Yay! I'm really looking forward to doing this again. Thanks @taubanue and @ADWilson for making it all happen. :) I'll go dust off my letter.

The only thing I'm concerned about is that I must stop my procrastinating this month and get my computer updated to Windows 10. I've been avoiding it because I'm worried I might have Sims 3 issues and be forced to go to patch 1.69 (a lot of my stuff is DL) which I really don't want to do. Who knows how long it could take me to get it all straightened out. But, being optimistic, I'm going to plan to do this!

Expansion packs and stuff packs I have installed:
I have all expansion packs. I have most of the stuff packs; the only ones I don't have are Katy Perry Sweet Treats and 70's 80s & 90s.

I have the following store content:
I have almost everything; I think the only things I might be missing are a handful of single items that don't come in any sets that I haven't noticed, and any kind of limited edition store content.

    I have the following worlds:
    All of them

Some of my favorite colors are:
I especially like blues and greens; pastels are lovely too

I really don't like this color:
I'm not very fond of super bright/neon colours

I love to use this set:
I especially like using the Once Upon a Time Cottage, Faire Folk, Contemporary Comfort, and Mediterranean Villa, but I get use out of almost everything I own.

I play mostly in this world:
I alternate fairly often but probably spend most time in Sunset Valley, Hidden Springs, and Riverview.

I enjoy this style of build the most:
I like most kinds, but I'm especially fond of Victorian, Mediterranean, Tudor, and cozy country cottages. Small-medium sized builds that look lived in/used, like with decor/clutter is especially nice!

I really don't want this in my game:
I'd rather not have households with more than 4 sims; it can get a little tricky.

I would like lots of the following sizes:
I probably get most use out of approximately 40x40, but I do like variety in my towns, so probably anything is fine!

I enjoy/don't enjoy berry, occult sims, etc.:
I've never had a berry sim; neutral towards them. I do enjoy the occult sims, particularly fairies and witches!

I would/would not enjoy pets in the household:
I like pets; I don't play them with every household but I do like using them sometimes! I'm especially fond of kitties <3

Other~ (Describe here anything that you would really like.):
It would be nice to have a new place for sims to go, like a hangout, or any new community lot; new houses are always loved and appreciated too. I also really like sims with interesting stories, if you're into a bit of storytelling.
I really enjoy trying out new things with these exchanges, so I'm sure I'll love anything you create! Please feel free to surprise me and have fun :)

Also it is fun to see otger hosts do their thing! I was just a little shocked!
Don't forget to take care of yourself every now and then in this big chaotic world!

Expansion packs and stuff packs I have installed: I have all expansions except Into the Future. My stuff packs include: Diesel, High End Loft, Town Life, Master Suite, Outdoor Living.

I have the following store content: I own a LOT of the store but not quite all. It would be no problem for me to pick up something you might use that I haven't yet purchased. (A couple sets I don't own and don't want are the casino/Las Vegas related sets, Futureshock, and Through the Spy Glass.)

I have the following worlds: All the store worlds except Lunar Lakes.

Some of my favorite colors are: I especially love blues and greens, neutrals, and softer shades of most colors.

I really don't like this color: Can't say I dislike any color, but reds/oranges are my least favorite. Love them for a pop of color as an accent, though. Overly bright and over-saturated colors aren't my thing.

I love to use this set: I'll say the Contemporary Comfort living and bedroom sets. I rarely furnish any home without using at least something from those sets. Also, I seem to be obsessed with any of the country/farmy stuff Sims 3 has to offer.

I play mostly in this world: I play most everywhere (EA and custom worlds), except big city worlds and futuristic worlds.

I enjoy this style of build the most: I really like a variety, from quaint cottages to contemporaries, just depends on the town and the particular sims who will be living in/using the property. The outdoor part of a lot is as important to me as inside - I'm big on nature and greenery.

I really don't want this in my game: I'm not too into the Showtime venues, so making one for me would probably be a waste (it's ok if it's part of something bigger that has more than one purpose, though).

I would like lots of the following sizes: For residential, I would get more flexible use out of properties not bigger than 30x30. Farms and ranches can be bigger, of course, but there again maybe 50x50 would be good since that would allow placement in more places. I'd like community lots on the "smaller side" as well for the same reason.

I enjoy/don't enjoy berry, occult sims, etc.: I like an occasional occult, but I rather like them to look "human." I have some new ones that were gifted to me and picked up a few others from the last exchange, so I'm feeling full up in that area for now. While I've seen some really interesting looking berry sims, that's not something I'm looking to start in my own saves.

I would/would not enjoy pets in the household: I love pets, any kind, but 1-2 in a household is about all I can manage well. (I can handle a little more if we're talking about something like a horse ranch where caring for and interacting with the animals is what the sims mostly do all day.)

Other~ I'm still working on my Deery Meadows save that I started building from scratch. I'm trying to build the community lots as well as a lot of the homes and have really added a lot to it lately with the great gifts CatDog123 made for me, plus a few other lots from the last exchange I thought would fit in. I'm using a style that is it mostly rustic/country/quaint. The houses and other buildings are mostly log, stone, wood and/or wooden shaker shingle. I can still use some 20x20 and 20x30 (most of them oriented with the short side along the street - so deep lots) residential homes for townie housing. I'm playing the save rotationally and will be putting future generations of my four founding families on the available larger lots - to give you an idea, I've been using a 50x50, 2 40x40's and a 30x40 for those families. For them, I'd probably like houses that are around 3 bedrooms, 2-3 baths, with some extra space for whatever hobbies/work they take up (thinking most of them will be self-employed and community property owners). There are a variety of sizes for community lots, too, but again I think I'm seeing a lot of smaller ones. I'm using rabbithole rugs where indicated (which I can add later myself since the exchange is strictly no cc). A few things I could use would include a science facility, business center, civic center, big park, alchemy consignment store, or martial arts academy. I like "fun" kinds of lots if you have any ideas along that line (I'm pretty well set on restaurants, pool, beaches, and have a campground).

But, really, if you would like to make something totally different that would be fine, too. :) Sometimes I need to get out of my rut and try something new, so feel free to give me a push in another direction.

I was worried about Sims 3 issues (as well as issues with some of my other games/programs), but I haven't had any! I don't know if you used Windows 7 or Windows 8, but Windows 10 is MILES better than Windows 8, and is much closer in function and appearance to 7. So, I don't think you'll have any real problems with it. Good luck!

@MiaSkywalker Thanks for the well wishes. I'm not too worried about 10 (I put it on my office computer and it's fine) in general. What concerns me is I might have to reinstall Sims 3. Some of my expansions are DL, and I really don't like the idea of having to go to patch 1.69.

    Yay! Three letters already ~

Lady Em ~ So happy you joined this one we missed you last time!

    Cm ~ <3

Mia ~ So nice to meet you! If it's not straightened out by gifting time we will figure something out to make it work. I hope you have a lot of fun here!!
I came back to the forums (after being gone for about a year), just as you guys were handing out the gifts, and I thought, wow, that looks like it was fun! I wished I could have been in it, and I've been looking forward to your announcement of the next one. :)

As for the logon issues, I PMed SimGuruDrake at the support rep's suggestion, and she sent the information on to the database guys. Yay! So maybe it will get fixed for me soon! If not, I can keep resetting my password... every few days... :confounded:

Well, I didn't need to reinstall anything. But if you're concerned, you can do what I did, just in case; copy everything in your My Documents folder onto an external hard drive, and if all else fails, you can just copy it all back. You should also get all the subfolders for the Sims under Programs (or Programs x86, or whatever yours is called) also to be on the safe side. I personally copied my entire computer to an external hard drive, lock stock and barrel, just to be safe. So I'm paranoid. Keeps me sane. :)

I do Love doing these for everyone because it goes so much farther than the sim gifts. I've met many people that I talk to in rl off of the site or the forums through exchanges. They have become important people in my life and like family members to me so I have gotten very special gifts from both participating in and running them. <3 But I also feel it's time to take a step back.

Addy, Cm, and Shannen have all been amazing behind the scenes simmers and Cm and Shannen ran the one Spooky Day exchange and did a fabulous job. Addy and I have run a lot of exchanges together and she can probably do it with her eyes closed so I know future exchanges are in great hands.

My email is in my about me and I love to talk so anyone should feel free to email me :)

Expansion packs and stuff packs I have installed: Everything except KPST

I have the following store content: Everything

I have the following worlds: All of them

Some of my favorite colors are: Purple (any shade of it, really!), greens, blues, but I like most colors if they go well with what they're used for!

I really don't like this color: Not a huge fan of pink or orange, unless it's in moderation or for a specific theme. Baby girl's room, accent color, that sort of thing.

I love to use this set: I have a lot of sets I love, but some of the ones I always come back to include: all the regency/jazz age things, all the boho sets, the nautical sets, and pretty much all the sets in the "travel and world style" section of the store. With maybe the exceptions of the Vegas set and the Asian sets. Don't use those nearly as much as the others. ;) I really love some of the clothes from these sets as well! Especially the boho, Jazz Age/Roaring Heights, and Fifth Avenue Fashion sets. (also, side note: there really needs to be a collection sort tab in CAS so I can find my favorite outfits faster!)

I play mostly in this world: This changes based on my mood, honestly. Most recently I've been playing in BB (been redoing it completely, mostly using GreenCat's wonderful builds, but also adding some of my own, and some of the lovely things other people have made for me in the gift exchanges!), DV, RH, and a custom world from MySimRealty (Salmon Woods, it's beautiful, like all the rest of the worlds over there!)

I enjoy this style of build the most: All depends on which world I'm playing in (I like the builds to fit their locations as much as possible), but some of my favorites include: craftsman, Victorian, Mediterranean, Art Deco/Nouveau, French country, and I have a soft spot for New Orleans style and Key West style houses.

I really don't want this in my game: Not a huge fan of the pets themselves, though I love all the items that came with that EP. The pets just tend to cause me lots of bugs after any length of time, so I try to avoid them unless I'm doing something specific with them. Also not a huge fan of playing households of more than 5 sims, cause that can get overwhelming fast! Though, I frequently have 8 sims in my neighborhood households I don't play...for their genetics and whatnot. ;)

I would like lots of the following sizes: I usually try to stick with lots in the 20x30, 30x30, 40x40 range, since there seem to be the most EA lots of those sizes to place them on (and once you add in all the lots from all the EPs, those worlds get crowded fast!) but I'm ok with just about any size, if something needs to be bigger or smaller than that.

I enjoy/don't enjoy berry, occult sims, etc: Love my occults. Especially the witches/aliens. Love the fairies/vampires too, but they tend to outlive their welcome and I usually have to either convert them to human or kill 'em off eventually, lol. Werewolves, genies, mermaids, plant sims, love all of 'em. Just not the simbots/plumbots. Robots just don't work well with my play style, most of the time. I don't usually play berry sims; my human sims tend to be pretty natural human colors. And my more human-like occults as well (werewolves, witches, vampires...) but the rest of the occults, feel free to go nuts, or not, whatever works for you! Fairies and genies and aliens and whatnot...they're *supposed* to look different from humans, right? ;)

I would/would not enjoy pets in the household: Would prefer not...it's pretty rare for me to play with the pets, though occasionally I have a sim who is a pet lover.

Other: Always in need of new rabbit hole combo lots, or community lots that serve multiple purposes. I tend to struggle with making these feel landscaped enough when I build them myself, and placing one of the EA lots into (for example) LP just looks wrong, lol. Also, lots that use things from the various WA locations and store venues (so I don't have to send my sims off to china to learn martial arts or waste a whole 40x40 lot on glass blowing, for example) is always nice! I usually play legacy style (I rarely play past 4 generations, but they start with nothing on a 64x64 lot with no cheating and all that fun), so I wouldn't say no to a legacy starter house to build on and expand, either! More attractive single sims or small families (with young children) would be wonderful additions to my worlds as well...playing with the genetics is half the fun for me with my families. But really, I'll be happy with anything! Love seeing the wonderful things people come up with...especially recolors of things. I never would have thought of half the stuff other people come up with!

Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with! Should be tons of fun, as always!

@cmbaker16 Always glad to hear good news. :) And, yeah, the deadline is why I have to do it this month. I've been in the middle of so many projects for months that I didn't want to do it till I *had* to just in case there were problems. I do seem to live in the land of Murphy, where anything that can go wrong will. ;)

Hey everyone! :) Glad to see you all again. lol I tried changing my letter again and maybe shorten it up a bit but I think this letter still works for this exchange as well. Looking forward to seeing all of the amazing stuff everyone comes up with again.

    Username: Catdog123

Expansion Packs and Stuff Packs I have installed:
    All of them

I have the following Store Content: I have all of the sets/venues that come with a premium content item.. I own all of the premium content.. I have most of the hair styles so if you make me a Sim don’t worry about what hair you use. If its one of the few I don’t own I can probably get the hair. I own a lot of the clothes and build buy objects but not all, many of them were bought individually when they were on sale and its just too much to go through. Especially the misc decor, I am totally addicted to misc decor. Some sets I have that don’t have a premium content item with it are; Indian Inspirations Collection, Adventurous Life collection, the Prom Night set, World Inspirations Compilation, Kingdom of Cambodia, Zen Again Bath, Asian Fusion, All of the Ultra Lounge, Le Cirque Esprit, Boho Men’s collection, Bay Side Kitchen and Bath, Jet set elders, Summer Cool nights clothing, Casual Chic Set, Date Night, Celtic Lands, All of the Future Shock Content, Edwardian Kitchen, Loads of Laundry, Fairy Folk Slumber, Loud Clash and Fast Bed and Attire, One with Nature, Level Up Collection, June 2011 compilation, Waning Moon, Nautical Living, Hollywood Regency, Muse Luxury, Through the Spy Glass, December 2011 Compilation, Finest Living, Finest Dinning, the Coffee Bean Hipster Loft, January 2013 Compilation, Blast from the Past, Gothique, Muse Luxury Hollywood Regency, and the Now and then Manor.

I have the following Worlds: All of the worlds.

Some of my favorite Colors are: I really enjoy colors on the “cool” end of the color spectrum like greens, blues and purples however, I like all colors. For example I think red is amazing accent color.

I really don't like this Color: There really isn’t a color I don’t like but would prefer something that isn’t overly Neon unless it really suits the sim or lot.

I love to use this set: Bayside Kitchen is my favorite kitchen set, I like the variety of cabinets that come with it and they seem to suit a lot of different styles of kitchens with the use of create a style. I really love some of the Aurora Sky's decor pieces like the wall shelves with lots of clutter on them. I also really like the ultra lounge sets, bohemian gardens, brunch at the old mill, one with nature set, coffee bean Hipster loft, nautical living, bay side kitchen and bath and the boardwalk set.

I play mostly in this world: Evansdale County by My Sim Realty. Its just the perfect blend of a little bit of every expansion while still managing to not be massive and to run smoothly and look really well put together. I also enjoy three of her other worlds: Storybook County, Anne Arbor and Meadow Glen. All of them are CC and CAP free and I highly recommend them. Many styles of builds would work nicely in her worlds so the sky is the limit in terms of creativity.

My Favorite EA world currently is Lucky Palms. For other EA worlds I still enjoy Sunset Valley even to this day. I also like Moonlight Falls, Sunlit Tides and Starlight Shores but don’t play much in the later as I have a hard time updating it for expansions but I enjoy it’s aesthetics. I enjoy building for Lunar Lakes and Dragon Valley as well as they both really fit a very different kind of build which can be fun to build for I think.

I enjoy this style of build the most: I like a variety of builds to be honest. I like modern and older construction. My favorite is a mixture of the two, for example one of my favorite builds I have made is a farmhouse that has been “renovated” to be a mixture of contemporary and vintage design. I also love really nice landscaping and if it’s a home I prefer it to have some clutter but with enough space for a sim to easily move around. I also love water features in homes and public lots.

I really don't want this in my game: While I like modern things what I don’t like is super stark and cold ultra modern homes. A house that is totally in black, white and grey colors for example just doesn’t feel very home like to me. When I do modern homes I often go for lots of windows, bold accent colors and lots of plants. I am also not a fan of too many patterns in one room like say if there is a bold pattern on the couch I would prefer for there not to be a pattern on the wall behind the couch. For sims, no mummies please, I have a mummy I created myself but the slow walk speed just makes them really hard to play for me. Also despite having the sweet treats sp I would prefer most of the content to not be used. I really only have it installed for the candy containers and a few clothing pieces that aren't candy themed like the Jessica Rabbit dress.

I would like lots of the following sizes: For public lots any size works but for a home please nothing bigger than 50 by 50.

I enjoy/don't enjoy berry, occult sims, etc. – All occults are good for me except for mummies as I stated earlier. I don’t care for berry sims that are supposed to be humans. To better explain I am fine with fairies, mer sims, etc with berry skin tones. I am also fine with berry Sims that are technically humans by game standards but are designed to be a fantasy sim such as elven sim with pointy ears and berry skin. My favorite occults are fairies, genies, mer sims, vampires and aliens.

I would/would not enjoy pets in the household: All pets are fine. I prefer cats and dogs over horses though due to their issues with routing sometimes.

Other~ (Describe here anything that you would really like.) - Id love to see some new genetics for some of my save files, some new families with kids and some nice single sims for dating options would be wonderful. For Sims I really enjoy playing a couple or a single Sim. I also like families but prefer to start out with smaller families with one or two kids so I can add on to the family as I play. I also prefer no more than 2 pets at the start for the same reason as I listed for the kids. I like sims with a little bit of character to them, I like pretty sims as much as the next simmer but also like for them to have some sort of interesting characteristic. I think sims of all shapes and sizes just like people are beautiful. I really like purple eyes as a side note. For public lots I am always looking for fun places for my Sims to hangout: clubs, bars, restaurants, shops, parks, etc the Sky is the limit really. I would love a Showtime themed lot to go in lucky palms. Always looking for some 20 by 20, 20 by 30 and 30 by 30 homes.

I would really love to see some creativity and for the buddies’ personality to shine in the creation. If there is something you are really wanting to try making or something you are really passionate about making Id love to see that even if it doesn't really fit with my letter. I am sure anything you build I will love. Often times my favorite creations are ones where I forced myself to make something different than what I would normally like and have fallen in love with it after it was done because it was different.

Expansion Packs and Stuff Packs I have installed: EP's I have are: Generations, Late Night, Island Paradise, Into the Future, University Life, World Adventures, Ambitions and Seasons. High-end Loft Stuff and Town Life stuff packs.

I have the following Store Content: I pretty much own the store except for some odds and ends of clothing, so if you use something I don't have, don't worry about it. If I don't have it , I can get it!!

I also have all the venues and all the premium items that come with them
All the free stuff except Dr Pepper and Katy Perry or pre-order sets.

I have the following Worlds: I have all of them, gold content included

Some of my favorite Colors are: Blues, greens, peach, clean modern colors like turquoise, orange and black and white with punches of color.

I really don't like this Color: Brown, Bright brash neon colors or too much red and purple (a little is okay)

I love to use this set: No preferences here, I like to mix them all up for a unique look.

I play mostly in this world: I enjoy playing in Barnacle Bay, Sunlit Tides, Hidden Springs and Lucky Palms. I have been slowly building up Deery Meadows by My Sim Realty.

I enjoy this style of build the most: Residential, any type that is cozy, one or two stories at most with lots of room for activities both inside and out. Commercial, I like multi-purpose or a lot with lots of things to do, places to eat and things for kids of all ages to skill up.

I really don't want this in my game: I don't like the painted face makeup or tattoos, Supernatural and no CC please.

I would like lots of the following sizes: Anything from 10x10 to 40x40.

I enjoy/don't enjoy berry, occult sims, etc. No on berry or occult (those just don't fit my play style) but I wouldn't mind a plant sim since I have never seen what they do.

I would/would not enjoy pets in the household: I love pets, but don't have that EP, so would not like.

Other~ (Describe here anything that you would really like.) I'm trying to update towns like Barnacle Bay, Sunset Valley and Riverview and could use some multi-purpose lots and/or lounges, bars, clubs of all kinds. I always appreciate houses, mostly for one or two sims at a time. I saw another letter mention lots with things found in World Adventures, that would be an awesome idea. I'm pretty full up on sims since the last few exchanges but as I said above maybe a plant sim would be nice.

    Love reading letters!

By the way, I'm aiming to improve my screenshot-taking skills, and have been searching for guides/tutorials. Just wondering if anyone here knows of any guides that exist that they would recommend :) I'm hunting through google now, but if there's any anyone would like to share that would be great!

I'm always so impressed with so many pictures people take in game, especially with all those that are shared in these gift exchanges :)

I hope that everyone is having a lovely day!

Hope to read new letters soon
