I want pet shows in the Park again.... To dress up my dogs/cats in weird clothes. To make Kitty/Puppy videos and share them... to have pet dates and A Pet Rescue job and .... )
*If they're not control able, please have the codes so we can control them if we want. I LOVED the codes in TS2 and put them in the Startup.
As much as I want pets, I want them to do more with current life stages first. With the introduction of toddlers, I have a feeling a generations expansion will be next so I'm lookin forward to that
Mostly with pets though, I want active careers for it. I want to have my sim be a veterinarian or run an animal shelter. For teens/elders, I want them to be a dog walker/sitter. It'll be cute too if they add in animal parks that you can take your pets to, I'd totally put one up in San Myshuno for all those poor apartment bound pets!
I think it would be cute to have small animals. Lizards, bunnies, birds. & they just happen to get out of there cage and get lost. And a automatic moodlet causes them to find them.
I want all in game fish tanks upgraded with options to feed and clean the tank and new larger tanks. I'd also like to see salt water tanks added with coral rocks starfish that moves around the walls and many new fish types to pick from.
Sims 4 went from "You Rule" to "One of the stories we want you to tell"
Err well .. I never really, really liked pets in previous iterations. They're just weird, idk. So what I want to see is pets game play I can actually enjoy, even though I'm not entirely sure what that means at this point. Something that would make the EP very appealing to me though is the addition of: new traits (preferably more than one) and new jobs (pet shop owner & veterinarian).
Kinda hoping for a slider scale for size instead of set sizes so a Great Dane can be the size of a Great Dane and my Maltese can be tiny like a Maltese. I am also hoping for far more customizable coats, so my standard poodle looks like my standard poodle and is not running around in a show clip like all the other poodles in Simland. Honestlymost poodles are not clipped like that.
Cats. Really, anything and everything to do with cats. I adore them.
Socialising kittens (and puppies!) would be a pretty great feature. It's a really important time in their development and having a scared animal come around to trusting you is a great feeling.
My number one wish is a horse, I wouldn't mind if it comes in a separate pack. I love all animals, but right now I'm thinking how fun it would be for my sims to have different birds, rabbit or even a turtle. I would like the dogs and cats to be a bit less needy than TS2 pets. I'm not sure if I would want pet jobs back, it was never my favourite in TS2 and I don't think they could make it more appealing to me. I hope we will see passerbys walking their dogs and - I want to say cats too, but it would be closer to a sim just hanging outside with cat on the leash, might not count as a passerby... a crazy cat lady NPC perhaps?
Id like to be able to run a pet store but also breed up pets and be able to sell them to others. Itd be fun if they would add a training system where you can teach, example, your dog to roll around and then be able to perform in competitions to win prices. Like the best looking pets, freestyle with dogs or something.
Besides cats and dogs, I also want more small animals (hamsters, ferrets, etc.) and birds and other reptiles.
I'm also curious about the animals selection. Since we don't have CAST anymore, we won't be able to customize the fur and type of animal. I hope there is a very large selection to choose from.
EDIT: I also wanted to say, a vet career would be awesome too. We need more careers and not having a vet in the sims 3 pets seemed like a huge missed opportunity.
I would happy if just cats and dogs are included and made well (I liked the sims 3 pets, so like that or better) I am not picky in that aspect xD
Else guinea pigs, birds, bunnies, snakes, horses. To be honest I don't really mind any kinds of pets, just as long as at least cats and dogs are in it, anything else is a bonus to me.
Right now I just want adorable kitties and doggos that my adorable Toddlers interact with in adorable (and typical Toddler) ways. Anything else is bonus. I'm not usually a huge Pets fan in the game, though I kinda liked the Sims 2 pets. But Toddlers has me really wanting them for my little ones.
Also: I would like a cat personality option to include "lap cat" which might also be "keyboard cat". The cat my son lives with (it belongs to a roommate) is a keyboard cat. And he's a PC gamer. He's got to know the cat very, very well.

We've had pet content so many times before in the past. This will be the fourth pack surrounded all around pets through the iterations of The Sims. They should, while giving us dogs, cats, and horses, really take the EP on a different spin.
if It's just cats and dogs, then definitely a wide variety.
I also want the ability to play as just a household of animals. I shouldn't need to depend on a human to survive.
So after you exit cas, you can choose a lot, but you don't need to pay anything. since basically you're highjacking an entire lot.

I'd like those separate so we can have morebetter housepets stuff and morebetter rural farming life, ideally. I worry that putting pets and farming together means a way reduced farming system or mediocre pets when it comes to gameplay But I also worry that we won't get farms. I think they'd be really popular, though!

@luthienrising May I ask what interest you in a farm EP? I mean, wouldn't Farming Simulator 15 (for example) be better since they focus on that? I am just wondering

I want a rural living EP. Farm living isn't only raising animals and crops then selling them, any more than city living is only getting on the subway to work and back or family life is only toddler-training. A Sims farming pack would be no more like Farming Simulator than Sims Pets is like having a Tamagotchi in your pocket or Sims family life is like carrying an egg around all day for your family-studies class.

I don't have an exotic wishlist. I just want breeding to be possible. That was always fun.

Excuse me but what news?

Ideas on how to improve babies.
