HTTP 500 Error

«1
Since sometime yesterday, I've been getting this message every so often when on the sims forums (screenshot below). Hitting Reload loads the intended page properly. It's a lot like the forum maintenance error in that regard, I think.

I clear my browsing history/everything pretty often, so I don't think it's to do with that. And I have been seeing a number of people with double and triple posts in the last 24 hours or so, more so than usual, so I wonder if it's not just me getting this error.

It happens to me often, too. Why is this happening? It's so annoying.

A little tip for people on how to avoid double/triple-posting if you're submitting your post and then getting a page error: Before you click Reload, Re-submit (whatever the button may be called) open a new tab and navigate to the thread where you were posting. Is your post there? If yes, you don't need to Reload/Re-submit/etc. If no, go back to the tab where you submitted the post and try again.

If you are posting on a mobile device, you may want to skip all of the above steps, since it's probably too much of a pain to go check, and just mash that Re-submit button three or four times until your phone freezes up on you and you have to call that IT number the guy at the store gave you. (I'm kidding, obviously. IT guys don't exist.)

In all seriousness: Sometimes with page errors, it will display an error, but the post was submitted successfully anyway. When that happens and you hit the button to try again, you end up posting again. The only way to know for sure is to check where it should have been posted.

I don't get the 500 error, but about every third page I try to load, I get the http:\address of the thread and a blank page. I have to hit the 'refresh' to actually load the page. It's been doing this for well over a week. Also, sometimes when I hit a 'Like', 'Awesome' or 'Insightful', it gives me an error, something like "There's been an error in processing, try again later" and it doesn't process my click.

I've been getting exactly the same as Simberella777 . Every few page clicks or so I just get loaded a blank page and have to refresh, and the problem has been persisting for about a week or so.

I'm having this issue also. I did read somewhere, on the forums, they will be switching servers or something. Don't quote me on that, I can't seem to locate the page where I read that. :#

This issue is definitely a server issue on the sites part - some bad configuration that their maintenance people have to fix. It is nothing we visitors can do much about on our end.

It depends on what I'm using when I'm viewing this site. If I view it on my PC, then I get the HTTP 500 Error. If I'm on my Nook Tablet, then it's just a white page with nothing on it and I have to hit the Refresh button to get the page to show up.

I'm getting this every few minutes and have to refresh a page. It happens when I want to read a thread, or if I want to go back to a thread that I get a notice it has been updated/commented on. It's getting annoying.

I also have this "blank page" issue. No error 500, though.

    Hello.

I've been told that the issue causing the 500 error has been resolved. Please reply to this thread if you still encounter it. Thank you.

Pinging @SimGuruNick and @SimQAMadacat also for awareness.
If I don't actively respond here, I'm sorry. I can get a bit busy over at https://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/ct-p/the-sims-4-en
