Wont load?

Hello,

I havent played in a while been trying to since getting dine out and now my game for some reason wont load I tried adding one of the restaurants and it stays on the build loading page forever does not load, now trying to enter a lot of one of my families and same issue wont load just stays on the plumbob page and the caption page! Never had this happen?

Hello.
Come out of the game completely. Shut down your computer completely. Start the computer again, then launch the game and see if that helps.

Sometimes having a large amount of items in the sims inventories and household inventory can cause issues. Remove some of the items from the inventories and see if that helps.

Do you have cc/mods in your game? If you do, move your mods folder to the desktop. Then start the game and test to see if the issues are still there.

Try resetting your sims 4 folder and see if that helps. To do that, move your sims 4 folder ( that is in Documents -Electronic Arts - then the sims 4 folder is there ) to the desktop. Then start the game, and a new sims 4 folder will be generated. Exit the game and then copy back the "options.ini" and "ReticulatedSplinesView" files and the "saves" , "screenshots" "tray" "custom music " and "mods" folders from the desktop sims 4 folder to the new sims 4 folder, replacing the new generated files/ folders with the old files/folders from the desktop sims 4 folder .

Try lowering your graphics settings and see if that helps.

If the issue still remains, repairing the game may help. To do that, right click on the sims 4 picture in Origin and click repair.

You could also try run as administrator and see if that helps. To do that, shut down your game and right click on Origin. Then click on run as administrator to relaunch your game.

Tried all that still seems to not work!

Try switching back to 32 bit mode and see if that helps. To do that ,
Go to My Games in Origin . Right click on The Sims 4 picture.
Click on “Game Properties”
Change the “When launching this Game” setting to “The Sims 4 32-bit”

My game now wont start with CC in it only when I take it out!

Ah - you've got at least one item of CC that's no longer game compatible. Add it back in gradually until you figure out what won't let the game open.

Move your mods folder to the desktop. Then start the game and a new mods folder will be generated. Exit the game .Then put your mods/CC back into the newly generated mods folder in the sims 4 folder one by one or in batches and testing the game after each one to see which is the cause of the problem. Put one item in , test the game , take it out. Then test another one, to find the cause of the issue.

I got a lot of CC lol would take forever wish their was an easier way! Since the new update and dine out I get this issue never before

Because you have a lot of mods/cc, use the 50/50 method. Put half of your mods/cc into the mods folder then start the game and see if the issue is still there. If the issue is not there, then you know that those items work okay with the game. Then you can test the other half of your cc/mods.
If the issue is still there with the first half, you will need to keep testing them to see what is causing the problem. Then you will need to test the second half of your cc/mods too.

Finally Figured it went in batches and took out the bad files their were a few! Thanks

I'm having this same problem. I really did not want to have to test each of the mods, (I have a lot of them) but I know it's a mods or CC issue as I've already moved the folder out and tested the game. Also I have the Mod Conflict Detector, as well as the Package conflict detector and neither are picking up any bad files. Oh well.

Hi, So It Lets Me Into My Sims And It Lets Me Into The Worlds And Cas But It Wont Let Me Play As My Sims This Has Been Happening For About 2 Weeks And Every time I Try To Play It Just Keeps On Loading For Ever I Tried Shutting Down My Computer, It Didn't Work. I Tried Re-Opening Sims 4 I Tried Waiting. All Of Them Didn't Work.

Move your whole mods folder to the desktop. Then start the game and see if the issues are still there. If it has helped with the issues, put your mods/ CC back into the newly generated mods folder that is in the sims 4 folder one by one or in batches and testing after each one to see which is the causes of the problem.
