So I am thinking of buying a.new budget video card that will run sims 4 like butter and have gorgeous graphics my card is fine that I have but I feel I can do better any suggestions
I dont think the brand name matters. Its all about how much memory your computer has. Because how well the game runs on high settings depends on it. Im planning on buying a laptop with AMD graphics.
You don't have to buy the absolute latest card, but it's good to think of the future, so not too old either. I recently upgraded my graphics card to an Nvidia geforce gtx 1060. It's not the latest nvidia card, but the prices drop pretty fast after release since new cards are coming in like lightning these days - it wasn't even half of what the newest cost. Figure out what your budget is, and get the newest card you can get for that price. A card is supposed to last a couple of years, unless you always buy the latest games, then you might have to upgrade maybe every other year.
Allons-y!

That's going to depend on your motherboard, cpu, power supply, and case. Slapping a card in isn't that simple. As rose said, ask in the tech section and provide your current specs. It would be helpful to know your computers model number on top of that.
