Politician Career or Social Media Career?

Which one do you guys play more often or enjoy more?

I'm in a crunch on which to choose for my sim!

Social media is easier, I think. Politicians have to go around befriending people and asking for votes or if they choose the other path, then they need to tell people about their cause.

Yeah, social media is better imo. I find I enjoy it a lot more than the political career because you don't have to go out and socialize as much.

I would go with politician career, I just love those high heels they get with their job outfit

^ Do you have a screenshot of the heels ? I'm always surprised to find more city living career clothes than I expected, I wish there was a mod to unlock them

I really like the political career.
I've also tried social media...I like the public relations branch. But politician is more fun for me, as it forces my Sim out to get votes,or ask for donations (depending on the branch).

Social media is easier and it pays more. Securing votes in politician career is really annoying (at least for me), it rarely works, I have to secure 20 votes to get to level 10 and I barely managed to secure 11 -.-

I love the social media career, especially Internet Personality. It's a great career if your sim plans on having kids since they can pretty much work from home most of the time, save the few random check-ins you need to do. The politics career is also very fun though, but I'd advise getting that trait that makes sims like you if you use a friendly introduction, as it makes securing votes much, much easier. Also, if you want to avoid loading screens, it's best if your politician sims live in uptown (which is very expensive). Other than that, I prefer both these careers to the critics career as I find it's just very annoying to grind your way up. And grind it is...

hey @happyopi I've just checked my screenshots, but I do not have a very clear view of those high heels. one pair is definitely base game heels with the ankle strap, but I'm not sure about the other pair. they somewhat look like pointy heels from luxury stuff pack but at the same time somewhat different. I'll check in cas next time I play.

    anyways, more about careers:
I have a couple, guy is into politics and girl is into social media. and his career is more interesting and really goes well with friend of the world aspiration. also high heels goes great with his world united cause, everybody knows when you get the right shoes you can conquer the world :joy: also, I created a political party for him, using club system, so there was no problem about securing votes, butler is always on top of the list to support him anyways. although I still cannot forget that friendly interaction in sauna, it overlapped some happy memory of my childhood
social media requires less attention, depending on the task, it might take only a sim hour and it's done, so it sometimes too fast, and doesn't feel like a job was done properly.

The political career is one-sided and biased. I wish they devs would have kept their own personal politics out of it and either gave both right and left sided issues full coverage in the form of causes or none at all. You can only campaign for real-world leftist causes in game.
