Ok, time for another major update, lolz! When I jumped back on the Gallery after being away for a while, I ran into a bunch of fun and interesting sim challenges, plus Vanderetro had just released a new gallery pose pack, and I remembered having such fun creating four brothers for my battle of the hair colours. Et voila, another foursome of brothers was born!
Challenge: Hot In Smoking
Story: Declan may be smoking hot in his tux, but ladies beware, his eyes won't be on you, they will be on your diamond earrings and the pearls around your neck. That's right, Declan may be a romantic, but he's first and foremost a kleptomaniac and a thief, looking to become the richest mansion baron in town.
Challenge: Bad Boy
Story: Crime doesn't pay they say, but so far Larson is riding the Money Express. His kleptomanic brother Declan Thrace has set his eyes on Larson's fortune though! Tried to connect the stories of the brothers, so thought it would be fun to start a little competition between these two criminals.
Challenge: Cute with Tattoos
Story: His brothers may be walking a path of crime, Seth has chosen to become a penniless but honest artist. He's got them beaten on one thing though: he's rocking those #tattoos like no other!
Challenge: Love White Challenge
Story: And finally there's the oldest of the Thrace Brothers. Cole prefers to see things on the bright white side of life, ain't no one gonna bring this Dancer down! The challenge here was to make a sim who was dressed entirely in white. Think I made it through all of his outfits except swimwear, a little black creeped in there.

And yay, results are in! Both Declan and Cole came in first and Larson got an honorary creativity mention.
Up next are two more sims for my supernatural/superheroes story. Charlie here has psychic abilities. He can sense other people's intensions, motivations and emotions. Is someone sincere or lying? Looking for a fight or angry for other reasons? ... He also has the gift of premonition. So don't think about crossing him, he'll know it before you do.
Angelo is all about a healthy lifestyle. He works out vigorously, eats healthy (plus he's a vegetarian) and teaches others how to live a healthy life. Comes as no surprise then that when he developed a special ability it cames in the shape of healing and regeneration. Thinking about party based RPG games, you do need a few good fighters, but you also never enter a battle without a healer by your side!
Apart from that, Angelo also entered a sim CAS challenge (create a sim that rocked a certain t-shirt), and he won the male category in it.
Following the Trent family, I wanted to play around more with SakuraLeon's family gallery poses. The first result of that are this single dad Sebastien and his little girl Mireille. I wanted to colour coordinate their outfits and landed on a black-and-white look for them. Now initially, they were going to be part of a gay family of two dads and two children, but unfortunately these poses don't work for two adult guys or girls, so Sebastien ended up being single. I only afterwards noticed that one element of that had crept in though, I had set him to be the one who got pregnant haha, and apparently he still has that feature. Oh well, we'll just add that to his back story.

Another entry for Rosemow's One Room One Week One Theme challenge! Here's the description: Philip is a fisherman . He enjoys spending the day outdoors just restfully doing some fishing. When he gets home, he then enjoys a delicious meal using the fish has caught. Fishing is his favourite activity to do, and he is looking to redesign his kitchen to reflect that he is a fisherman. He enjoys spending time in the sea, river and lakes settings. Could you please help him? He would be pleased if you could design a kitchen for him !
I was kinda stumped for ideas on this week's challenge, until I remembered, about twentysomething challenges ago, we were asked to build a study for a bookworm fisherman named Philip! So I went back to the two rooms I built for that one and took inspiration from those to build a kitchen, and open plan dining room, that could fit into the same house in colour scheme and design. I really wanted to go for the name "Something Fishy This Way Comes", but unfortunately that name was to long, so I settled on "Something Fishy Going On"
So here it is, my fisherman's contemporary kitchen where "something fishy is going on" lolz, in yellow/teal/black/white colour scheme.
Overview (ignore the hallway, that was just quickly thrown on for gameplaying, couldn't have the entry arches from the dining room opening up to the outside ):

(wish we had an "open curtain" interaction and animation for our sims, as these curtains fit perfectly for the kitchen, but well, makes it kinda dark during the day )
The living room, with up first my "fish art", haha, not my most attractive MOO work, but hoping it will appeal to a fisherman sim!

In the other challenge, Philip was a bookworm, so had to add a bookcase and some extra books into this room as well:
For the same purpose, I added a little cosy reading nook too:
And finally, the dining table, with a little fishy something underneath it. That dingy little carpet from Get Together was the only thing I could find to represent the fish's eye, but it looks rather out of place lolz. Feel free to ignore it's there.

Hm, Freddi wasn't very happy with the quality of the meal, so he offered his dad that he'd clean up, as long as Philip promised he'd study a bit to improve his cooking skill.

Don't know why, but these last few days a lot of cowboys have popped up on the Gallery hehe, so I got inspired to add my own to the mix! Luke here is a Loner, enjoying the solitary life on the ranch, but there's one piece of the puzzle missing: that special someone to share this rural life with him. Got his name from a famous comic book from where I live: Lucky Luke in which the main villains, four escaped convicts, are named the Daltons. Mix those together and you get his full name Luke Dalton.

Each of your sims are very nice! You are so very creative in how you design your sims and in the background details that you write for them! Congratulations on Declan , Cole and Angelo winning the challenges!
Something Fishy Going on is such a very creatively designed room! There are so many very creative furnishing ideas! The fish shaped rug underneath the dining table and the turtles either sides of it looks so very great! The small circular rug looks great as the fish eye! The fish wall art that you have created through using moo on the dining area wall looks very creatively nice! The fish rewards display cabinet with the mounted fish and water fountains features looks so very creative, and is so effective! The sun wall decor are a nice touch either side of the feature. Very nice yellow, blue, black and white colour scheme of the room. It looks great the way you have combined this new room with the other rooms. The room looks very stylishly nice. Very nice cooking area! The shape of the island sink and bar stool counter looks great! The blue floor rug under the counter is a nice touch. The type of blue blinds used suits the overall feel and look of the room so well! The wall utensils, wall knives, , fruit bowl, jars, condiments and plants in the fridge nook, and the paper towel are nice kitchen touches there. It is helpful for Philip that a gourmet cooking skill book is on the counter! The black colour of the cabinets on the yellow walls looks so stylish! Very nice corner aquarium nook in the dining area! Philip will enjoy looking at his caught fish that are in the aquarium , whilst he is enjoying sitting at the dining table eating his fish dish. The ship on the top of the aquarium and the fish on the wall are great touches there. Very nice armchairs corner nook for him to enjoy sitting relaxing after his meal and reading a book. The ship looks great on the bookcase wall, and it is a nice touch that the fish plaque is placed proudly on the wall! The plants are nice touches of green and nature in the room. Freddi is so cute!

Actually, I thought you'd end up with an interesting roof line and was trying to picture it. If you'd like me, I can try it out in my game to see if I can get the roof to work. I love experimenting with the roof, though I'm not sure yet what style of house you'd end up...it would be very interesting! Makes me wish I had built some interesting shaped rooms so I could turn them into a house.
Feel free to do so @illusie ! I'm absolutely terrible at roof lines, so definitely could use some pointers in that direction, thank you. If I would ever do a house for Philip the fisherman, I think it would be a modern one, as the rooms I've made so far also have a more contemporary feel (at least that's what I was going for lolz ). And I'd probably move the rooms around again, as I'm still missing a living room which I would place downstairs and then move the Little Mermaid bedroom up one floor and add a full bathroom and a bedroom for Philip to that.

Thank you @illusie ! The rooms might work in a classic exterior/interior modern renovation style house as well. Just mentioned modern architecture as I think that's how I would do it at the moment (seeing that that avoids most of the roofing problems ). I'll be curious to see what you will come up with!
Abigail is my entry for the sim challenge of the Quality Control Contest 51. Here's the challenge's description: Abigail is a nerd to the bone she has loved studying her whole life, she now works as a teacher at the local school and tutors students out of school hours. As for her looks well she fits the nerd title well with her nerdy looks and nerdy style. She is a very smart lady and studies everything, if there is something to learn she will learn it and master it which makes her quite handy to have around. Abigail is not happy when shes not learning something new. She always sends her students home with a new book to read and then they discuss it in the next session to see what they have learnt. She also heads the local geek club where all the geeks of the town get together once a week to discuss everything thats geek!
Totally overanalyzed the description lolz, looking for clues to Abigail's traits and aspiration and what each and every one of her outfits would look like. And here are the results haha!
Traits:
- Geek: think the description's pretty clear about Abigail being a geek and loves all things' geek!
- Bookworm: Abigail gets most of her knowledge and studying from books, plus she also loves to sent the students she tutors home with a book and enjoys discussing what they have learnt in the next session.
- Insider: the third one was the trickiest one to decide on, but Abigail being the head or president of the local geek club made me settle on the Insider trait (these sims love being in clubs and tend to be happiest when surrounded by their friends (or in this case, other geeks )
Aspiration
- Nerd Brain (this sim wants to be both book smart and handy): the description was pretty clear that Abigail wanted to be "book smart", but I wasn't sure about the handiness part of the aspiration, until I noticed the word "handy" is right there in the write up lolz, just used in a different meaning ("which makes her quite handy to have around") . Have I said already that I really overthought my version of Abigail?
Outfits: (everyday, formal, athletic, sleep, party and swim wear)
Ok, ready for the reasoning behind these outfits? (feel free to skip these lolz )
- Everyday: My interpretation of Abigail was that's she's not exactly a fashionista (nor does she care to be one), she simply likes to wear comfortable clothes. So I ended up going with a cardigan, simple jeans and functional shoes. As for the colours, I figured Abigail again would prefer simpler, softer colours, nothing bold or attention catching, yet with a slightly feminine touch. So she's wearing a lot of faded/soft purple/red/pinks combined with browns/white/black and in this case blue (as that's the most common colour for jeans ). She's wearing a little bit of simple make up (all in natural colours), has an easy to maintain hairstyle and a watch (cause well, teachers are supposedly pretty punctual ).
- Formal: I figured Abigail wouldn't really know what to wear to formal occasions, so I imagined her to turn to the only source she knows and copy her mother's formal attire. So her formal outfit and hairstyle is slightly old fashioned for a young girl as her, but keeps her preferred colours. She also wears a golden necklace and watch as that's what she believes jewelry is for: only to be worn on special occasions.
- Athletic: Nothing eyecatching or out of the ordinary, her sports wear outfit features neutral colours and purple, as she's not one who wants to stand out in the gym. Wearing glasses can be quite cumbersome while working out, so I took off her glasses for this outfit and for ease of comfort, I chose the hairstyle with the two little ponytails.
- Just had to add the t-shirt with the babychick with glasses and a book in one of her outfits, and figured her sleep wear would be the place to do it! Just, such a perfect t-shirt for a geeky, bookworm nerd. I combined it with a simple shorts as again, she would wear what she feels comfortable in.
- Party wear: I associated her party wear mostly with her being the head of the geek club and hanging out with her club friends. So again, it's an outfit where she would feel comfortable in, has her usual colours, but is notched up a bit in style compared to her everyday wear as she is after all the president of the geek club. So for this outfit she has put more effort in her hairstyle, is wearing a simple piece of jewelry and has put on some fashionable, yet comfortable shoes and combined with a pair of jeans that she feels is too casual to wear in her function as a teacher.
- Swim wear: I figured Abigail would not be bold enough, nor fashion confident enough to wear a bikini to the beach or public pool, so I chose one of the one piece bathing suits for her. The palm tree print seemed geeky enough for me and the deep purple linked this outfit to her night wear t-shirt. She's wearing sun glasses as she's not exactly a regular sunbather and feels slightly insecure out of her comfortable daily outfits.
Hehe, apologies for the longish explanations! Now, for the screenshots for the challenge's entry, I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone and make Abigail one of the playtesters as well for a room I was building: namely a patio for kids to relax and play on. Figured this would be as good a place for Abigail to tutor her students, and also for her geek club to hang out on occasion.

Abigail is very pretty! It was very nice reading the background details /reasons for your choices of her traits, aspiration and her outfits. You have put such a lot of work into designing her, and choosing her outfits. The pictures of her tutoring her pupil is very nice It is a very nice picture of her and her fellow geek club menbers sitting together reading books on the sofa. The patio looks very nice!

- Everyday: My interpretation of Abigail was that's she's not exactly a fashionista (nor does she care to be one), she simply likes to wear comfortable clothes. So I ended up going with a cardigan, simple jeans and functional shoes. As for the colours, I figured Abigail again would prefer simpler, softer colours, nothing bold or attention catching, yet with a slightly feminine touch. So she's wearing a lot of faded/soft purple/red/pinks combined with browns/white/black and in this case blue (as that's the most common colour for jeans
- Formal: I figured Abigail wouldn't really know what to wear to formal occasions, so I imagined her to turn to the only source she knows and copy her mother's formal attire.
- Athletic: Nothing eyecatching or out of the ordinary, her sports wear outfit features neutral colours and purple, as she's not one who wants to stand out in the gym. Wearing glasses can be quite cumbersome while working out, so I took off her glasses for this outfit and for ease of comfort, I chose the hairstyle with the two little ponytails.
- Just had to add the t-shirt with the babychick with glasses and a book in one of her outfits, and figured her sleep wear would be the place to do it!
- Party wear: I associated her party wear mostly with her being the head of the geek club and hanging out with her club friends. So again, it's an outfit where she would feel comfortable in, has her usual colours, but is notched up a bit in style compared to her everyday wear as she is after all the president of the geek club.
- Swim wear: I figured Abigail would not be bold enough, nor fashion confident enough to wear a bikini to the beach or public pool, so I chose one of the one piece bathing suits for her. The palm tree print seemed geeky enough for me and the deep purple linked this outfit to her night wear t-shirt. She's wearing sun glasses as she's not exactly a regular sunbather and feels slightly insecure out of her comfortable daily outfits.

And completely off topic, just love how sims can sometimes completely catch you off guard with their 4th wall breaking, picture perfect posing moments.
