Service sim and wedding problems

Ugh so when I hire a mixologist on any lot, they never show up. When I try to select the command again, it's greyed out saying there is already a mixologist on the lot.

Next - weddings are still total failures. Every wedding I've tried to have at san myshuno center park has been a travesty. Service sims (mixologist and caterer and musician) never show up. I can't cut a wedding cake after my sims give up and make it themselves. The fireworks don't go off either after the ceremony- they went off when my lot loaded for the event the last time.

I'm not holding my breath on this being fixed any time soon anymore. I'm very frustrated with all the broken little parts of the game. We spend so much money on all of the combined parts - we should not have a consistently broken game.

With the issue with the fireworks not working correctly, it would be good to post feedback on this AHQ EA site thread that refers to the issue.

With your other issues with mixologists not turning up , and service NPCs not arriving at weddings, if you have cc/mods in your game, move your mods folder to the desktop. Then start the game and test to see if the issues are still there.

Repairing the game may help if the issues remain, To do that, right click on the sims 4 picture in Origin and click repair.

If you still have issues,try resetting your sims 4 folder and see if that helps. To do that, move your sims 4 folder ( that is in Documents -Electronic Arts - then the sims 4 folder is there ) to the desktop. Then start the game, and a new sims 4 folder will be generated. Exit the game and then copy back the "options.ini" or " options " file and the "saves" , "screenshots" "tray" "custom music " and "mods" folders from the desktop sims 4 folder to the new sims 4 folder, replacing the new generated file/ folders with the old file/folders from the desktop sims 4 folder

I'm glad I'm not the only one who's had issues with hiring staff for events. It's been that way since the beginning, so I just got used to expecting my sims to do it all for any party they threw.

Last night I tried holding a wedding in San Myshuno park and it was almost a disaster! Bartender, caterer and musician - none of them showed up. The fireworks went off when everyone arrived on the lot and then I couldn't set them off again after the wedding ceremony. My groom had to scramble into the kitchen to bake the wedding cake and the bride had to serve drinks, food and play the piano to entertain guests. Luckily I had a really talented couple!

I forgot to mention that I have absolutely no cc and no mods in my game, so that's not part of my issue.

Wow sounds like my same exact experience! I'm just so frustrated that these features are just unusable!

Hi rosemow - I always appreciate your kind suggestions, I just don't really want to have to post multiple places. This is the bug section, so I thought it was relevant to post here. I guess if it's been open on that thread since 2014 and still hasn't been addressed, it doesn't do me much good to post it either place to be honest. Thanks

By adding your feedback on the AHQ EA threads about issues, it brings all the feedback on the same or similar issues together in one spot and helps the developers when working out a fix for issues.
You don't need to,post there though if you don't want to. It is good that you posted about the issues here
