I think its time to beef up the area of physical fitness and generally activities in the Parks, Playgrounds and Gyms in the game. I especially think children and elders need activities that would be normal for them to engage in.

Gyms

Equipment

10. Archery - Would be awesome to add to the Granite Falls area

Sports

1. Basket Ball Hoop with court - If there is two then they will form up teams and play back and forth. They can also attempt to learn Harlem Globe Trotter style tricks
2. Tennis Courts - Would be a good sport for elders
3. Golf Driving Range Tee
4. Mini Golf holes
5. The Log Rolling thing from Bon Voyage. That thing would be in the camping area in my game so fast it would make your head spin
6. Skateboards - For Children and Adults
7. Frisbees - Something you can also toss to dogs when they are introduced
8. Hacky Sack
9. Baseball Batting Cages
10. Scuba Diving
11. Surfing
12. Volleyball nets for the beach

Parks & Playgrounds

Parks

1. Water Fountains - The kind you drink from

• Wall Mounted Fountain - Would be nice for gyms
• Free-Standing Fountain
• Pet Water Fountain for Dog Parks

2. Staging for Public Performances

4. Boule a game played in Park in France
5. Feeding the Pigeons
6. Flying Kites
7. Grand Merry Go Rounds (Carousels)
8. Tai Chi - Would be nice for elders
9. Mime & Human Statue
10. Podiums for Speeches
11. Gazebo build items
12. Huge Fountain that kids & Adults might enjoy splashing in
13. Ice Skating either by rink or frozen pond

Playground Equipment

1. Playground Merry go Round

5. Swings - Children and Adults can enjoy playing on a swing. This would also be building block for porch swings

Water Park

1. Generally Splash Park Equipment - Preferably build pieces so we can make water parks

Dog Parks

1. The above mentioned water fountains for Pets
2. Dog obstacle course objects similar to what they have in agility competitions
3. Dog Show Tables so that Dog shows can go on at the parks
4. Pools or Ponds where a dog could swim if it wanted

Skills - Skills that are physical in nature should always improve the fitness skill as well as improve how well they are doing at the activity. Consider it a twofer

1. Basket Ball Skills - Hidden so you can learn the Globetrotter-esque tricks
2. Tai Chi - Hidden so that the Sim can do Tai Chi more gracefully, longer and learns more moves. Should improve fitness skill
3. Fencing Skill
4. Boxing
5. Karate or Tae Kwon Do
6. Skating (Roller & Ice) - Regular 10 level skill that allows to do both well
7. Swimming & Diving Skill - Improves the kind of dives and swimming strokes and perhaps how long a Sim can hold their breath. Should be improved by Snorkeling and Diving. Mermaids should be at Max level when created
8. Pool - Every dive bar needs a pool table. Pool tables should allow Sims to improve their skill and learn new types of Pool tricks and games with each level.

• Ballroom Dancing - Would enhance the dancing skill

I'm #TeamSwinger! Wait that came out wrong! How about this I support the idea of getting swings as really I was upset to find a park without one but then again many basic things were given the cut!

I really want Archery and I want it linked to Woodworking
like if I have a high enough Archery Skill, and a high enough Handiness skill then I can Start crafting my own Bows and arrows, and as I level up the better and more unique my bows become, and sharper the arrows.
and as a Personal thing I think it would be cool to have different arrow heads.
Emerald Tipped Arrows, Sapphire, Ruby, Diamond, Gold, Silver. you know put Crystals and Metals to good use.

And another cool thing is different ways to practice.
Shooting Apples off another sim's head.

I want my sim to be able to take the ball into his inventory, and practice inside, and get in trouble with his parents, knock over and break a few lamps vases. you know be able to practice without putting a goal on the property.

Team sports would be terrific, especially since there already is a group function. I was really surprised that swings were not introduced with the Romantic Gardens pack. IMO, the new monkey bar would have looked so much better as a swing.

I'm not saying that team sports aren't a good idea. I think that the mechanism to make it work seems to be more work than the devs of Sims 4 want to put to the game. Hey they might pleasantly surprise me but so far I feel the game is a huge step back on a lot of levels. I do think team sports would be a nice addition though

Swiiiings! And just generally more playground equipment for children, but maybe with some special animations for teens-elders, like hanging out, etc. I also miss the football, baseball, hacky sack, and frisbee from TS3. They were great for families or groups of friends to use in parks or at home.

My gyms just don't seem right without a weights section. We definitely need weights.

And anything sports-related would be very welcome. Basketball hoops, baseball diamonds, heck, bring back the volleyball net from The Sims 1.
Kids need swings, too. Without a doubt. What kind of park doesn't have a swingset?

I would also like to have more sport related items to parties and sport pubs. Maybe even face paint for those big games you watch on the pub TV with your friends.

I love all of these ideas. I think all of the exercise and sports you named would fit perfectly in a sports gp. For the play ground equipment, I think it would go well with a generations ep or kids gp.

yes these would be great in sims 4 maybe a stuff pack
especially like the idea of swings and the ballet Barre would also like to see a soccer goal like in previous sims game versions

I think having team sports will require a lot of work from the devs...

Some other sports ideas that come to my mind are:
1. Gymnastics- example pole vault, bars etc...
2. Top-roping and bouldering- If not anything, they can add a bouldering wall with 10 trails of different difficulty levels to master.
3. Swimming- Different types of strokes such as front crawl, backstroke, butterfly
