white ceiling.

    edit: It seems like this was also possible in TS2!

    So I think it should not be too hard to add to TS4 too. :)

    Please considere putting that in soon. I really miss it and its a small thing but bugs me big time.

      YES! This has been driving me crazy, lately. I really think you loose some mood in a dark room with a stark white ceiling.

      YES PLEASE! I'm really hoping this feature makes a come back! Theres nothing worse than an outdoor flat roof with a white bottom :smiley:

      I agree! I remember in the sims 2 there was an option to toggle the ceilings on and off while the walls were cut away and build mode had a button to go into a 45 degree view so you got clear view of the ceilings

      Oh. Slatted wood ceilings! I have one, painted white, in my kitchen IRL and I love it. It's a big part of the feel of the room. Also, beams would be awesome. And industrial-loft-type looks.

      I really miss being able to decorate the ceilings , the cabins in Outdoor Retreat always look a bit off .

      I agree. In RL ceiling décor can make a room. The problem is that in game play the ceiling is removed and you don't see it.

      You can see the ceiling. I often play on speed 1 and take many many screens of my sims while they are interacting with each other or doing things, so I am very often in the camara modus/walls up. I see the plain awful ceiling very often.

      Anyone who does storytelling is likely to make use of them.
      I prefer to take ingame pics from a low angle, and it's hard to do without a nice ceiling.

      I think the real problem that's preventing the Sims team from adding the ceiling feature is the in-game camera.

      The only way you can see it clearly is using the TAB key, unlike in previous iterations. They NEED to fix the camera first so ceilings can be seen in build/buy mode.

      I can see the ceiling when I am not in camara modus too. The same as it was for me in ts3.
      I always play with walls up so I see them quite often when I watch my sims.

      I use the ts3 camara option in the game. Perhaps its doesnt work with the ts4 option one?

      Whether you can see the ceilings is partially dependent on the size of the room, no? In tiny rooms you can't angle up enough but larger rooms will allow you to see ceilings further away or in rooms seen through arches/doors.

      We now have painted ceilings in the temple of Jungle Adventure, but we can't paint our own ceilings. :(:(

      Yyyeeesss! We need this! I hate all the white ceilings! All the ideas here are beautiful with the ornaments and beams!

      Yeah it drives me nuts because it looks sooooo bad, I can bear with an inside ceiling being white but and outside one is just upseting
