What is the best computer that I can get that is less than 500 that have the requirements?
I don't think you can. The game is very CPU heavy which means you need a pretty decent computer to run it well. You're better off saving your money (or selling your other computers, if possible) to buy a good PC than to by something below the requirement and then it just gets damaged along the way. That's why the tech helpers here always recommend something about $600+/$700+.
@DeKay are gaming pc only for games? What if I wanted to use the Internet for hw
I have a gaming laptop and yes, you can use use it for homework and surfing the web like what I'm doing right now. A gaming PC is just able to handle heavier tasks, so yes it will be able to handle light tasks as well.

@kristamariesimmo I'm not certain over the exchange rate but I got my computer for just under £400. However it is best to get one that meets the recommended specs (more support for expansion packs both current and future ones).... I didn't.
I was in a similar position as you a couple of years ago, i had my own computer plus the family one and none of them could play The sims 4, so i went and got one custom built for me that went over the required specs (lower specs needed plus cheaper to buy but more for base game only) and now just over a year later I am upgrading my computer for the same amount of money as I originally bought it. Even though it is playing really well on ultra graphics it won't last for future EPs, plus i can't play the sims 3 very well, which is important to me.
I just thought i'd share since i know how tempting it is to go for something cheaper to play as soon as possible which is fine short term but it ends up being more expensive in the end. (If i waited a bit longer I could have bought a £800 computer for what i've spent and had a lot less hassle)
Anyway, I hope it gets all sorted out for you and you get to play the sims soon
@Supersoph13 thank you for the advice. I truly appreciate it. As much as it pains me to spend the kind of money, I will do it. Hopefully by February or March I will have enough to buy a new one. I really want to continue playing and now having toddlers and soon vampires come out when I can't play it. It hurts but I know there is a reason behind it. I will update as soon as I can save enough money. Thanks again and have good day.

You're welcome. I hope you can get one as soon as possible to. Sometimes its a good thing to not play the new content straight anyway - gives them some time to fix bugs and release new patches I wish you well
@rosemow thank you for everything. I'm not the best at budgeting, but I will save at least 700 to buy a new computer and ask for advice on the proper one. I will keep you updated.
