Good Wide Angle digital camera?

I'm looking for a digital camera that can take good group photos of my four dogs sitting together, without the picture being crowded or having to stand far away to fit them all in. My mom and I set up the dogs on the dining table with a blanket for a backdrop, and the photos I take with my Kodak Easyshare don't look right.
Our dogs are white, and with the fluorescent light of the dining room they turn out either yellowish or the photos look dark. If I turn off the flash, they look white but the photos are blurry. I also have trouble fitting in a lot of landscapes in one shot when I take pics outside. Is there a better camera out there? I bought this camera in 2010.
