Welcome to Legacy Central

A reading circle dedicated to our beloved legacy challenges we cherish so much. All genres of Sim games are welcome, wither it be Sims 1 to 4, as well as all variations of the legacy challenge. We here in Legacy Central are writers and readers of legacy challenges. There will be a weekly reading schedule where we focus on a few chapters of one legacy a week. It's the summer and everyone's schedules are busy so it will be a light reading load per week at this time.

Members please post here when you've published your latest update. It will be added under updates, it will also help me work out the reading schedule as we continue on throughout the weeks. Thanks!

Requirements:

- Must be a legacy challenge story, all variations are welcome
- All rules do not need to be followed to join, everyone has there own preferred method of gameplay
- Share new updates here on the thread for members can keep updated
- Read other circle members stories as they read yours

Hey everyone It's lovely to meet you all, and I'm looking forward to reading your stories.
Mine is a #BuildNewcrest legacy, and whilst I'm going to try my best to stick to all the rules I may deviate a little sometimes for the sake of plot/screencaps.

Hi everyone, my legacy is a traitacy (basically I will be each generation will feature a different trait). It's called The Colt Family Traitacy.

Gen 1 follows Rachel Colt who has moved to Twinbrook and gets involved with the Racket family all while trying to accomplish her dream of being the governor of her state and maybe even the Leader of the Free World.

I started on Tumblr and moved to my WordPress after I decided to write slightly longer chapters. I'm still in generation 1. I'm following most of the legacy rules (except I like moving around a bit so I'm not following the one house rule) and I'm terribly slow at accomplishing goals.

All of my Sims stories take place on the planet, Simterra, in our galaxy, somewhere far far away.

Looking forward to reading others' challenges.

Welcome everyone! I should have the legacy that I'll be sharing with everyone here up and running soon. I've had some personal issues that have come up so I'm working slowly on getting this thread updated.

In the mean time we can start reading the stories that you have all shared. I was thinking that we have a reading schedule where we focus on one story, a few chapters a week. What are your thoughts?

I second that. It would be easier than trying to catch up on everyone's stories all at once.

The Story of A Sim is what it was originally titled, and still is on another site, The Story of Bob Bobson is just what I called it on here. It's not exactly a legacy, it's more like a regular story.

I'm not going to be doing any scoring or have any special rules for Munch Ado About Nothing, just follow a Sim family for 10 generations (not counting the three that already exist)

I really like the style you've got going on - it's very direct and to the point. I know it's early chapters still, but I'm looking forward to seeing what you're going to do with all this! Also, starting the writing from Generation 4 was a pretty brave decision but it's working

First of all, sorry for the notification spam - I tend to leave comments on things a lot. I really love where you've gone with all this! Your writing style is lovely and smooth (and gets progressively better as the story goes on) and I really care about the characters! I'm really looking forward to the next instalment!

@AdamsEve1231 Just finished

It was really interesting to see how the chapters evolved from being almost completely pictures into Really detailed text as well! My word Rachel has tied herself in knots, and I really hope she'll survive with her spirit intact. The baby should be an interesting addition to the story, too!

@SeaDragonSong Your Bob Bobson story really made me laugh! I'm now following your legacy wordpress, so I'll know when that starts

The reason why it's direct and to the point is because my english isn't actually that good so I can't do some fancy word yet.
I started from generation 4 because I didn't have as much screenshot from the previous gen because I just play them casually so do not really understand why it's brave. But thanks though!

Oh BTW, I've read your legacy (all of it) but never actually commented on it so now I felt kinda bad that you've commented on all the chapters and i haven't at all. I binged the gen 1 by downloading the page to read offline and then forgot to comment. I'll try to comment on the next episodes.

Couple updates

- The Callahan Legacy chapter one is complete but not published as I need to finish updating the home page and create a chapters page. Tonight it will finally be available! Woo!
- Second I will try and finish updating this thread with a reading schedule as well
- Also will be adding requirements (ie. Must be a legacy that semi-follows the rules as everyone has there own preferred method of gameplay and must follow along the lines of an original legacy or a variation of the legacy challenge)

Thoughts on the requirements?

For the requirements for me, as long as it's done like how legacy challenge story is which is multi-generational story.

I'm a bit all over the place with the CFT in terms of publishing chapters, but I try at least once a week.
