Hmmm very interesting. Do you have latest store patch?

You may or may not have tried these, but here are a few things that are know to help launcher issues.

Try deleting the missingdeps file your DCCache folder (Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/DCCache). Sometimes that file gets corrupted and can cause issues with the launcher. It's safe to delete as it will regenerate itself.

You can also try clearing Internet Explorers cookies and cache because the launcher uses its resources.

If that doesn't work you can try a clean Sims 3 folder. Do this by moving your current Sims 3 folder (Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3) to your desktop. Then open your game so a new clean Sims 3 folder is generated. Then try downloading and see if that works.
When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.

Well, you could try directly connecting your PC to a router with an Ethernet cable to speed up your WiFi. It sounds like you might have to clear some leftover files from your last downloads. I would recommend uninstalling and reinstalling The Sims 3 and any expansions, as that should remove any leftover files and let you do a fresh reinstall.

@ChrisDadosky Uninstalling and reinstalling is something we recommend when everything else fails to help. The factory reset and cleaning the
browsers cache recommended by Napoleonwrasse is a better choice i think.

I would be a lot quicker to suspect general Exchange and store server breakages, since these keep happening and then getting fixed on EA's end, than anything requiring a reinstall. But it's always a good practice to clear Internet Explorer's cache and ALL cookies including those for Favorites when this happens as it often helps, especially after an outage is resolved. Even if you never use IE as a browser yourself or ever use its Favorites function, the Launcher and the game do as has been said.

I am having the SAME issue. I just brought all this download content, worlds, expansions and the launcher welcome tab is blank and it will not let me login on it to install all this stuff I brought. It comes up with the same exact results.

I uninstalled everything and reinstalled. Same thing.

I wish players who find they suddenly cannot login would stop uninstalling and reinstalling their games. The problem is either with EA's servers on their end or you need to clear Internet Explorer's cache and ALL cookies. Or both. At the very most, try pulling your game folder out of Documents to your Desktop for safekeeping and attempt to log in on a clean game folder -- but even that is kind of extreme.

Being unable to login does not mean there is something wrong with the game's installation if it was working prior. Installed program files do not suddenly "go bad."

Being that I'm 28 and haven't had a laptop in so long nor played the sims in years, don't know what to tell you. I wish they would had had a notice out to consumers via email that they are working on it. And I figured it was some error with all the downloading I was doing. Not everyone has to be computer savy all the time. Our kids want to play the sims as they never have on PC. Don't have to be all like,"I wish so and so.." Blah

Blah? Wait a minute, I was expressing frustration to some extent but that wasn't meant to be directed at you.

I can see where it's difficult to know whom to trust for tech advice when new to these forums and whom maybe not so much. I suppose. What I really meant was, I wish players didn't feel like they had to go through all of that when it's usually unnecessary (there are exceptions) and yes, I agree that EA could provide much better support than they currently do when issues like this arise.

You can think of me as rude and uncaring if that makes you feel better, but I hope most folks here know that isn't really the case. I'm sorry if it came across that way. :/

@igazor You're not rude at all. You're very helpful, I think.I tried all the suggestions, here, but unfortunately, couldn't get it fixed.Even reset my box.I uninstalled and reinstalled, that seems to be working for now.

I ended up having to uninstall my games and reinstall them.I tried calling EA, but they sent me a link to when your launcher won't open.It would open just wouldn't connect.

Are you ruining Windows 10 by chance? If you are sometimes Windows 10 interferes with our Sims 3 launcher I ran into that problem when I was working on my secondary computer. But I was able to work around the problem.

Yep, I'm running windows 10.That's what my laptop came with.I have a feeling it has to do with edge, for now its fixed, but it will get quite annoying if it keeps happening lol.

I'm having the exact same problem. I haven't signed in or played the game for weeks, maybe months. I've been busy going through all my files, to sort the way I want. If anyone has an answer I'm still interested.

I'm actually having issues again myself.
