Hello.
I have a Sim in the Detective career and I had to issue an APB. Had to look for a suspect who was a male, young adult, long-sleeved shirt, slacks, blond hair, evil. Couldn't find this guy anywhere and I tried several times. However, there was a common element most of the time, wherever I went: The Grim Reaper!

During the last APB, I ran into Grimmy again. And I decided to arrest him just for the kicks.
What do you know? Grim Reaper was THE suspect! There goes the description and yadda-yadda... what ever happened to THAT?!

Nevermind that, but when I arrived beck at the police station, there was no suspect to be interrogated.

I guess my game is borked, although I repaired it a couple of days ago. I'm really curious what's gonna happen the next day and if Grimmy will show up to admit his crimes.

I am sorry that you have had this issue with the Grim Reaper being the suspect! When your sim returns to work the next day, he may be at the career lot

New day, went to work, still no suspect to interrogate.

Issued an APB, went back to the police station.

Still no one to interrogate.

I think I'm probably going to quit the detective career and find another job for my sim, because I don't think he'll ever get that promotion.

careers.promote Detective
to promote your sim to the next level. You need to type in testingcheats true to start with.

@rosemow He can't do much detective work, since I cannot cancel the current case(I really wish they would add an option to do this in the future if a bug like this happens and can't advance because of it) and well, it's THE GRIM REAPER who already fills a role in the game and that doesn't help. And even if I cheat to promote my sim, I would still be left with the case and would have to keep on cheating my way up.

I made him quit the job and re-join. Now he's back to lvl 2. -.- I hope Grim will not reap my sim's career again.

So far the career was still bugged after I re-joined, so I chose a new one altogether. Which is sad, because I rather enjoy active work days.

I'll play Detective again after I hear they fixed the suspect bug.

That career has been buggy for a long time for me. Like suspects not showing up, suspects not being at the station the next day
