Really weird glitches

Several months ago I got a new computer, built by a techie friend especially to play Sims 3. At first everything was great. Now the game runs really slow and has really weird glitches such as misshapen bodies, can't interact with other characters, and can't leave the lot because something is the path but nothing is there. Any ideas on how to help?

Are you playing with CC or mods? Have you downloaded anything into the game recently?

What world are you playing and what lot?

Have you tried deleting your cashe package files.? These are temporary and will regenerate every time you play. It rids the game of some bugs. I delete mine every time before I start my game http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Sims_3_Delete_Cache_Files

I have. Sometimes it helps sometimes it doesn't.

Ok so deleting cashe is not helping? do you have any cc or mods? Have you added anything to the game recently?

I have most EPs. The only CCs are stuff bought from store. The world with most problems is the Island one, and I bounce all over. no particular favs. Just added Roaring Springs.

Hidden Springs or Roaring Heights? I have never played Hidden Springs but Roaring Heights plays well
