Sims 4 Universty EP or GP ?

im kinda Torn between if University should be a game pack or a tradional EP due to the one idea i had of Sims getting there college education a two pronged approach they either go to college like in the EPs in the past or go to a local community college that works like a career rabbithole.

I think I'd prefer it to come with its own world that we could go in anytime. I love new worlds-can never have too many y'know. I think it'd help the sims team get out a lot of their partying ideas as well.

I can see maybe why people wouldn't want that though. I'm a big fan of the perpetually spring-summertime worlds because they're just so pretty, but I think others would prefer a spooky world or a more run down city world or something else-but I don't really see that suiting a University EP. So if they made another world like Willow Springs I can see why they might get some backlash-I'd like it though.

University could do well in a GP I believe. Dine Out and Spa Day are both awesome GPs, I really see GTW as more of a GP as well-so I think Uni could pass for a GP although they may end up calling it an EP. I haven't experienced TS3 University, but I've seen mods that let you follow your sims to school.

In a University EP/GP I hope to see periods of down time-just like in college. Something would signal the beginning and end of the break period (which would be a couple hours long or so) and then you could explore the lot and talk to other sims, explore dorms, get in some trouble maybe? Idk but the constant tasking in GTW was fun but I'd appreciate some "recess" time for Uni sims. If not, then the ability for your Uni sim to "travel to University" through their phone, and then they can mess around with other sims (woohoo mess around included). That'd be really neat.

I would say EP but with a whole educational system, instead of just university. I want to go to school too, and I'm a bit tired of the highly stereotypical university, so I think expanding it to other ages would give it a new spin, while still explore the same theme.

I think it should be in a game pack. A university really isn't big enough for an EP.

I think they could do a lot with University, so I'd say an EP would be more likely. Personally though, I hope they don't do Univeristy for a while. It's one of those packs that I play college once, then don't really touch it again. That said, I think with TS4's world system, switching between worlds would mean that a sim being at college wouldn't mean the rest of the world freezes. Also, we'd hopefully be able to switch between college student and non-college sim. Like Outdoor Retreat. That I could get behind.

I've always loved University Eps in other iterations so I'd want the full experience.

It should be in an EP in the past. If it is just a 'Community College' then that would be another short cut.

A game pack featuring one new community lot that you can visit only, watch your Sim sit in a lecture with the interactions copied from TS3 while the mascot is brought out doing the recycled college dance.

Nah, it should be an EP. Even though it would be more like TS2 that TS3 with the closed world setting, it would be a great shame to see such a great EP reduced to just a GP

Would love to see a University added to the game! It's something I really miss from sims 2 and it always seemed to give young adult abit more to do before starting a career. Would love to see frat houses, cheer clubs and most of all dorm living.

the way i see it Dorms can be like in Sims 2 university and can only be built in the college world unlike sims 4 city living that had restricted apartments.

I want an education EP with an ACTIVE teacher career and a load of school items to build your own school, create your own uniforms, teams, mascots, classes and school programs.

that sounds more like a School version of Dine out.

I vote GP, since both active careers (such as going to a lecture) and doing homework (studying, doing assignments) are both gameplay systems that already exist in TS4, and a university pack would just be expanding on this gameplay instead of adding in brand-new systems.

Plus, how big do university campuses really need to be? A Granite Falls-sized world (if not slightly bigger) seems pretty decent to me. We don't need another Windenburg or San Myshuno.

All we need is space for a library lot (with the option to use a library in the other worlds if necessary), a couple of specialised classrooms depending on the Major (say, Science, Law and Humanities - which would be drama or art, essentially), as well as one or two Dorms (which could easily reuse the apartment system) and one or two Frat/Sorority houses, and a hidden Secret Society lot. Have the lots separated by a quad where all the students hang out, and you've got a decent-sized campus.

Maybe a football field or something too, instead of the usual Big Park. Trombones/Trumpets as a new instrument for band geeks, Cheerleading and Football as a new Fitness activity, and voila! That's the college experience in a nutshell.

Since people usually go to university in the fall after they graduate from highschool it would be Coll to make it a fall themed world.

the more I think about it. Your pack idea would work it would break new ground the Uni theme is starting to getting stale after 2 sims games so a Full School System EP would work better and even complement a Generations pack for sims 4.

If we got a GP version, we wouldn't have much less things. So my choice would be a ep.

There's no way it would work as a GP. They probably have to give us a new "University" world and that alone is too big for a GP. The world we got with OR was small and besides that, we didn't get much with that GP. University adds a lot of gameplay, it's not just a few new objects and activities and that's it.

I like University but I hope we'll get something new with it this time around. Like an Education EP that adds school too. Would love to follow kids and teens to school, go to Prom, do sports, be a cheerleader, do after school activities like ballet, that sort of thing. I know there's a school mod already, but it's not really the same because there's no new gameplay.

    Expansion Pack

Far too broad and space-consuming thematic to fit into a GP, GamePacks work for smaller and focused but also complex themes such as destination worlds such as Beach for example or gameplay-heavy venues such as a Movie Set.

I would say in a GP if it's just university (meaning a new world dedicate to university and a rabbit hole for class time, this kind of stuff totally suit in a GP, diploma and 2/3 new career).
And in a EP if they don't put any rabbit hole for class time, no rabbit hole for the new career (or like the one in Get to Work or City Living),add private school for children and teen, out-of-school activity (like in the sims 3) and other idea.
Basically School update & university EP

University has always been one of my favourite EPs. I loved it in Sims2 and had many story lines going. A chance to get ahead in careers or find friends/soul mates or just have fun! It took a little while to enjoy the Sims3 EP but it also became one of my favourite places to take my sims. This would be my wish for the next Sims4 EP otherwise my sims are missing a complete life experience that so many in the real world are taking.
